I am almost losing being a "beginner" with a bit of years of experience and I can confirm I used to obsess about small little unnoticeable details, which are the number one reason why I don't finish works, and I lose motivation half-way. I look at the tiny details and think "I'm too lazy for this shit" lol.

I happen to be recently introduced to digital art, so it's just practicing in black and white, and with this video the shadows and the lighting being explained so well, and on how it has to be achieved is just a huge thing, I hope u can share some information on black and white landscape painting, thank you ✌
Really glad to know that. You might find this video useful - ua-cam.com/video/Rss6ne_tHiY/v-deo.html
OMG thank you so much for this! I love dramatic lighting in paintings and always struggled to literally paint the light beams and shadows on my normal painting layer. Of course I use overlay etc., twitch the levels, curves at the end of the process and work with masks through the painting but I never thought about using levels with masks for the lighting itself. You saved me so much future working hours on my pieces! Again thank you, much appreciated
i've been watching a few videos on lighting and this is by far the best expanation, thank you
