Very helpfull and informatic video congrats. The service pack and stage one are good in price, but the stage 2 and 3 are bit expensive for me. I have a '92 318is Coupe and im a university student and like always short on money :)) i wish i can afford just the service pack with new berings because my diff is almost finished his healt..
@@RacingDiffs need some modifying? or just drop it in (skipping the adjustment, regulation)? Guys, thanks for replay, you are doing a great work with diffs
I dont remember if it was a diff vid, possibly the one with you racing your e36 around the race track, you said power over 250 horsepower would break the smaller diff. Now, on this video after bullet'proofing, how much power will it handle before I really need to upgrade to a larger case diff?
Actually that depends on gear ratio. LSD unit after upgrade is not weak point anymore. But shotrter gear ratio is more likely to break. Also axles. So all in all, I would say above 300hp, you need 188mm to be safe.
@@RacingDiffs Would you suggest the stage 2 for street use or its strictly for the track? Right now my clutch disks are worn and to be honest i dont know how much the 25% actually feels...but I was already thinking the 25% is low and I needed the 40% before I installed the diff.
@RacingDiffs Official ok so im going for the stage 2 but i have a question. In order to put the new billet cap from the kit do i need a new bearing to put on the cap or can I reuse the bearing from the stock cap? Can the stock cap be reused ?
I am looking at rebuilding an e21 3:91 LSD your kits say service e21 but they don’t list stage 2-3 etc wondering if I can get a stage 2 or 3 can you clarify what is available for e21 LSD thank you
We don't make stage kita for e21 as there wasn't enough interest. However, we can make a custom set for you to double the number of plates inside. It would cost as 2 service packs. Drop email to office@racingdiffs.com, say that you spoke to Luka and we will hook you up with the set.👍🏻
@@RacingDiffs thanks you guys are awesome I’ll be building a e21 s52 swap this should work perfectly. Thanks for the quick response. I’ll show the build on my channel.

@@RacingDiffs thx for answering promptly. Thx for taking the time to make your vids; always very informative and straight to the point
Thank you for following us!
Hello! For the e36 what percentage of locking does the 168mm diff reach when we fit the stage 2 with 4 clutch plates ? Thank you!
Stg 2 provides a bit over 50% lock. If you require more, you need to change ramp angles to kore aggressive.

I totally agree. If you wish to do more skids, I would defo recommend 4 clutches.

You can reuse old bearing. Just be careful when you rake it off the old one.

Excited to see it. I love E21! 🙂
How much power/torque can 168 handle? I will tune my m42 up to 180bhp wonder if I should go with large case
