The T-72M2 Moderna is the top reward event vehicle for The Battle of Arachis. The T72M2 Moderna is in the Russian Tech Tree as a non premium MBT at battle rating 10.0!
The Moderna has Gen 2 Thermals, Laser Warning, Excellent ERA and a TAPNA Shell with over 500mm of penetration! The only downside to this tank is that it has terrible reverse speed.
If you're a collector or really into Russian Tanks this is definitely one you'll want to have!

The intro is a bit incorrect, as the T-72M2 isnt a Russian modernization for export, its a modernization of a Soviet export T-72M that were given to Czechoslovakia in the 70's, inherited by the Slovaks, and heavily modernized.
Kind of annoying that most content creation rn can't not fucking mention the Russian Ukraine War. Like God damn.

I wish the hard to get crafting vehicles were at least premiums, seeing as they are such a painful grind to get. But nope.
Not only that, the rewards are LOWER than normal tech tree vehicles, substantially as well. They are like inverse premiums, they are actively worse than any other vehicle.

I'm so happy I will be able to get this Moderna, finishing 2 victory medal today and I should be able to get the 3rd one. Plus next small detail I would like to see if the crew language would be same as the country the tanks come from. Slovakia tank so crew would speak Slovak and so on for other tanks
It's amazing and definitely worth the grind in my opinion.
Absolutely not. Not saying it cant be a good tank just that the playtime required is insane and its not even a tank that has premium modifiers

I find this is far from the worst in recent times the one for the object 279 was much worse and the xm8 one a bit also. This one only has one material coming from boxes so it's much less random luck.

Im ready suicidal and this event somehow manages to make me feel more empty despite already feeling fucking empty inside. Only gaijin can achieve such a feat. Though if I be honest war thunder so helps distract my mind from being depressed all the time. Probably the only time I don't feel too shit.

I found the grind for this surprisingly light in comparism to other events, I have nothing high tier in the russian tree to go with it so it will be redundant for a long while

I really hate crafting events. It's like, "damn, that's a really cool and fun looking vehicle that I'd like to have in my collection," before your brain takes over afterwards and then it's, "... but I don't want to grind seven hours a day of pure War Thunder bullshit."

240 superweapon points, chests will depend on the amount of credits you get but probably around that number too.

Wouldn't mind owning a T-72, but Gajin's events are always so convoluted and confusing to earn a vehicle. Not even worth trying to grind the event when you can unlock the same tank with only slightly less protection via tech tree, or unlock a T-55AMD-1 at 8.3 that has APS and good meme armor.

its not too confusing, its just a massive grind. like upwards of 5 hours *in a match* every day for the whole event for the top tier rewards

Its not modernized version for export.
Its already exported version from 80's and then modernized by Slovakia in 90's after Soviet Union fell.

@@jermasbiggestfan7796 its a metal grill some russian tanks have had attached during the invasion of ukraine designed to stop anti tank weapons from going throught the roof the only issue is that they don't work 99% of the time because javelins use a tandom warhead which goes though the grille and then the second warhead destroys the tank itself via going though the top the cope prefix is to denote the fact they don't work
it's got the shovel button... but I don't see a shovel? Does the front suspension go all the way down just so it can use that little front nub?
It is normally folded to the lower front, using it will unfold it, though it is rather small.

i am debating going for the alecto mk 1 or waiting to get the t72 what would anyone have like recommendations on what vehicle to take also i am half way to getting a victory point.
The moderna will be expensive on the market and you have tons of time to finish your victory point to get the alecto.
The alecto is going to be shit. No armour, only 100mm pen on the HEAT shell, even though its 95mm caliber (What are you doing, britain?), mobility is average? Maybe below average because it doesnt get a turret. The gun is gonna be difficult to shoot at greater distances with, due to low velocity.

T-55AM1 is great and has an amazing br that is probably more beginner friendly, the T-72AV Turms-T is also a beast but at a less forgiving br and it will take you longer to get a lineup for the premium, but overall both are amazing premiums, i would not get the object 120 since it has no armor is very situational and not beginner friendly

@@cia6286 In the end i would say go for the T-55AM-1 for sure especially if you are not used to top tier the APHE is amazing with the laser rangefinder getting mostly one shots and for long range or heavily armored targets you use the very useful atgms which also come in handy for helicopters, it also has really good armor for the br being able to survive a lot better than any other tank. It has an upgraded engine so is also not hindered by the extra weight. I would say get this premium over any other and also russia is my favourite tree overall having every single tech tree vehicle in it so definitely worth the grind. I also have the leopard l44, amx 30 super, T-72AV and WMA 301 and i would say it is my favourite out of them by far, it made the grind fun and bearable and is the reason its my first full ground out tree

You almost can't do it in 6 days unless you are on the top of your team every match, as 8×3 bases take 4 hours to destroy without being on top of your team for 120 matches. The average player will need 8 hours for 3 days to get one victory point. It's bs. Especially when you have to upgrade your tank afterwards.

No its armor is more like in between the t72b and a, and the ammo is a bit weaker than 3bm46 on the t80u, and do remember the m60 ambt and m1128 are at 9.7 with better rounds that will go straight through this thing
Lol, it has armour that can be easily defeated by any round that's equivalent to 120 DM33, with a round worse than M900 and 3BM46.
