virgil I still have my PS2 and all of my games. :p But I don't want to play, I'm scared to break it. I prefer to play this later, like in 10 years, with mega-nostalgia of 20 years!
This was our last line of defense between our innocence and the harsh reality of the world. Countless nights with your buddies after school. Pizza and snacks playinng for hours into the dead of the night. Real men cry when they hear this
Man remembering playing this as a kid makes you emotional I remember this was my very first game I got with my original Xbox when I was like 9 yrs old (now I’m 24) my mom got mad at my dad for getting me an Xbox first of all and then with this game since it was violent but her letting me get to play it created one of the best memories ever for me 🥹😇
Have you played COD 3? COD 3 is probably the best installment in the series! It's full of witty batter, funny one liners, and the best goddamn American motherfucking intro speech ever. Here's a summary of the speech, you're CO says "So we were gonna go get donuts and coffee, but the Germans ate all the donuts and drank all the coffee. So now we gotta go kick their ass!" Like what fucking cod has that?! This game has stood the test of time, and now it's being forgotten and plagued my mistagged links and videos. WE CAN NOT LET THIS CLASSIC BE FORGOTTEN! Also you play as like, every major fucking country under the allied forces including some resistance forces ALL IN A LONG AS FUCK CAMPAIGN! I rest my case and I'm now putting in the disc for COD 3 and installing it on my xbox one.
When I visited Normandy with my father 10 years ago we came across a tiny museum (built in a small barn) dedicated to the fighting first infantry division. All I could think about was my memories from this game, and then lo and behold, behind a glass cabinet door was a copy of this game. Was a fun little museum. I hope it's still going. Miss you Bloomfield!
When this song starts to play in the last moments of the last mission (Chambois) for me is the best moment in all Call of Duty games combined. A really epic ending.
I remember playing Medal of Honor in my 5th grade class and was hooked after that. My childhood was growing up playing all the CoDs and MoH's on PS2...
“I’m McCullin. Two rules. Rule one, you’re no good to me dead. Rule two, ah what difference does it make you’ll all probably end up dead anyway.” -Sun Tzu
This give me so much nostalgia, back when life was elementary school, house, real friends and playstation 2. Simplier times! No social networks no season pass or dlc.
"McCullin told me to you to go to hell. But you're okay Guzzo.. You're okay..." *-Dixon in his dying breaths* People shit on COD 3 but those scenes still hit me as hard as Roach and Soap's deaths.
My dad bought me this as a present when he was coming back from work at the airport ( he had been on a business trip in europe) it was my first ps3 game too, remember the times i would play this religiously with him at home, sadly he died four years ago, hearing this after such a long time of not playing it since 2009 really hits hard :(
This reminds me of the many times that i would just sit at the menu screen and listen to this, now where are we with CoD? Some crappy background music that just doesn't give that epic effect.
ikr? me and my brother would just let this theme play before he'd go back to his hard mode file, and talk about how epic it is! lol we also loved Michael Giacchino's themes from the Medal of Honor games
Oh god Medal Of Honor, I miss that game so much. Especially Medal Of Honor Frontline. Manor House Rally was one of the theme for the trailer but I personally like the part where you have to go through a city fighting the Germans then climbing up a tower with a MG42. And finally find the U-Boat handling cargo. That theme was badass
This soundtrack make me nostalgic when I was 8 years old and as the first game that makes me Love FPS. If this games get Remastered i will be buy this game again in the heartbeat
This was mine and my brother's childhood. Local coop on the church map when I wasnt playing the campaign for the millionth time. Also, when it kicks in at 2:28 the feels are unreal...
Seeing the menu and the background pic, then the music starts playing. Gives me a lot of goosebumps. Damn good ol' memories. I played this game when I was 9 (7 years ago) and finished the whole campaign over and over again. THIS is what Call of Duty is all about. The epic soundtrack, WW2 things, gameplay, story line, characters & their development, all those! And also these quotes that I'll never forget as long as I live. "I'm McCullin. Two rules. Rule 1: You're no good to me dead. Rule 2: ... Uh, what difference does it make? You all probably end up dead anyway.." - McCullin "Well, that was so 'inspiring'.." - Huxley "You want inspiration, Huxley, read a poem. Sarge is ten times a soldier you'll ever be. Okay listen up! Today, we're on a secret mission to get the coffees and donuts. The problem is, the Germans have drank all the coffees and ate all the donuts. So now, we're gonna go kick their asses!" - Dickson "Or we can just stay back at the base and enjoy those French rolls we got!" - Huxley "I'm Guzzo. One rule, you're no good to me dead." - Guzzo "What kind of pep talk was that?" - soldier "You want inspiration, Private? Read a poem." - Huxley I -- no, WE demand a remake of this game with the next-gen graphics!
I'm guessing this song is supposed to remind everyone of all the soldiers who fought and gave their lives to defend their families. It is melancholic but also gives you that heroic feeling, reminding you it wasn't in vain and we should be proud of them :) That's what i take from it at least, and that's kinda what i remember from the game's story (without being able to understand it at the time, literally knew almost nothing about english) Still remember it to this day, and i wish more games had such banger themes nowadays

Felt exhilarating hearing this during the end of chambois ending on veteran(been going back to the classics to complete them all on veteran)
"The hunter's on. Right Bohater?"
Nostalgia extrema ouvindo esta musica... E bons tempos de Call Of Duty 3.. Me lembro como se fosse hoje de manha quando eu zerei..
Como vc esta após 10 anos?
My friend and I played this game growing up and because of the theme and this game he joined the army and is now a Sargent in the us army and just came home a few days ago from the final phase of deployment
My father gifted me this game in 2006 for Play Station 2. This COD was my very first one, and when I heard this music, I remembered those days, playing with my father, my brothers, and my friends, I remember my childhood
The best cod theme for me
I'm amazed that a game that only took 8 months of development has one of,if not the best, theme in the entire series (my personal opinion).
they have got to make a remake!!!!
***** And PS2 you mean. CoD3 wasn't on PC.
They should!
Headless HorseMan Gaming remastered 32/64 players that would be awesome :)
Yes yes yeess
Yes :')
Many years ago I played this game during some of my darkest moments. This theme allowed me time to relax, cheer up and feel better about myself. I come back from time to time!
Dude, same :D
0:48 nostalgia
All good memories,
9273 time listening and still feels awesome
I stand strong by my claim this is the first one I ever played and I still love it! I’m kinda sad it didn’t get a pc version.
My first cod ever and still my favorite
I didn't heard this music for more then 10 years, hits right in the feelings
Todays kids wont understand…
