Loved this movie, and I am not Jewish. But, I got it. That scene where Ben is saying Kaddish and now finding the tears for his parents, great stuff. Didn't know Rogen had it in him.
@@UNPACKED If these people were in fact from Slupsk (a real Polish village) they might well have had Russian accents - the village used to be Stolp when Germany dominated, but was changed to Slupsk when the Russians dominated....so there you go.

Now that this video is good PR for Seth Rogen‘s movie, it would be appropriate for Unpacked (which I appreciate) to make one which debunks Rogen‘s anti-Israeli statements.
Seth Rogen is a funny guy, I do see a lot of good in this and it is just comedy, but owns historical facts, which is a good thing to memorize past history.
I am a descendant of the cossacks of eastern Europe. Somthing I learned through our history is the awful treatment of the Jews by my people. Unfortunately now I am in a community where there are not many Jews so I never really got to learn and interact with any, but the disdain for Jewish people from a cossacks perspective is somthing that was not passed down by my family, and shall be never be taught to my children. I know it's weird to leave such a comment in UA-cam but it felt like maybe someone may see. I can't speak for all cossacks, but at least for my line, anyone who may see this accept my deepest apologies.
Thank you, friend. If it’s any consolation, there were plenty of Cossacks among the Zaporozhians before Khmel conducted his atrocities. Not a multitude or anything, but at one point the hatred wasn’t so deeply rooted. Berakha Heroy is an example of the Jewish Cossack phenomenon. Even Ukraine which in the words of the anthem “i pokazhem shcho miy brattya kozatskoho rodu” is more or less a Cossack state which is currently led by a Jewish man, and he has that Kharakternik, wild zaporozhian spirit about him! Peace to you, and may we soon see an end of hatred, bigotry and pain in this world.
Stop saying eastern europe. I know all connotations - hero is definitely from Belarus. We have city called Slutzk, we are obsessed about picked food, especially pickles, and have long story of all kind of invaders and wars coming to our lands

You don't need to be Jewish to enjoy it.
Seth Rogen is supposed to be playing a native Yiddish speaker yet when his character speaks English, he speaks with a Russian, not Yiddish, accent.
We didn't say they got EVERYTHING right :)
