I can believe the "AW" combination is /a:/ from throat, but as for the "ONG" combination is still /a:/ is hardly used by speakers,

the packaged chicken broth ...hmm... it doesn't look, smells or tastes like a chicken broth...might as well shake a whole chicken above a boiling pot of water and call it a chicken broth. Especially this brand.

How do you pronounce "eggnog"?... oh or ah?
oh
Ah
A lot of Americans do not distinguish the two sounds Ah and AW.
Hi, Kevin! Is it ok to pronounce saw, boss, cross, daughter, rock, hot, call with the same a: sound? Some Americans do that, right? It would be great to see the transcription of the sound when you pronounce it, thank you so much for the video ❤
yes, merging ɔ with ɑ to ɒ
The author doesn't merge but you can if you want to, it depends on the state you live in. About 70% of Americans merge them I guess. Maybe a bit less then 70, but definitely more than a half
You didn't ask me , but those words were covered in this video. Did I miss something in the 58 minutes video?
yes, except Call ( not a but o )
