This is my favorite type of videos. Correcting mistakes that most English learners would make and learn to avoid.🎉🎉🎉
This lady’s nerve in “teaching” English amazes me
I love this channel, and I'm sure I can learn accurate American English here.
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
Here in Brazil we called...
Kevin and Liza the mistakes hunters....
Super Heroes of learning accurate....
Thank you Kevin for correcting these pseudo teachers. I learnt a lot from your channel
"Above the table" was the last straw😂What the heck!!!
Good lesson as always! Thanks, Teacher!✍✍
Hello Kevin and Liza! I'm going to set aside some time to watch all your videos. It's time to focus on learning real English.
Thanks for the lesson.
Because of you guys we succeeded beyond expectations. I wish you’ll open a one on one class in the future. We are very thankful 🙏❤️
Keven's the One Who has an unlivable talent to teach,
Truthfully Kevin keeps up that Way, you're incredible!
You are perfect teacher 👍
Well done 👏 bro
Your. English is impeccable. Keep correcting others
19:54 a very good point. Match my dress NOT Match WITH my dress
I like your videos and I keep learning from you. However, since we are talking about mistakes, we don't say "They are laying in the snow". We have to use the intransitive verb "lie". "They are lying in the snow" is the correct answer. "To lay" is a transitive verb and it's followed by an object e.g. "I am laying the table" or "the hen is laying an egg". "Lay" is also the past simple form of "lie"[to be in a horizontal position]. I also teach English but I 'm not a native speaker of the language.
36:20 *take A* cruise or *go ON* a cruise
26:24 *set aside some time* or *set some time aside*
thank you very much
Thanks a lot! It was pretty useful as usually!
Arianita must be crying!😂😂😅😅
30:31 you *turn* or *tighten* or *loosen* bolts and nuts with a wrench
Good job Kevin
Have a good night 👍
She created her own English language 😂😂😂
35:36 a cruise is a Trip, not a SHIP
Thank you for protecting us from pidgin english
31:06 it's *called* something different / else. NOT differently
I love the most these videos about avoiding making mistakes , I put like before seeing the video ,, I learn a lot from it ( plz correct my mistakes)
❤❤❤
Thahnk you so much
Thanks Kevin🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
❤
Kevin, thank you for this video! It’s very helpful. The only thing is that there‘s no phrasal verb in the expression to go on a cruise since the preposition on refers to the cruise, not to the verb, which makes it a collocation.
Great video🎉🎉🎉🎉
Good job
"It may turn the road to ice." is very bad. Aye yai yai.
Thanks so much .
The word "Fanta" is pronounced the way she did in UK.
Thank you, Kevin
Hey Kevin. I've just noticed, you got new microphone. SHURE SM7B. Good choice. Now it's way much better sound quality in your video. Nice to hear it.🙂
Way to go!
Those types of teacher's main aim is earning money. They don't care about learners future
All online English teachers aim money. Just care about the info they provide you with.
Ariannita la gringa makes a lot of mistakes trying to teach english however, she says that she's a native english speaker.
I don't get her thinking. Her mistakes in this video are very bad. I am not a native speaker but lived in the US a long time. Even I know that's not how to say it. "When it snows it may turn the road to ice." Nooooo~~~~~ The road may be covered with ice but the road itself doesn't turn to ice. She's putting herself out there in public and she thinks nobody is gonna call her out? I really don't understand.
I do think she can teach and she does make fun videos. But she ought to prepare a script before filming and check for accuracy.
@@onlyscience28 I totally agree with you pal, with everything you texted, I really believe that she's an arrogant person and doesn't care at all, all she cares about is money, just like Marina. That shows lack of Ethics.
She and Marina & company should be studying the language first and maybe some day they can be called "English teachers"
@@onlyscience28 Yeah she shouldn't advertise herself as a native speaker.to mislead people. That can actually be considered "fraud".
37:52 you *PUSH* buttons, you *TURN* knobs
Great lesson!!!!
I'm confused with this sentence. Tap my glass against their glass. Why not against their glasses. To me it sounds as if many people were holding one glass. It confuses me a lot 😢
Thank you for what you do for us!!!!
Kevin, first of all, thank you for your job! It's so useful! I would like to ask you, if it's possible some time in the nearest future ,😊 to make a video on the confusing topic What's the difference between "I get my dinner ready/I cook my dinner" or I need to get my work done/ I need to do/complete my work. In all these sentences it means that I do the action myself in my case (it's not causitiv verbs), so in what situations should I use either of them, and how can I understand where the causative form and where the person does it himself.thank you in advance!
Ariannita provides enough material for 50 videos ! lol
So much mistakes in a 50 kilos body
@@ITentrepreneurso MANY mistakes…
Thank you Kevin.
Why don't people say
I would tap my glass against their glasses instead of against their glass? Thank you
What a shame! UA-cam must mark this type of video "not for learning".
There should be a law against fake English teachers in the USA. They shouldn't teach a language which they don't master.
There can be non-native English teachers BUT they have to be technically prepaired, I mean they have to study first.
I bet you learned a lot. UA-cam knows it's for learning.
When do we use preposition on with line?
But as far as I know ''ae'' like in APPLE changes into a diphtong like in THERE, WHERE or just ''e'' when there's m or n (nasal sound) hand , man, land, fan, etc[ hend, men, lend, fen, ]
(we can negate these 2) I'm NOT going to .../I'm NOT gonna.../(how 'bout these 2? no negating?) I'mma.../ I gon' ....
Great video , Kevin!! Just one question: shouldn’t we say: lying (rather than “laying) in the snow? Lay is a transitive verb and it needs to be followed by a direct object.
ua-cam.com/video/tm-I-4gd_9A/v-deo.html
👍
49:50 *what* is this called". What do you call this? Do you know what it's called?
Can 'tell' be used without a direct personal object?
It's hard to tell or it's hard to say?
In russian we say "on the snow" Ariannita probably has a slavic background to make this mistakes. Anyway it is so cool to find this chanell with real english!
Ariannita La Gringa has slavic roots?!!😂😂
@@valera924😂 and also she speaks Spanish in the video
@@als2438 exactly🤣
Kevin😅😂👍
Yes. It's a mistake. They're lying in the snow.
Hello Kevin! I wanna ask something that is important for me to understand what I'm trynna ask is EVERY TIME IS A CONJUNCTION of time ? or not )
The difference btwn HOME & HOUSE
A home is a house. But not any house is a home.
I'm going to go(no any preposition here?) Stand/Get/Wait in line.
ua-cam.com/video/9is2hfjZJAA/v-deo.html
what does ''to me/ for me'' means''?? and why sometimes sentences begin with ''To me''
What does "to me/for me" MEAN ?.
(with no "s" in the main verb 'cause you're making a direct question and using a helping verb ).
The expression "to me" shows opinion, that's why you can express it at the beginning.
But I think you can express it at the end too, I think it wouldn't affect at all because it'd convey the same idea.
"For me" conveys the idea of favoring, I mean, it gives the idea of benefiting someone.
I'm not so sure but I think you can also say:
- What DO "to me" AND "for me" mean ?.
Yes, I see sometimes some non-count nouns are EVEN so-called countable nouns, (lunch~a good lunch, freakfast~a good breakfast, time~ a good time) but what about ''is there a time ''?? song by M. J. and the world can be used ''A world'' why A?
Musicians tend to sound cool (not normal). If they were normal (or sound normal) nobody would care about them or their music.
@@ThisMomentIsWorthWatching but it doesn't depend on it
@@vladimirbaloyan440 so, why do you ask if know the answer. Btw, I referred to your context for a better comprehension (I hope it wasn't a waste of time).
@@ThisMomentIsWorthWatching 'cuz there're many songs with the right grammar and are loved and cared by people,, I think it's just because of rythm, People love Rock music, songs but they don't even care what they say 'cuz they can't listen to them, that's what I mean, Thanks btw
@@vladimirbaloyan440 You're wrong. Watch/listen to "Letter to Takeoff" by Gucci Mane. Gucci said what you've written slowly.
I bet Ariannita is learning English from these Videos 😂
😂😂😂
Wheres that arianita girl from? She doesnt sound native in Spanish.
What was that 😂😂😂😂
How can she teach with this level of knowledge 😂😂
Is it really that she is a NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKER?
Are they laying in the snow? OR Are they lying in the snow?
ua-cam.com/video/tm-I-4gd_9A/v-deo.html
Got it . Thanks.
"Carry snow and ice inside the car", another bad mistake. I was just listening to the audio and was confused about what she meant until I replayed and watched the visual. She really shouldn't claim to be a native speaker. No native speaker would ever say that. I wonder how long she's lived in the US. She probably has US citizenship but that doesn't make her a native speaker.
I agree with that.
- Having a USA citizenship doesn't make you a native English speaker, that's to say someone who was born in the USA and never has learned another foreign language.
The contents you make and release are fantastic, but Mr Kevin looks somehow boring.
laying in the snow? Are you sure this is correct to say? (Not)
Yes, you lay in the snow, not on it (which would suggest you’re on top of it… if it was solid like ice or something)
Ariannita is not a native speaker
Omg, is she aware of what she is saying ...her speech is so full of mistakes, she needs to take English classes.
Hmm maybe she does take English lessons ...🤔And ... earns a lot of money while she pretends beeing a native 😂😂
