- A fun afternoon flying the Cub at a big indoor venue, plenty of free flight rubber-powered models and the maiden of the Pink Slow-Fly Spitfire, yes it was exciting. To Skip straight to the Spitfire shananigons jump to 7:06, cheers.

The Spitfire's been a fun journey that's not over yet! Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe for more fun flying and building videos, cheers 👍
The Lavender Bird - Quite Lovely!
Thanks 👍
The J-3 looked great tooling around, and the Spitfire looked great...albeit a bit fast. At least it seems fast for indoors. So nice to see Sal enjoying herself...her plane flew great!
Totally agree Adam, it was good that she actually flew but it'll be better to do some fine tuning out of doors, yes we both enjoyed ourselves as usual 👍🙂
Thanks Cliff, I really enjoy your indoor flights. I’d love to see the spit flying outdoors on a warm, still summers evening. Cheers Rich.👍
Great idea Rich, I love the picture you painted 👍🙂
I’m guessing you mean the Spitfire at sunset, because you don’t know I actually paint on canvas. Perhaps you’re psychic? Lol@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes
Perhaps I am 😁👍
Well done Cliff, a little more work needed but that's the fun. Your wife has got that Hanger Rat flying really well.
Absolutely, fun all round 👍
Very fun to watch Cliff, The spitfire for sure is a fun plane to watch, Enjoyed watching,
Glad you enjoyed it Tughill, she's nearly fixed and will be better for it 🙂👍
cliff that was a great maiden and it looked great in the air well dun cliff
Thanks Tunny, for an experimental design at least she got airborne 🙂👍
Hey, that went pretty good! Faster than I was expecting, too.
I know, me too Daren, but I'll tame her 😁👍
Top o biggles cracking flights so nice to see
Glad you enjoyed it Barry, chocks away 😁👍
Good stuff , I must say , those wing came out real nice .
Thanks DM, the wings supported the weight of the fuselage that's the main thing 😁👍
CHEERs Mate I really enjoy this. All your aircraft are AWESOME!
Thanks a lot Ronald 🙂👍
Great indoor flying session for all the planes. The spitfire sounded great, the wing vibration made her sound bigger than she was. Hard landing was because you put me in the seat 😂. Great video of fun flying planes. 🫡
Glad you enjoyed it Chris, wish I put Nick in there as well, he'd have kept you in check 😁👍
What a wonderful flight Cliff. You certainly know how to build ‘em!👏👏👏👏👏👏🇦🇺🦘
Thanks Noel 🙂👍
The camera man/woman did an excellent job of managing to avoid getting the spitfire in frame! 🙂
Filming the flight myself as I fly is tricky 🤔
45 seconds not too bad!!! I hope I could build a rat like Sal's! And yes, this hobby is a high adrenalin one isn't it! Great to see the experiments actually working!
Hi Andrew, she's had better times but the rubber motors are starting to degrade ... adrenaline's good ... I think 🤔👍
Well done on the maiden Cliff!
Cheers Caroline 🙂👍
Very brave maidening the Spit indoors! Now I understand your comment 4 circuits and broke U/c. I assumed around the pole!
Easy assumption to make Bob, I think with the speed she flies a round the pole session would work well 😁👍
Definitely successful a maiden 🎉
Thanks Mike, it did stretch me if I'm honest 😁👍
Nice maiden overall, That's exactly how I crashed my very first time flying, I let the plane get over my head and I lost all since of direction and went into the tree's 😂 I was smart enough to chop the throttle and stall it a bit right before hitting the trees so it only got a few dings and scratches, nothing a little hot glue couldn't fix, 😁 Love the Spitfire Cliff, nice Job, 👍🏻✌🏻
Thanks Eric, it's an easy fix 🙂👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes That's good to hear, 👍🏻
Hardly any damage Cliff, that'll be fixed in a jiffy. It does look a superb build!
Thanks George, working on her now filming it of course, cheers 👍
Cliff that was great it worked.
Looks superb in the air.
I personally think that model would do better in outside environment on a calm day.
More space so more time for steady turns.
But absolutely fantastic i liked that.
Thanks BN, I think I have to agree with you, maybe once it's sorted a little more I can return to the indoor arena 🙂👍
Very well done. Excellent.!!
Many thanks Bishop 👍
Bloody brilliant mate you made it work well done.
Thanks Mark, I think it needs a little fine tuning 😁👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes that's all part of the fun.
Not a bad maiden flight Cliff, the Spitfire looked great in the air!! You will soon have it flying perfect, nice flying session 😀👍
Thanks Ian, as you say I'll get her in check I'm working on her right now in fact, cheers 😁👍
Yes I'm sure the next time you fly her she'll be perfect 😀👍
very nice mate!
Thanks Jes 🙂
Great Maiden Flight. Looks fantastic (as all Spitfires do). Seems a tad fast in the hangar.
Yep, it was a tad fast Guy 😁👍
Looks good flying and it is fast not very slow
I'd call it a fast slow flyer Paul 😯👍
LOL. I just love it. Like to know how it would do outside
Really nice afternoons flying, you Spitfire flew lovely, cheers Darren.
As did your Spitty Darren, cheers 👍
Love the Cub, but even that big hall calls for LOW LOW wing loading. There's supposed to be a big indoor site about 10 miles from here, but I haven't found it.
Thanks Dan, 10 miles from where perhaps I could do some digging?
Have I jumped ahead in time to March already? :)
Not 100% successful but 99% is excellent. The Spit flies, at least, and may be better outside in very, very light wind. Certainly deserves a pat on the back. Loved the 3 gram model.
You're very lucky to have access to such a venue. The village hall we use is barely big enough for a badminton court and much lower and limits flying to experts with small aerobats, or flyers like me with a Vapor or small helicopter.
Time Marches on! Yes we're lucky to have such a venue but in fact it's a 180 mile roundtrip for us but so worth it. I'm quite pleased with the Spitfire but I'm going to see if I can get her flying a little better, cheers 🙂
thumb up bruv!
Thanks again Collin 👍🙂
What a great facility you have there. What is it used for when not flying? Love the spitfire and those wings are crazy out of the box!
Hi Angus, thanks, it's used by the Cornish Birds of Prey Centre for excising their birds I'm told 🙂👍
Lets hope you can do something about that vibration on the spitfire, it sounds so angry.
The sound certainly stopped the others in their tracks 😁 I think the only way to really sort it though is to fix the wings and fit ailerons 🤔
Is that venue a hockey practice rink? The floor looks like ice and everyone has heavy coats and jackets on.
It would make a good ice rink Jon 👍, but no it's a concrete floor, the building is used to fly injured birds of prey 🙂
March 2024? I'm seeing into the future. Its currently 19th February 2024 for me!
On right, it's finally clicked 😁👍
Cliff the Spitfire did fly but maybe need to remove "Slow-Fly" from the name. It did fly and looks great. Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff, I think when I fly her out of doors she'll be a slow flyer 🤔😁👍
You going to make the plans for it available
I think it might be possible Paul but probably with fixed Wings with ailerons 🤔👍
Just let me know when
@@Yogenh I sure will, cheers 👍
