Back then it would've been the T30, Great tank for it's tier, loved it myself. The T30 was removed from the game & replaced with the T28 if I remember correctly, because it was OP for its tier.
Same here. When I played regularily, I only played the T-28. It helped me alot learning about the game. Plus I got a lot of ace tankers in it which is really motivating to continue playing. And it used to be even better. Was nerfed like 1 - 2 years ago.
The T-28 was one of my favorite tanks for a long time (until I got several tier Xs). The gun is fantastic, and the tank itself can move like a cut weasel despite it's looking like a school bus. I had a 3-4 skill crew in it, and had great fun. I endorse your recommendation.
Till I stopped playing it was my favorite tank in the game that could dominate easily and I only had a 2 skilled crew as I tried not to play it too much as it did feel "dirty" even though I'm far from a unicom player myself - I felt like a unicom tearing poor little muppets apart with it. I played it like a TD at range to start the game and a LT late game to run around and mop up. Even the higher tier tanks I couldn't pen I'd just pump rounds into their tracks if caught in the open and rack up some nice assist damage.

Hey lemming! If you want another OP tier 4 from the tech tree, there is the Italian P40. It has 175 dmg and 75 HE pen, decent mobility and armor. The DPM with HE is close to some tier 6 85mm guns.
Back in the old days when you could 'fail plattoon', I ended up in a tier 8 battle. I managed to kill two tier 8 vehicles with this beast. I remember getting one of the rarer medals for the effort. I was quite chuffed as I had copped a bit of in-game chat for stuffing the team's chances. I was certainly smug at the end of the game, even if it was good luck rather than good management! It is definitely one of my favourite tier 4 tanks.
The T28E F30 is even more broken, IMO. 160 alpha every 5.-something seconds. 280 on the HE round with 43 pen. Armor that can bounce lower tiers and not get penned by HE. But it needs to be played more like a TD because of the mobility and gun handling.
I remember grinding up the line back when the F-30 gun was normally on the T-28.Boy,was it broken as fuck! On the other hand,you didn't get much use out of the HE because many paper armored tanks that we see today in game weren't yet implemented.

I have had a few games where I decimated tier 6 tanks. I tried many different equipment set ups and have settled on Cammo net & Bino's and fan. Here is a fact, the same gun is on the T-34 but for some reason it does not work as good.
I recently started going up the Polish Tech Tree and you know, having 40k Games, a camo net and binocs and having the money to train 75% off the bat i thought " man, ill feast on the seals", but to my shock, i found 20-30k games players (and i also found a guy with 97k games that barely played tier 10 ) that only stayed at tier 4 and 5... i mean.. what the hell? There are so many people that play only low mid tiers that never make it passed tier 7 or 8... what the hell is up with that? and quite a few of these players dont even have the excuse of not having a premium tank so grinding for credits.. i found a guy with almost 40k battles, a single tier 9 with less than 10 battles on hit, over 10 premium tanks from tier 4 to tier 8, but had 3k+ on tiers 3 , 4 and 5s...
I can recommend the Cruiser II with the derp gun. My tactics: trade or oneshot. This tank can trade well because if you pen you can make 390 av. Dmg. Even if you dont pen you make ~130. Downsides: mobility bad, armor is bad but you can bounce machineguns when angling. Also extreme bad gunhandling.
I remember when I was first starting off with this game, everyone hated this thing saying it was one of the worst tanks tier for tier. I adored it! Went up the line for the KV1 and finally unlocked it. Holy **** I hated that thing, sold it, went down the American medium tank line, and never looked back, lol. I really should rebuy the KV1...

Its big and paper, but it has good gun and awesome power to weight(29.27, comparable to CDC) that allow you change positions quickly. Lots of people hates T28 but i really enjoyed playing it. As you said, DPM on ZiS gun is really high for this tier. Its still very good gun for T-34 on tier 5(even higher dps). Its best gun for tier 6 MT-25 too, but thats where this gun getting obsolete and lots of gold is needed(Even then 160pen compared to tier 4 T28's 189...WG logic).
The T-28 used to run an 85mm but that was too OP so WG removed it. Then WG put it back as a tier 4 premium. Also just saying the SU-100M1 is a tier 7 TD with the same armour as the Jagdtiger but it's 2 tiers lower and it goes 16 kph faster.
In Blitz WG removed the T-28 from the tech tree leaving the A-20. If you had the T-28 you kept it but with the Tier IV 76 mm F-2 gun and ammo. But they goofed on the A-20. The 76 mm L-11 gun has a HEAT round that gets 95 mm pen and 105 dam. But the HE round also has 95 mm pen and 205 dam. Oops! That's a seal clubber.

yes, I use my best crew & food too. was using the equipment same set up as the T-28 (cammo net & Bino's) but I had to use the aim as it was taking to long to aim and I was missing opportunity's. Killed some Absolutions though. :)
I remember when the T28 came out. It wasn't a good tank. However I did pretty good in it because I played it like LR did here. Put binocs on it and used it as a sniper instead of a front line tank. It doesn't take a whole lot to kill it and in the early days you could have much more arty in a battle. Arty were gods back then. It would ruin a T28s day trying to move forward in it. If I were to play it again I would do as LR has done. Binocs and snipe.
I always rejoice when I see a T28 and an M3 Lee for that matter. The T28 is as long as the Titanic and shooting HE from a Hetzer is just a joy to watch them disappear in one shot

I keep my t-28 with 4 skills in garage,and every time when there is some event which you can do in tier 4,I finish that with t-28,because its easy and you can do that in 2-3 games. I finish referral program on new account alone in 2 days with T-28(every game was some medal) That tank is broken as hell,but new players very easy and fast get him,and after few games unlock KV-1 and keep moving,dont play him.
I'm wondering Lemmingrush. You should know that the last killshot is mostly not possible if you have several hits in a row. RNG said try it again and again and again and THEN you got it. The T-28 is not really a Seal Clubber Tank. More the T-28-F30 as he has the KV1 gun.
This is the second vid of yours ive seen where you comment on the high number of games played by people typically in tier 5 games. Can you elaborate on this? It seems counterintuitive. I would think at higher tiers people will have had more games. You also say how they are not very skilled players and have "bad habits". I don't understand the connection. I don't have much time to play wot, have under 1k games. Will I be missing out if I keep playing tier V? I feel like if I advance too fast my crew won't ever level. I still don't even have my first perks. But I also don't want to practice their "habits".

I don't understand that statement about players who have 10k games and did not progress to higher tiers. I'm returning player and I have 2k games and t8 tanks. Did something change?
On the Asian/ANZ servers we have such low player population that the game puts Bots into tier 1 to 5 matches to make up numbers. So when we have seal clubbers with powerful tanks and really good crew/equipment setups playing low tiers they are actually Bot clubbing which I think is kind of pathetic. In addition it makes it pretty hard for people grinding a new line who are starting out with poor crews.
I have them both. They offer very different play-styles. I enjoy F30 more tho both are OP. Its mass is about 80% higher than the regular T-28 but its mobile enough anyway and the DPM is much lower in F30 but it have time maneuver between shots and F30 armor will usually withstand HE (like 105mm Hetzers) and ramming. Normal T-28 is much more fragile. The 85mm HE shot is also powerful.
Can you do videos on the tanks that we got for credits in black market? it would be pretty nice to see how you play them (C.AX, m41 blackdog, and t34b)
I'm grinding a t28 tier 4 now. I'm used to the t-6 armor. Great gun but I'm getting blown up more often. maybe playing this tank too aggressively. Thanks great video.
The turret is the "weak" spot, but is nowhere autopen, it have a trollish shape frontally so expect to bounce some ap shots the longest the distance the more misses.
the last time I played the T28 had to of been around 2014 the first russian line I went up was the heavy line, back then it was the T28-kv1-kv1s-IS-IS3-IS8-IS7... and the T28 was a huge dissapointment to me because I had less than 1000 games and didnt know what I was doing lol. Maybe I'll try it again
The american or chinese? Really miss the T82. Corrently love playing the Luchs because of it's awesome viewrange to spot longrange and scary close range magazine + mobility combo.
Not played it for years. Don't have too many tier 4's besides prems. Luchs is the only normal one I have. But I have the T28 F30. Basically 488m with binocs and a KV-1 gun. Tho less DPM, but 160 alpha. So he has no issues vs the stock KV-1 turret on the KV-220. And FYI... blocked maps don't work on tier 4 and down iirc.
I still remember the ye olde days of this having the 85mm. Old WOT was a lawless wasteland. KV at tier 5 with the 152, kv-1s just being a little IS. M5 stuart had the turret and stubby 75mm from the M8. Shit was wild.
T-28 was one of my first tanks above tier III. I absolutely hated it xd It was like 6-7 years ago. Now I see the folly of my ways! I suppose I will have to make things right with this tank *evil grin*
Lol so did I. I didnt use the 57mm and the 76mm was shit. But I didnt want to spend credits on a next gun with ammo, so I grinded that KV-1 with the wrong gun so the tank was as bad as tier III T-29 reward tank at tier IV.

The T28 is by no means overpowered. The Pz. IIIJ is easily a better tier 4 medium. Unlike the T28, it has armor AND it's faster. It's also better at the vision game with way better concealment and almost the same view range. It also has way better bore depression. As a matter of fact, the only real advantage the T28 has over the IIIJ is APCR penetration. Now, if you're talking about the T28E, that's a different story. With HE its gun can almost one shot a regular T28.
Most of these tanks, even the overpowered ones often have something out there that is their kryptonite. Head to head, I'd prefer to be in a pzIIIj or a luchs vs a t28. With that said, if I'm spending half of my day playing in tier 6 games shooting at heavy tanks I'll take the t28 and its gold pen and rape those heavies all day long. In the hands of a superior player who understands how to maintain distance and change positions, the t28 can own tier 6 games. An OI player need not give a shit about a pzIIIj. He or she should be scared as shit by the right player in a t28.
@@shadaxe tell that to the tier 6 OI that I killed in a IIIJ. I caught him out in the open on Sand River, and it was just him and me. I circled him and every time his side came up, I put a shot in. By myself, I took him from full health to dead without ever taking a shot in return. I doubt I could've done that in a T28 because it's top speed is too low and the IO would've one shot me.
that tank reminds me of the old panther 1..... a fast firing 75mm L100.... that gives a fuck less about armor (and is also damn accurate)....... but the tank is a sponge sure, ive bounced a few rounds...... but i dont expect to (unless they are silly, and shoot for the front plate AND i happen to have it angled) i vividly remember a game with my buddy..... forget what he was driving (and he isnt very good at WOT... but is good at listening) was him and me VS like 6 tanks..... we ended up winning...... i snipped when i could snipe..... and just face hugged and out DPMed when it came down to it he died..... an i killed the last two while being a one shot idk man..... the panther 1 ( and to a lesser extent, the panther 2 and E50) are some of my favorite tanks that 75mm L100 can be a bully gotta love shooting people for 110, and they go "its only 110" and then ya pump 1 or 2 more shots into them before they even know whats going on..... "its only 110 damage"..... 440 damage in 5 seconds later..... PANTHER OP!!!!
You're doing the typical error with the KV-220 shooting it in the hull *facepalm* just shoot it in the turret and forget the hull exists, it's a stock KV-1 turret on a KV-3 hull :P

Luchs is quite OP as well, decent AP pen and 300 potential DMG per clip combined with high mobility.
And view range is just laughable. My Luchs has 502m and it's not even maxed out.

I like the Marder 38t better. Similar in that it is a high dpm gun but better concealment and smaller size make it work better imho.

Finally someone review low tier! I keep my t-28 with 4 skills in garage,and every time when there is some event which you can do in tier 4,I finish that with t-28,because its easy and you can do that in 2-3 games. I finish referral program on new account alone in 2 days with T-28(every game was some medal) That tank is broken as hell,but new players very easy and fast get him,and after few games unlock KV-1 and keep moving,dont play him.
I'm wondering Lemmingrush. You should know that the last killshot is mostly not possible if you have several hits in a row. RNG said try it again and again and again and THEN you got it.
The T-28 is not really a Seal Clubber Tank. More the T-28-F30 as he has the KV1 gun.
T-28-F30 aka F-Dirty is a great clubber as well as P26/40 firing HE.

This is the second vid of yours ive seen where you comment on the high number of games played by people typically in tier 5 games. Can you elaborate on this? It seems counterintuitive. I would think at higher tiers people will have had more games. You also say how they are not very skilled players and have "bad habits". I don't understand the connection. I don't have much time to play wot, have under 1k games. Will I be missing out if I keep playing tier V? I feel like if I advance too fast my crew won't ever level. I still don't even have my first perks. But I also don't want to practice their "habits".

Its funny how different the tree T-28 57mm and premium T-28 85mm stats are, and at the same time how OP both tanks are.

I don't understand that statement about players who have 10k games and did not progress to higher tiers. I'm returning player and I have 2k games and t8 tanks. Did something change?
On the Asian/ANZ servers we have such low player population that the game puts Bots into tier 1 to 5 matches to make up numbers. So when we have seal clubbers with powerful tanks and really good crew/equipment setups playing low tiers they are actually Bot clubbing which I think is kind of pathetic. In addition it makes it pretty hard for people grinding a new line who are starting out with poor crews.
T-28 or T28 F30
Which is better?
F30 is basically a turreted TD.
I have them both. They offer very different play-styles. I enjoy F30 more tho both are OP. Its mass is about 80% higher than the regular T-28 but its mobile enough anyway and the DPM is much lower in F30 but it have time maneuver between shots and F30 armor will usually withstand HE (like 105mm Hetzers) and ramming. Normal T-28 is much more fragile. The 85mm HE shot is also powerful.
T-28 could be stronger than the T-34 tier for tier however I really like the gun dep, dpm general handling and a bit of armor you get on the T-34
Can you do videos on the tanks that we got for credits in black market? it would be pretty nice to see how you play them (C.AX, m41 blackdog, and t34b)

where to shoot the KV 220? In the turret every time will pen with standard AP
The turret is the "weak" spot, but is nowhere autopen, it have a trollish shape frontally so expect to bounce some ap shots the longest the distance the more misses.

the last time I played the T28 had to of been around 2014 the first russian line I went up was the heavy line, back then it was the T28-kv1-kv1s-IS-IS3-IS8-IS7... and the T28 was a huge dissapointment to me because I had less than 1000 games and didnt know what I was doing lol. Maybe I'll try it again

The american or chinese? Really miss the T82. Corrently love playing the Luchs because of it's awesome viewrange to spot longrange and scary close range magazine + mobility combo.

I'm orange colored on XVM and I got Ace tanker on T-28 in less than 80 battles. Yeah it's like cheating without actually cheating

Not played it for years. Don't have too many tier 4's besides prems. Luchs is the only normal one I have. But I have the T28 F30. Basically 488m with binocs and a KV-1 gun. Tho less DPM, but 160 alpha. So he has no issues vs the stock KV-1 turret on the KV-220. And FYI... blocked maps don't work on tier 4 and down iirc.
I've got a T-28E F30 - doesn't have the DPM of the ZIS (only around 2k fully pimped out) but the alpha is crippling - especially with HE

Basically, use ridgelines, don't trust your turret armour.
I still remember the ye olde days of this having the 85mm. Old WOT was a lawless wasteland. KV at tier 5 with the 152, kv-1s just being a little IS. M5 stuart had the turret and stubby 75mm from the M8. Shit was wild.
This thing used to have the 85mm gun and I just spam HE on it and it works.
T-28 was one of my first tanks above tier III. I absolutely hated it xd It was like 6-7 years ago. Now I see the folly of my ways! I suppose I will have to make things right with this tank *evil grin*
Lol so did I. I didnt use the 57mm and the 76mm was shit. But I didnt want to spend credits on a next gun with ammo, so I grinded that KV-1 with the wrong gun so the tank was as bad as tier III T-29 reward tank at tier IV.

the kv 220s turret is made out of cheese, so why are you shooting at the kv3 hull?^^ but hey, if it`s stupid but it works....^^
The T28 is by no means overpowered. The Pz. IIIJ is easily a better tier 4 medium. Unlike the T28, it has armor AND it's faster. It's also better at the vision game with way better concealment and almost the same view range. It also has way better bore depression. As a matter of fact, the only real advantage the T28 has over the IIIJ is APCR penetration.
Now, if you're talking about the T28E, that's a different story. With HE its gun can almost one shot a regular T28.
Most of these tanks, even the overpowered ones often have something out there that is their kryptonite. Head to head, I'd prefer to be in a pzIIIj or a luchs vs a t28. With that said, if I'm spending half of my day playing in tier 6 games shooting at heavy tanks I'll take the t28 and its gold pen and rape those heavies all day long. In the hands of a superior player who understands how to maintain distance and change positions, the t28 can own tier 6 games. An OI player need not give a shit about a pzIIIj. He or she should be scared as shit by the right player in a t28.
@@shadaxe tell that to the tier 6 OI that I killed in a IIIJ. I caught him out in the open on Sand River, and it was just him and me. I circled him and every time his side came up, I put a shot in. By myself, I took him from full health to dead without ever taking a shot in return. I doubt I could've done that in a T28 because it's top speed is too low and the IO would've one shot me.

a fast firing 75mm L100.... that gives a fuck less about armor (and is also damn accurate)....... but the tank is a sponge
sure, ive bounced a few rounds...... but i dont expect to (unless they are silly, and shoot for the front plate AND i happen to have it angled)

You're doing the typical error with the KV-220 shooting it in the hull *facepalm* just shoot it in the turret and forget the hull exists, it's a stock KV-1 turret on a KV-3 hull :P
