- Today’s guest is the proud prankster and stand up comedian, Lewis Spears. Lewis has featured in Funny Uber Rides a few times. I asked him to be a guest on the podCARst today because the way that he goes about promoting his online content and stand up comedy is very different to most people. I figured that it would be interesting to explore the mindset of someone online who is not afraid of being polarising to various audiences but with the primary intent to make people laugh.
I believe comedy is a misunderstood craft. It dates all the way back to medieval times where jesters would perform for royals and the wealthy and if they weren’t considered funny, there were severe repercussions - even death! Lewis and I explore this deeply and as bizarre as it may sound, he explains why it may even be in int he best interests for some stand up comedians to get cancelled online.

I think you’re doing very well.
I watch podcasts everyday for like a year now and I’ll say that this is kind of different from the mainstream ones. But that difference imo is definitely an improvement. It is extremely candid from both sides and as with the first two episodes it’s with people who we know but not as a celebrity and hence their particular experiences and insights are just wonderful. Specially for the younger generation.
Hope this works out and you can continue doing this along with funny Uber rides. Love ❤️

This reminds me of that episode from Black Mirror, where bees kill the most hated person on Twitter, on daily basis. So whoever used the #name of the victim was able to take someone down. At the end of the episode, the bees killed everyone who participated in the game. Morale of the story, shit is gonna backfire you guys, they'll end up cancelling themselves at some point, because there will always be someone who doesn't like something about you, and you'll always find something you won't like about everyone. Grow up and accept it.
Watching this now, after what happened with Joe Rogan, he shouldn't apologized. What he was saying was taken out of context and they tried to kill him for it.
Great video/audio. Next improvement for the podcarst: Better microphone! Would improve the quality drasticlly.
