learning 'hard' sell "mind control" techniques is useful for spotting them.
this is why some countries have 14 day reverse/return on 'door to door' sales of crap. that kind of crap is also why door to door sales of vacuum cleaners in the west is profitable, you sell them a vacuum cleaner they want it or not and you just go through enough people to find someone who is 'weak' and wear them down once you get inside to show the vacuum cleaner. timeshares are done same way that's why you get a "free" presentation and dinner.
they call it sales skills, but it's basically confidence trick conartist tricks, it doesn't matter what the product is, be it a flat, be it an amway 'business', be it a new roof that you don't need and so forth. if the product is such that customers need, want, would be actually sensible for them to buy and can afford it then you don't really need this kind of sales techniques.
some of the more advanced scams in the west will have them even pressure the victims to raise their credit card limits _while_ at the "free" sales course(they have the victim call the cc company with a script).
The worst part is the educated people are getting fooled🤡
