My coach uses your videos to teach us a lot and he got really mad at me and one of my teammates for constantly using a cross body ride so instead of telling us to never use legs he decided to show us short legs instead. He uses your videos for it, however on this move to prevent an easy counter he suggests going up on your palm instead of your elbow and I was wondering why you go to the elbow instead. Is there a specific reason you don’t go up and extend your arm or is there no reason at all?(I just use this to get to a guillotine but it’d still be nice to know)
As long as your boots are crossed they can't turn in. we have never had issues with going to elbow. We like elbow first to get all back points then if you wanted to slide over the top for the pin you can do that after the points are counted. Thanks for the comment and tell your coach hello. NICK
