@@onedepressedgamerm6525 That. Or she just made her sixteenth level by passing through the portal, rest is just Wildshaping into fire elemental for the first time :D
I love this so much. So glad to see Keyleith being an awesome character with this great solo moment. Marisha and Matt did a great job giving her moments of showing how great a character, but true solo moments like this are hard to do in a cooperative game without taking time away from other players
I feel the trick is to do what Matt does, and effectively warn players ahead of time through story that someone is getting a "moment", so that everyone can ensure they don't get in the way
They have to do this stuff because it’s a tv show and people want them all to have their epic moments and it’s good for them to make the characters really stand out. You wouldn’t do this stuff as a DM in a dnd game with several players unless they’re all friends trying to do this exact kinda game. Critical Role is not standard, it’s entertainment.
Although the creatures she killed with fire were from the fire plane and should be immune to fire and so it goes against some rules, I find it extra powerful story wise that she did that its like she used The True Flame of her new form and it just goes to show how powerful her fire is.
@@toamszkozak8822I mean it looks like she used her air magic as well mixed with fire and that she is insanely powerful to kill them since her flame turned blue.
Considering that they already had to alter so many monsters and races to make it system ambiguous and free from legal issues, I am comfortable with any rewrite saying that these monsters can be harmed by fire
I'd put it as mechanically, I'm pretty sure I could put out a campfire with a blast from a flamethrower. Make one hell of a mess. Point is Keyleth's power over fire is so much greater that she basically undoes their corporeal forms. It'd be different against, for example, Thordak. He too is immune to fire. No form to disperse like an elemental would have.
I love this scene. it's beautifully animated, the music is amazing and omg, the feels. It's when Keyleth finally learns to trust herself, and her confidence in her own abilities grows. Then there's Vax, who, regardless of his own struggles with the Deathwalkers Ward and his fear, doesn't stop fighting to get to Keyleth to make sure she isn't hurt. The relieved smile he gives her when she reappears are just precious. Vax looks so proud of her when she passes the fire trial. We need more of these moments, especially when Korrin gave his approval.
*Scanlan being a pervert* "He can't keep getting away with it!" *Keyleth getting the triumphant moment set to gorgeous music* "She can't keep getting away with it!" Jokes aside, Keyleth just gets the coolest moments.
Major Vaxleth moment: Keyleth's return from The Fire Plane was _the first_ time Vax _smiled_ since they escaped from The Sunken Tomb.
If anyone could do it, it's her
As a elderly DM and long time druid player, this definitely gets my seal of approval as "How to druid, epic style."

The Best Music score in whole Vox Machina series
Between this and Turning Tides/Blinded by the Light, Keyleth definitely has the best music across both soundtracks so far.
This shit went fucking hard
The Music is pure fire. pun intended
She completed all the elements

@@malachiblood13 And what’s funny is that the VA who voices her mom is Korra herself.
Not yet, she still has to master earth and water and that's happening in seasons 3 and 4.

@deathbykonami5487 She kinda has Earth capabilities, she just needs some practice and still needs to work with water.

I think they did that on purpose showing that Keyleth is so powerfull that she hurts creatures made of fire by using fire
She actually says flee when she turns also so less killing em and more making them disperse

One problem I have with this.
Those monsters she kills with fire.
Anything native to the Plane of Fire, is definitely immune to fire.
I like it, it makes this scene feel even more powerful. Her fire was so hot/true that it burned FIRE IMMUNE creatures into ashes
She says "Flee" - they are fire creatures and she is snuffing their flame.
That's how I choose to see it at least.
I thought she added air to the mix with her flame as it turned blue and it shows that’s her flame is insanely powerful.
When the show makes keyleth a lot cooler than Marisha ever could.
Love this song
