What's interesting to me is that Groon doesn't acknowledge that when Grog says it. He doesn't even blink. He treats it the same way he treated everything else that Grog said to him the first time: as a lie. He knows that Grog is strong, even though he feels weak, because Groon's strength and physical strength are not the same.
This was truly the best moment in the series: Well acted, scripted, and drawn; capturing the despair and terror for both Pike and Grog, with satisfying character development and resolution.
When TLoVM first came out, I wasn't keen on some of the changes. But after consideration, I like all the changes they've made. They still hit all the pivotal points in the story, but they have abbreviated into a better flow. I can't wait for season 3.
I would love to make a show like this someday. Such powerful voice acting, beautiful animation and design, amazing music, it all hits just straight to the heart and is truly amazing!

to be fair, part of it is because in dnd, you roll stats, and Travis had a very low roll. a Barbarian in dnd doesn't need intelligence, so it was his dump Stat. as well, in the streams, there are moments that work with that sort of thing, such as grog learning how to read, so on and so forth.
