Dang you sailin men are total legends; i thought that rig was on the bottom for sure. What an adventure! Respect.
Respect ✊ haha it’s wild still thinking about it now
Been watching the SS Timber Queen series, and I will be honest... I got a little foggy eyed on this one! The effort, the hard work, the brotherhood, the drama of the launch, and ultimately the maiden voyage... just incredible! Good on you guys!
@@shadonthefly thanks man! It sure did mean a lot to use as well!
Big congrats to Jordan and the Queens crew. We also can't foget the support of their families and friends.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
What an emotional roller coaster. 💪🏻
Haha for sure
This should have millions of views
Haha thanks it was wild beyond expectations
You need to get some oakham to pack the leaks. Its basically unraveled rope. I used it in the navy for leak patching
Ya sounds like a good option
@@DuckGunChroniclesa very traditional option for a very traditional boat!
It's very cool to see you guys in the water after all the efforts you put into this project. Onward to adventure! Enjoy and be safe.
Ya seeing it float was crazy haha and a ton of work 😅
I kept looking everyday for this video!!!! I Can only imagine how many birds you guys will see.
Heck ya! Was off grid for too long! Now gotta get these out
Old trick to seal wood boat before launch, flood the hull on land to get the wood swelling first.
We did run a hose in it the night before but it really wasn’t filling up a lot 😅
I have to say... I was EXTREMELY skeptical. So much so I felt bad for you knowing you would fail, and have that failure public. I am SO pumped to be proven wrong and can't wait to see how the season plays out! Good work!
Haha I was worried about that too but we got er done 💪
Absolutely phenomenal. Great watch 👀
Haha thanks man 💪
I remember when Bob S drove that boat up from New Orleans .
Who is bob s?
That’s awesome Jordan! Planning, focus, and hardwork pay off. Excited for you and your crew!
Haha thanks! More to come!
You need to load up a small mini bike and collapsible style trailer for hauling fuel and supplies. Just an idea.
Haha a good idea for sure
@@DuckGunChronicles 😉 thanks. I might have had a good idea. Thanks Jordan. Save Trip son.👍🏼
Gonna need a few more cases of caulking 😂
@@Pmgraham lol it’s unbelievable 😅
I’m thoroughly impressed with your dedication. Have a great adventure!
Haha thanks! It’s been crazy and the crazy actually continues 😅 stay tuned
Big Congratulations to you guys!!!! It's been a lot fun watching the whole process that led up to this and how you are tackling everything head on.
There are always problems with boats but thatsbwhat a shake down cruise is for. To get those all sorted out with less pressure than when you need it to be 100%.
Looking forward to all the content to come!!!
Heck ya man! It was a wild ride. Now on to season 💪
Congratulations. Good luck, good hunting. I hope you make it back.
Thanks 💪
Finally got to see the maiden voyage!!! Awesome work guys👍🏽
Thanks! It was wild haha
You don’t drive a boat, you Con it 😂
I was thinking to myself, wtf is he doing!!!!? Now I wanna be you
@@ajswails1969 😅 sometimes I think the same thing but I’m glad it all came together
Love the captain hat! lol!!
Haha that was all Hunters idea
Congratulations Boys!! Crazy strong work
Appreciate it!!
Great success requires great risk. And this risk required large cajones. Good for you boys. The old gal leaks a bit but she’s my favourite.
Haha well said!
Helluva journey getting to this point and down the river! Congratulations!
Haha no doubt! Just wait for part 2 it gets pretty crazy again
I thought that harbor looked familiar and the large lake on the river i grew up in Winona lots of great times hunting and fishing the Mississippi can't wait to see some hunt videos
I can neither confirm or deny said boats location 😅
Congrats El Capitan, Hunter and Zach!
Haha heck ya! Thanks
Congratulations to get it where it is now
Thanks!
Brother its crazy you feel bad about lack of footage, but it's in the same Midwesterner vein as when someone bumps into me anywhere and I say "Ope, Sorry." I've talked about your guy's project to almost everyone I hunt with and once I clarify it's a wood hull they lose it. But I'm here for it, keep grinding!
@@primordialatlas haha you’re right 😅. That’s super cool! Thanks for stay tuned it’s gonna get even crazier
@@DuckGunChronicles I’m sure Hunter knows already but careful with some gas stations, their bio-diesel crap gunks up old motors like crazy if you don’t run em like once a month.
In the duck hunt community dont think anybody would worry about that hell would be cool just to see that thing good luck and do it while your young
Heck ya 💪💪
Heck of an adventure!
Man it was crazy
The last minute of the video was like a modern day clip of the movie castaway!
Haha 😂 right! Just needed Wilson
Wow I didn’t think that thing was going to float after the boat launch fiasco. Congrats fellas I can’t wait to see that thing with some ducks piled up on it. -Washington duck hunter
Haha I was right there too! Glad we got it turned around
Love it!
Thanks!!
If you would have posted where you were I bet dozens of us would have drove and helped you out
I got a handful of messages but I didn’t really take anybody up on it. Wasn’t sure I could return the favor to anybody
Yo go, Chief.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Awesome job keeping her going and grinding that out! Could have brought you some diesel and beer in Dubuque 😂
Haha I’m not sure where that was but we did pass some cool places along the river
I don’t think they made that far down , I was looking for familiar spots , would love to put eyes on her myself and also help the boys with a Beer/Pizza/Diesel run , Also get a 5 gallon bucket with toilet seat and fill it 1/4 with water and you now have a shitter on the mothership
this is awesome
Haha thanks!
Also brother get some astro turf for the dogs to wiz on
Ya good idea
Congrats, looks like your epic odyssey will continue! What locks did you go through?
Thanks! That’s for sure. I don’t remember the numbers we went through 5 or so so far
Jordan, you can have fuel delivered to you and fill up that way. Might be worth looking into
Ya might be worth looking into
At least it didn't auto sink after all yaw's hard work. I've got confidence in you guys. Now you've learned somethings.
Looking forward to the second launch.
🤔🤔🤔 Maybe that's why they christen boats and ships with a bottle of alcohol.🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Makes one wonder.🤣
Need a millennium seat on a pedestal for that thing haha
That would be perfect haha
That is a wooden boat for ya it will take a week or two for the wood to swell shut. Chinking the leaks and more caulking. There is also a type of resin putty called gunk it's a two part polyester resin gunk paste. I think All it really is, is magnesium powder mixed with polyester resin to form a super thick paste or gunk, then mixed with organic peroxide to harden up. I would try as you are to stop the water with twine, Chinking and caulking too it the cheaper the better. But what's really cheap anymore. Good lucknhope to see more videos whit the queen on the river
Thanks for the advice. It would be nice to get some of them to stop leaking even more. Seems like a lot is coming from the keel
The bout is looking great though.👍🏼
Dang I missed out on those first few days...
Sorry man but we had some crazy adventures in part 2 as well
Just imagine how many people/followers recognized yaw a the boat.
At 50 minutes looks like u were in winona mn
@@jeffwinger2941 yeah I think we went through there
Nuts
Very much so
When yall first started this project i said u were crazy...cool to see it come together. Will the boat ever stop leaking mostly?
Haha you weren’t wrong we were crazy 😅. It will get a lot better but will probably leak some forever
Jordon what is that small duck boat called?
@@ajswails1969 it’s a hand built boat. The plans are called gator boats duck hunter
Guess I should have been quiet til the end..... maybe.
What made it leak so bad?
Just being a wood boat. The wood shrinks when it’s dry and expands when it’s wet. We tried sealing everything but obviously we didn’t
@@DuckGunChroniclesprobably did seal it. it was just water pressure pushed through the caulk
Them are not cleat hitches….
Where did you start?
Redwing
@@DuckGunChronicles I live right in lacrosse! Just missed you guys coming through.
@DuckGunChronicles I thought some of the area looked familiar. And when Wayne said he serves down to the lacrosse area on the pod cast. I knew you were at that point
@@austinzielke2347 haha we did see some people that knew us along the way
@DuckGunChronicles heck yea! Keep up the work. I've been watching you for the last year. This is my first year duck hunting in my own boat and my own decoys. Learn a lot from the videos and pod cast. Also, if you're ever in the area and need a hand or anything. Just shoot me a message!
If you had caulked it properly you wouldn't have had so much flooding. Its not supposed to be tube caulk. it needs hemp oakum caulk . Also it should be MV(motor vessel) Timber Queen, not SS(sailing ship) unless she's got a folded mast and sails we haven't seen yet.
@@duck_rifle5879 S.S. Single screw 😅 ya thought about caulking it the old way but did. We talked to some marinas that actually said they did the old boats with tube caulk. I think we just didn’t get everything well enough around the keel but I promise we tried haha
@duck_rifle5879 S.S. Stands for Steamship actually.
@@austinhague2967 SS used to stand for Steam Ship but over the last 100 years it has transformed to being accepted at Single Screw indicating it has one prop and one rudder so therefore has larger turn radius and less maneuverability
HOLY COW FUCK 😮😢😢
