I review our brand new 2024 Tesla Model 3 Long Range Rear Wheel Drive (LR RWD). We ordered our new car in stealth grey with black interior and upgraded 19" Nova wheels. I share my experience from the ordering process, pickup day, and first impressions of design changes to the new refreshed model. I test Full Self Driving (FSD 12.5.1), Auto Park, Cabin Noise, 19" Nova Wheels, Ambient Lighting Strip and more.
This is the inspection checklist we used on pickup/delivery day:

It the best value car on the market - I’m a previous BMW m3 owner and this thing drives as well if not better - love it
Drive performance is definitely an underrated value! It’s so much fun to drive it makes running errands feel like less of a chore.
Congrats on your car 🎉🎉 you are going to love it. !!! I should know because I took delivery of my refreshed M3 LR in stealth grey black interior in March. First EV. I absolutely love this car. It is ridiculously fast for what it is , it's comfortable , quiet no squeaks rattles or creaks. I love having no stalks, regenerative braking is awesome. Cooled seats come in clutch in the summers of Phoenix Arizona. I can go on. It literally puts a smile on my face every time I get to drive it.
Enjoy your car sir
I didn’t even mention the cooled seats! So many great upgrades on the refresh. Congrats and thanks for watching!
Congrats man!! Same situation, changed over from a Hyundai Elantra to a M3 Rwd refresh about a month ago… absolutely love it will never go back to ICE. Amazing car and so much fun to drive. Also in Phoenix! As long as you get a tint, no worries about the heat. Funnest car ever to drive easily.
10:33 great timing 😂
Picked up the car this month. My only complaint is that i wish we can turn the regen down even more than what is avaliable. The older models you can turn the regen down a lot. Other than that, amazing car! 1.99% 0 down $8500 total with EV tax and referral.
Congratulations. You will love it and it will be one of the best cars you ever drive 😊
Thanks for the video. Got the same discounts and rate and I agree it was a no brainer for our family. Stealth grey and black interior.
We have two little ones and i was wondering if you know if you can connect two Bluetooth headsets to the rear screen at the same time?
Hi thanks for watching and congrats! Yes you can connect 2 headsets to the rear screen via bluetooth.
I bought the cheapest model available at $35K RWD LR Stealth Grey/Black Seats 18in Wheels delivered on Aug 10th. Now it is $1000 even cheaper with referral code link. The only problem I had was both L and R scroll wheels weren't intermittently responsive. I finally put in a service request and the Tech came out to the house and replaced the steering wheel within 15 minutes. Now the autopilot and skipping music is fixed. I should have called it in sooner cause now my FSD free trial is over. I loved having AutoPark for a month. I miss that the most.
Great to hear a positive service experience! I agree Auto Park is a stand out feature. I wish you could subscribe to it separately from Full Self Driving.
Wow, I thought you were a big time youtuber because the quality on this video is top notch!
Thanks so much! I just started experimenting on UA-cam so that’s very encouraging.
Congrats! Truly the best daily car in the market right now and nothing even comes close to it.
Couldn't agree more! Excited to see Tesla get some real competition in the next few years though.
I forgot to mention I am having small issues with the ambient lights oddly just for blue 🤔 a coworker got one because of me 😂 he is also experiencing the issue. I'm not sure if I'm going to get it fixed only because I can barely notice it as it works fine but the main reason especially with Tesla or anything for that matter I'm afraid if they attempt to fix it they might screw something else that wasn't a problem in the process like misalignment of the door after. I'm 45 but never to old to ask my father for his take.
Thanks for sharing! Hopefully you can get it fixed without causing additional issues that’s a big concern of mine as well.
Is your car a Fremont build?
@@MarkShaw-g6x yes , I live in Phoenix Arizona United States. I believe all of the issues are with the Fremont factory. I really have to look hard to notice it like I said I don't want something to get messed up in the process of them fixing it. I will keep an eye on it if it gets worse then I probably will get it fixed. Other than this I absolutely love this car. No other issues I've had since March. I'm only getting Tesla.
@@MarkShaw-g6x How do you check where it was built? MY VIN starts with 5YJ3**
@@igloozoo3771 if you live in United States than the model 3 are being built in Fremont as only the model y and Cyber truck are being built in Texas. We don't get imports from Shanghai
Great short term review. How long is your charging cable? Is it stock?
Thanks! I do have a 20ft 48v extension on the wall charger. The popular cable by Lectron is always sold out. I found this one on Best Buy and haven’t had any issues. The only note is that you have to unlock the charge port from your phone instead of the button on the end of the cable when you’re done charging.

I ordered one having second thoughts I don’t have a home 😂 I’m thinking of just charging at station
You definitely take a hit on the value of gas savings if you can’t charge at home. But it’s still a great car if you live/work near a supercharger and don’t mind the added expense.
I didn't install charger at home and I still don't have mobile charger, but I do have free charging at work which is only 1 mile away. I think it will be tough owning this car without figuring out your charging situation. Sure if you have a Supercharger nearby, that would be fine, but then you wouldn't save any money driving an EV.
@@igloozoo3771 it’s just fun driving I rented one it more of a toy for me
good review! I'm interested in discussing collaration with you on Model 3 accessories, how do we reach out?

Great video! I have a 2013 Chevy Cruze and can’t wait to get something else. I’m currently saving for the 2024 Model 3 LR AWD. Hopefully my time to switch will be within the next few years when prices come down.
The time to get it is right now! You get 7500 tax credit instantly, tesla will take your Cruz as trade in and you get 1.99 APR. just get one you will not regret it! On top of all that you can add a down payment to make your monthly bill less. The tesla insurance is cheap at 169 a month I’m paying for full coverage. Also you will save on gas and maintenance but I’m telling it. It’s so much fun. Go for the dual motor if you can. At least test drive it.
@@JDB-ru4lp In addition to the $1000 off referral code and I think it is $0 down now.
My 2020 c63 was a total loss because of flood damage. I decided on the 2024 model 3 performance no regrets so far.
Sorry about your c63! Did you consider the Model S at all or were you set on the Model 3 Performance? I’d love to scoop a M3P in the future congrats!
@@avantjohn Thanks, dude. I did consider the Model S, but honestly, for that much money, I need more than just speed, lol. The Model 3 checked all our boxes. We didn’t need anything bigger; my wife has a Jeep, and that’s the perfect size considering we only have one kid. M3 in general is a great car, and congrats on your purchase.
Congratulations! I’m waiting for my RWD with the same configuration. So far how is your driving experience with the 19 inch wheels? How’s does the car feel?
Thanks! I think the updates to the suspension make the ride comfort difference between the 18” & 19” wheels pretty negligible. The biggest downside would be the decrease in efficiency. My daily mileage is pretty low so it’s not an issue but someone with a longer daily commute should definitely take that into consideration.
Thanks John! Also my daily mileage will be low so it won’t be an issue for me
@@degarmo4293 I have the 18in and it feels almost too smooth, but I assume you already test drove it with 18in.
Tech 🤓 turned car people
lmao talking about top speed, and 2 seconds later a car zooms by
You said this car looks good. It looks the same as it did when it was first introduced YEARS ago. The entire line of Tesla cars never changes from year to year. EVER. They’re so tired🤦🏾
Fair opinion but I think the aesthetic changes are pretty notable on the refresh! I love the new headlight design and they also improve aerodynamics increasing efficiency.
