This is true, I have run Dayton in my car before but they are not designed to go against the elements. between the lack of UV protection and generally no moisture protection, you have to be super careful.
@@wickswirescaraudioandfabri7730 As for the improvement in build quality, my hybrid Imagine/Unity gear literally fell apart on the first day. So I had called the dist. who contacted HAT, and HAT suggested a superglue and activator to patch things up, which I thought was utter cr@p given the cost of these things. In the end I gave up, and went back to Sundown/Morel set up, and I'd never use HAT again! Scan, Peerless, CSS, Stereo Integrity, Acoustic elegance, there's too much good stuff, to buy overpriced gear from HAT ... and it is seriously overpriced! As for Dayton, I've seen too many failures of their subs too have ever taken buy one for myself. As for the speakers, I really do think Dayton have some hidden gems, so much so, that I use them in my home audio set up, along with a twin Peerless SLS 6.5 subs in a Transmission Line that I built, originally for a JBL GTO 804 8" sub i had, but the Peerless 6.5's really kick well. All the best
I'm running the Hybrid Audio X1, X3, and X6 front stage and love it ...cant wait for the box build 😍😍
Nice!!! Well I just found out that my 18 is due to land any day now too woohoo 😁😁
Super stoked to watch the build. I'm starting to build custom boxes and I'd love to see a t line build.
Thanks mate 🙂 The plan is for it to be a reasonably simple build with a single fold. Should be very interesting to see what it does 😁

That back plate is nice.
Another car audio brand bites the dust!
Unfortunate but true. The L18 is going into my current car very soon, so that should be fun.
Do you have a follow up video?
Much as I love HAT, just buy scanspeak or even better, Peerless, and save yourself a shed load of money!
