This time we're installing the engine side of our iag fuel system! Starting the mock up of out charge piping and intake. But there's more wiring to do.

What did you have to do wiring wise to throw a obd2 on obd1 did you have to add sensors like what do i have to do to have it run good im getting a 2001 outback as a donor car and imma swap over ecu harness and engine
I removed my entire wiring harness from the car as well as the 05 sti harness and sent them both to iwire, they merged the 2 harnesses together so it will run all the needed obd2 electronics as well as the obd1 car stuff. So the car will functionally be a 05 sti. Unfortunately they no longer support first gen legacy swaps. If I were you I would not use a 01 outback as a doner car, that engine is not worth it. If you want more power you can look into doing a dohc head swap on your ej22, we have tons of videos on how to do it. You could even use an entire ej25d of you wanted. But the ej22 block is better. That swap would require almost no wiring changes.

@@gusbus900 Keep an eye out for 20K cams. Roger Clark makes OE spec 20K STi cams if you have the coin.

Haha yes we acquired a full early ej20g long block for free a few months back! We're going to use it in our upcoming gen 1 legacy rally car project
