This is so awesome. Also, the most random location for a video ha ha. It looks like you are being held captive in a basement and being forced to create awesome instant photography inventions.
Hi there LoFi. I've been looking at this and your 600se model for some time. One concern i have, is access to viewfinder, if i'll be able get my eye up close to the window. Having to look through the viewfinder from an inch away doesnt work well for me. Thoughts? Thanks
Hello- my goal is always three things: Totally non-destructive and reversible, simplicity of install and use, and, having met the prior two parameters, set up for the film plane exactly. Unfortunately this often means an offset to the film, as well as the challenge you described as a distance from the viewfinder. I have found that, despite wearing glasses, I can get used to this. As you mentioned, though, it may not work well for you.
@@lofianddiy yeah i get that, being an avid collector with over 1500 cameras on display and a 100% analog shooter i also much prefer not to cut up the camera and have nothing but respect for your philosophy. Just trying to figure out how big the viewfinder issue will be for me before buying. I tried clamping my lomograflok to a polaroid 120 and that distance is just too much for me, makes the viewfinder very uncomfortable. Would you say the problem is less on your 600se build than the 110? I have most polaroid models on hand so trying to decide wich conversion will fit me best.
@@MrLennart1976 The 600se instax wide back has less of this problem, as the viewfinder actually sticks out toward you and over the instant back. My 110 instax wide conversion ends up pretty much like when you hold your lomograflok to the back of your 120.
I don't profess to be an expert on his work, but his approach to conversions seems to be quite different than mine. I would think the difference on my end is that mine are totally nondestructive. Remove a couple hinge pins and you have done the hard part of the conversion. Also, I choose to incorporate less of the original donor instax wide camera. My design is 80 percent my own custom-designed parts. It is just a matter of preference which type you prefer.
@@lofianddiy Thanks for the reply. I'm leaning pretty strongly toward your DIY conversion, as opposed to the Option 8 one. But I'm just trying to make sure I'm not overlooking something. I'm also not 100% sure that the 110A that I have is in fully functional condition, so being able undo the modification and put it on another camera is appealing.
I have a Polaroid 220 land camera and was wondering if you offer or could point me in the direction of a conversion kit from packfilm to Instax wide or any other still manufactured film
Hello! Yes, I sell the conversion kit. You supply the camera. It fits on the Polaroid 110, 110a,110b, and other instant roll film cameras of that lineage. The kit can be found here: www.ebay.com/itm/133833016177

No, I am not being held captive(help me!). I chose to set up and do my overview in the basement because I like it there(please go and get help!).
Ha ha, help is on the way.... and they are bringing a whole bag of instax film.
Will this work on the Polaroid 800 Land Camera as well?
Yes, it works fine on an 800, just be sure to specify the model during checkout. Thanks! Aaron
Would this work on a model 900?
Yes, I have had customers use it with their 900!

Does this enable you to do double exposures?
Yes! Do as many exposures as you want. The processing doesn't happen until you eject it manually.
@Lo- Fi and D.I.Y. That rules. Have you ever created a film back that uses instax wide and is compatible with Polaroid packfilm cameras?
@@clarenceboddicker9360 Not yet, but it is on my short list!
Any chance you'll release a data package or bleuprints so people with 3D printers can also build it themselves?
Sorry, no. Thanks for your interest, though!
Does this conversion differ in any meaningful way from a conversion done by Option 8?
