We were treated to some DAYTIME racing with a bunch of BADASS cars! From 2-rotor Datsun’s to Twin-Turbo Vega’s - there was a little bit of everything at this Cash Days!

that Malibu wagon was my second favorite in the lineup though. cause 5 door bu's are dope. we had a local red one like 10 or more years ago that was probably one of the first and few street cars doing wheelies and scraping bumpers on the street.

yeah I'm from Puerto Rico and we got big amount of those Lil Monster. and Australia huffed is big time rotary lover.
I think he would've gone close if he'd hit the tree as well as he did in the second last race. It also looked like he didn't have time to spool up on the 2 step properly. Awesome little car.

I am surprised it made it 4 passes without blowing up. That Vega that won has probably 500 passes on it.
that's funny, cause they never seem to blow up for no reason like most piston engines do, usually you gotta over heat them, then just keep trying to go fast on what would already be considered a incredible hot motor, or completely starve them of oil, then maybe after a few minutes a seal fails and you need to spend the weekend rebuilding it under a tent at the local track grounds... but even then, with half the motor down, you can usually still drive them onto a trailer. after owning 2 rotors, a 3 rotor, GM V8's big block fords, etc. I can say, it takes a wild amount of power for their size to guarantee a failure on a well built and tuned rotary. I mean, how many 6 liter LS motors are out there making 3000hp for multiple seasons? or better yet, making 1hp per cc for any amount of time. don't get me wrong, I have some piston love and a blown sbc is a motor I'll always want in a car, but there's nothing wrong with a rotary. many an ego has been taken down by spinning doritos lol

You really have to admire that rotary. It's small, but by god, is it ready to fight, scratch, bite, and claw its way to the absolute top.
Gotta watch out for them crazy rotary cars. Imagine a 3 rotor in that thing

I have nothing against LS swaps, but why buy a Terminator Mustang just to swap a 6.0 in it? Kinda hurt me inside lol.
Edit: Apparently it is 99 or below Cobra w/o the 4v SC engine. In that case I completely understand why the swap was done as it is usually cheaper to build an LS than a mod Ford motor.

Now this was a good race video, Those last cars are fucking fast. The last race, now that one i wasnt sure who would win, both are stupid fast and well built. Congrats/props to the builders of those. That NA though and lightweight throwing impressive numbers. damn. That rotary is hella quick

That 69 Chevelle would have had him if he didn't blow! That Chevelle left hard and the little Datsun that can was trying to drive around him. He would have run out of real estate if he didn't pop...kickass video! The video from Urban Hillbilly didn't show all this action, it was just the Datsun...kind of understandable, its their car!

How the HELL they got 1000 N/A hp out of a 468 is beyond me. They're running 15:1 compression as well! Is that a methanol engine?
Big cam, big carb, lots of compression and very good heads, 116 race gas, there is 1,000 hp.
Coming from Dynatech/Yeoman, I very highly doubt that engine made 1,000 hp though.
