You are welcome fanny! Thank you for your encouragement and inspiration!! Please watch the slides at the end, they contain really high yield information for surgery
love this condensed review! Weeks away from my step 2 exam ! would you be willing to make a micro one with most common antibiotics indications ? thank you so much
Thank you so much for all of your videos they've helped me so much. I just had a little trouble with some abbreviatons as I did not study medicine in the US; but nothing that google wouldn't help with.
Thank you so much for these videos! I think you wrote transfusion reactions (heme/onc?) but seems that the content were actually transplant rejections.
Stay calm!! Shelf exams are not that important and are not so representative of what's on the board exam. But otherwise, Dr. Pestana's notes is great - the questions at the end are really helpful www.amazon.com/Dr-Pestanas-Surgery-Notes-Vignettes/dp/1506208541
Q47 Viral pericarditis causes marginal pericardial effusion, little to none, compared to purulent effusion. Thus, you would not get decreased heart sounds, but rather the familiar pericardial rub that is associated with pericarditis.
Rrrr..!!! You are totally correct. I ALWAYS make ONE mistake in these videos!!! You found the one!! Thank you so much!!! WIll put it in the video comments now!!
I know.. I know... a number of viewers pointed this out already... I realized my mistake right after posting. let me look into adding a subtitle for that part of the video to put the correction in. Thank you so much!!
@@AJmonics Correction, overall it is still staph aureus as the most common cause of osteomyelitis in sickle cell disease. Salmonella is 2nd most common, and more likely cause of osteomyelitis in sickle cell patients compared to non sickle cell
@@BotBot1178 I literally created a slide on this topic tonight: staph aureus most common cause of "STAF-OBIC" = stands for: Septic arthritis, Toxic shock, Abscess, Folliculitisi, Osteomyelitis (even in sickle cell), Blephoritis, Infective endocarditis esp. tricuspid, Cellulitis
Love your videos! Wanted to clarify... is the most common cause of osteomyelitis in sickle cell patients pseudomonas or salmonella? Video states pseudomonas but sketchy said salmonella ;__;
question 83 : most common cause of om in scd is still staph aureus. salmonella can also cause om in scd but most common one is staph aureus. psedomonas is a wrong answer.
