Again `Mr Taekoh, outstanding.....my early attempts at disassembly/assembly were disastrous....had I come across this video I could have avoided some expensive mistakes. But as you probably know, mistakes, frustrations and setbacks are part of of watchmaking. However videos such as this are very instructive...almost priceless.
IF you had have a course, you woulkd make much less disasters. watcmaker course is 1400 hours, here in my country, more than a year... so you want to start fixing without learn first? gonna take you a lot of mistakes and money...i dont know if its a good idea to touch in watches without any course. Fixing mechnic watches,,, its not an hobby, unless you take it serious...
Hi great video, but I'm having trouble placing the train wheel bridge and I wonder if you can help, or anyone else reading this. Before I tighten the screws the train wheels spin freely under the bridge and seem to be in their pivot holes but as soon as I tighten the screws the wheels get stuck...I figure a pivot comes out but I can't identify which. I have spent literally a week trying to do this and I'm at my whits end. Any advice would be much appreciated.
it is tricky. The main culprit will be the pallet wheel. It sits a little bit lower and the top pivot is extremely small. So line the other two up first and check with a 10x optic that the pivots are in the jewels, then look to manipulate the pallet wheel into its jewel, looking down at the jewel with the 10x optic. You will see when the pivot is centred in the jewel. I am assuming that this is now long ago, but might be of help for others.
The speed and ease of oiling the incabloce was a joy to see, you make it look so easy.
The train of wheels on this one took me forever, You made it look so smooth lol. Thank you for sharing.
