- Welcome to part 3 in the series where we now take a look at how to assemble the movement whilst touching on the lubrication.
During this section i did miss out some lubrication points but i shall be making more videos to cover the lubrication in more depth. Due to the depth & detail involved it is difficult to cover lubrication in one single video.
Part 3 has been broken into two videos due to length so if you want to see the end then click the link at end of video.
Be sure to subscribe for more videos and ring the bell icon to be notified when they are uploaded ! :)

New to this hobby and I'm working on my very first movement. It's a 6498 and this video series is amazing. Waiting for mainspring to arrive then on to reassembly. Thanks so much for the video.
Hey Mike. Great presentation. You have no idea how these four videos were indispensable for me when I disassembled and re-assembled my Unitas 6497 movement. Thanks so much. I truly appreciate it.
Wonderful tutorial, many thanks.
Mike, in your video you suggest making a lubrication video. Do you still plan to do this?
wonderful descriptive video ..thanks so much.
Wonderful video. Thank you. I saved a 6498 movement
Greetings Sir, amazing job. The only tutorial clear and understandable. Two questions, first - 23:44 are those touch each other setting lever spring and minute wheel?? Second questions what is your opinion what is better D5 or 9104?? currently looking for to buy some oils
thanks in advance
Is it imperative that you must lubricate and clean the parts, or can you just take the 6498 movement apart and put it back together?
Why would you want to do that? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Hi, have you ever worked on a BFG 866 1 jewel calendar movement, I put a new clutch in and that was fine but when I tried to assemble the calendar movement I came across this small gear and I do not remember where it goes, any clues. please help.
