The Simpson portrayal was funny but Carter was one of the first people to create a charity to build homes for the needed in the community
A truly wise man who knew how to store his own treasure in Heaven during his earthly life.
Isn’t that why they did it ?
Dan Ackroyd’s portrayal of Jimmy Carter was the first thing I remembered.
I always assumed that Dan Ackroyd's parody of Carter was a dig at Carter's lesser-known tendency to be a micromanager.
R.I.P. Jimmy Carter (1924-2024)
Carter is one of the very rare ppl to do more as an ex president. Most retired president's just lay low, make soeeches for cash, sell books for money etc. Jimmy gave countless hours of free time to help the most unfortunate, that speaks volumes. I got to keet him back in 2017, in my small town of Kings Mountain NC, he stopped by the local mcdonalds here, I was there eating and saw 2 suited guys come in first and then in comes Jimmy alone to order food, he talked and greeted everyone there. The news article should still be online.
He was an easy person to imitate. I do an impression myself. Dan originally did him with the mustache. Our last President with facial hair was William Howard Taft, elected in 1908. J.D. Vance will be our first Vice President with facial hair since Charles Curtis, elected in 1928. Joe Piscopo did Carter in the other clip. Dana Carvey played him in an 1988 episode. The animated bit ran on the first episode of 20/20.
Forgot about his appearance of "What's My Line?" in 1973, where he signed as X because even being Governor was kinda obscure.
Jimmy was likely amused by all the jokes pop culture came up with...rest in peace sir.
0:02 Didn't know that president Carter had a moustache
I thought other presidents hadn't grown one since 1913
He didn’t, the actor just didn’t want to shave it
The wild thing is this guy looked "old" in 1995, and he probably wouldn't have guessed he was going to live 29 more years after that recording was taped.
The impersonations before DJT weren't angry.
US Presidents before DJT weren’t angry.
What about the KING OF THE HILL episode where Bobby mistook him for Jesus?
They showed that one at 1:07.
Two years actually, he took office on January 20th, 1977. He was elected in 1976, but Gerald Ford was still president up until the date Carter took office.
"The amazing colossal president" was one of the funniest sketches s.n.l ever did
Yeah, there’s a lot of presidents on TV
"Crews are working around the clock repairing the house you built" lmao
When Carter died the first time I did was watch the king of the hill habitat for humanity episode
Loved Dee Bradley Baker's impression of Jimmy Carter from American Dad why didnt they show it on this video.
The former president that built homes for the homeless dies right before the former president who builds cages for immigrants takes office.
Obama is not running again.
Unfortunately that problem goes beyond trump
@CartoonEric Obama didn't build cage for immigrants
No Dexter's Lab?
Good video
But why was he History's Greatest Monster? 😑
I don't know, that Hitler guy seems worse to me
Double digit inflation, gas shortages, the Iranian Hostage Crisis, boycotting the Summer Olympics, being incompetent. Just a few things under his presidency which pissed off the whole country.
That's Dubya you're thinking about.
@@tenorly Nah, Jimmy Carter
@@tenorly It's a Simpson's refrence
😢The exemption is offered to Moroccan prisoners while keeping the countryside and the Sahara for many years without trial in the prisons of the Makhzen ...??!! Where are the human rights organizations
