    There’s no excuse now for anyone not changing the coolant on their bike themselves!

    Hi , thank you for your video, it was very helpful video with step by step procedure. I did my coolant replacement on my crf rally yesterday. Can you please confirm coolant drain bolt is 10 Nm torque ?
    Thank you

    • @RoiaMoto
      @RoiaMoto  6 місяців тому

      Hi Sebastian!
      My pleasure and glad to hear you liked the video!
      The torque spec for this screw is not listed in the service manual. In this case I follow the “Standard Torque Specs” listed in the manual which is 10Nm. You’re correct.
      I must say that I practice, all of these bolts of the engine cover I’m doing it by feeling. I usually go lower than what is specified but just enough to ensure there is no leakage.

    Thanks for another great video. Which wrenches are those in your toolkit? Actually, a whole video on your toolkit would be great! You could tell us why you chose each tool and what common tasks it can be used for.

      Hi mate,
      Thanks for the comment!
      Absolutely, I already have a video on the way showing how to put this tool kit together. A lot of thought went into it and I’ll share every detail here on the channel.
      I’d say the video will be live here on the channel in about 2 weeks. Still need to edit it.
      Cheers

    Useful video as always! :) Now I remembered that I need to change coolant on mine. Thanks for reminder :)
    BTW I've heard that is good to anneal copper washer before reuse in order to release internal stresses so it can be squished again. Annealing is basically just heating to red glow and slowly cooling it (opposite of tempering)

    Hi, amazing step by step guide. Can I just top up the coolant wthout having to drain the coolant? Thanks

    • @RoiaMoto
      @RoiaMoto  4 місяці тому +1

      Hi there.
      It is possible to just top it off but it does not subsitutte making a full flush of the system.
      Topping it off will always mix new coolant with the old one. I would recommend making a full flush once every 2 years.

    • @hobobeans
      @hobobeans 4 місяці тому

      @@RoiaMoto thanks for the swift response! I'll ensure to perform a full flush as guided in your video. Subscribed! 👍

      Hi mate
      For the coolant I recommend every 2 years. Theoretically you can stretch it to 3 years but it’s a simple job and not expensive if you do it by yourself.

    Great video, but I was wondering regarding your collant choice. This MOTUL Motocool Expert hybrid tech coolant contains silicates, making it unsuitable for use in aluminum engines, correct?

    • @RoiaMoto
      @RoiaMoto  6 місяців тому +1

      Thanks!
      It is suitable also for aluminium alloys used in motorcycle.
      I’ve been using this one for 12 years(different motorcycle models). No problem at all

    What oil best for crf 300l sir??

    • @RoiaMoto
      @RoiaMoto  4 місяці тому

      Hi there.
      Any reputable brand is ok.
      If possible go for fully synthetic instead of semi-synthetic.
      Viscosity as advised by Honda 10W30.
      I use Motul 7100 10W30 but a different brand is also fine.

    2:42 I'm surprised to see worm screw clamps on a Honda. They don't use those on their cars. Only spring clamps.

    I recommend using genuine Honda parts. The costs are ridiculous and we are sure of the appropriate quality. Motul is an average shelf, but unfortunately it is popular....
