It shouldn't take THAT much -- being hospitalized -- to be able to have the guy in jail and his parental rights severed.
I am a strong ally of family rights, but I especially advocate for children's rights. They have a right to grow up without parental abuse, physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual.
We teach them love by loving them unconditionally, and if we get irritated with them, that is OUR personal issue to deal with. We teach them with our actions, words, body language, and the level of consciousness we relate to them, etc.
If we can always stay in a loving place with children, we will be teaching them the most important thing we can: unconditional love, the key to achieving higher consciousness levels.
We cannot remain in a loving place around an abusive person. There is no place in a family for an abuser. It angered me that this wtf-ing Shady being -- who is he, anyway? Has anyone outside his state ever HEAR of him? -- should hinder all of the thousands of abused women in our country who are yearning to breath free. They should be assisted in escaping abuse, and keeping the children away from the abusive person.
Not to mention the harm they are doing to Shady's own constituents with their "stupid pet" entry into the campaign.

But that group isn't growing, it's shrinking. As this video points out, the ugliness is starting to turn people off.
It truly is horrifing and I hope all the political scientists, historians, and psychologists are busy figuring it out. I place much of the blame on Rupert Murdock, who does not operate in good faith, and Fox News, which isn't news. If this is all the red states and Magas are getting, then it's no wonder this is such a close election.

From our perspective, he's a traitor. Two stories about the barbaric abortion bans that made me so utterly angry: 1) The Ohio parents of a 10 year girl having to go to Indiana to get an abortion after she became pregnant from a rape. 2) A young Texas woman who was miscarrying...bleeding badly...risking serious infection...went to her local hospital for emergency medical care and was turned away bc the drs were afraid of legal consequences by the State of Tx. This is happening in America? It was hard to fathom!
And, the Indiana Attorney General (who is leading in the polls) wanted to prosecute the physician who followed the reporting laws who performed the procedure. The physician won the case.
These people preventing emergency medical care for pregnant women in physical crisis are MONSTERS, yet most consider themselves Christians! It’s why I am agnostic.

For goodness sake, I’m in my 70’s, I’ve always been a Democrat, and I’ve always been patriotic. I’m not that unusual. I prize our Constitution and court system. Just because the Democratic Party made space for dissent and criticism, does not mean there is or was a lack of love of country.
Republicans never had a lock on patriotism- they just cosplayed as the only patriots. Since Reagan, they have always punched down - his welfare “queens” and odious mental health policies morphed into hating gays, trans, and immigrants. Trump is a point on the continuum of flag waving and hatred. He’s just taken it too far for some Republicans (thank God).

Also keep in mind that moderates, especially moderate women who voted trump prior to Dobbs are not saying a word, despite voting Harris.
A close friend is full blown maga & his wife has always heard us disagree over the years & she pulled me aside & told me “don’t tell him, but I’m voting straight ticket D.”

I was a registered Republican from 1992 until 2016. I've been a loyal registered Democrat since 2016 and I'll never vote Republican again as long as I live so help me God. This IS a realignment!

Well, I'm sending money to Debbie Mucarsel-Powell even if the democratic party isn't. I'm tired of both my Florida senators, and this is my chance to help get rid of Rick Scott. (And Don't forget Whitney Fox and getting rid of Anna Paulina Luna[tic]). The Florida ballot initiative on abortion is polling around 70% despite Governor Ronnie's best efforts to sabotage it, so I can hope.

The first time Obama ran for president my wife and I went door to door campaigning for him. The way trump has made everything about violence I would be afraid to go up to a trump supporter's house. They seem to be aching to start the Civil War that trump has been hinting at all along.
For my own sanity, I’ve had to stop watching videos about polling because I am absolutely terrified of having the same disappointment that we had with in 2016 HRC.

Yes, there are SO many Dems/independents that our defeatist Dem party has failed to motivate, who could flood back in to the polls. In Florida 2022 a full HALF of registered Dems didn't even bother to vote, thus reelecting fascist Desantis and MAGA Marco Rubio.

The “funniest” part is Trump calling Kamala Harris “Marxist and Fascist”. I have to smile at such ignorance. Being from Europe, I know that those two adjectives do not go together, because you can’t be one thing and its contrary, right?
Trump is definitely fascist ( in the same vein as Hitler and Mussolini), and in the US, I can’t name one politician being a real Marxist.
Most people think that being liberal means being communist, which is very funny. Those people do not know what communism is, they just use the word. Maybe because it sounds good? Even among the most liberal politicians, nobody has ever asked to create kolkhoze and sovkhoze, of sending back intellectuals to work in the fields, to share your apartment with other families. Now that is communism. Asking for more social justice is not being communist, it is being fair, and asking for more equality.
