glad i found this video . We will b traveling here next year. My mom who will b 74 at that time, would 4 sure have trouble doing this walk. Glad u gave the pointer 2 start at Narragansett instead. She will b able 2 do the flat pavement walks just not stairs & rough terrain. Sooo so helpful. Thanks
Oh wow !!! That is such a wonderful place to visit , especially for summers, its an ideal resort 💕 thank you so much for sharing, I really enjoyed watching it 🌺
This was a great video. Your narration was so pleasant and easy to listen to and wasn't annoying or irritable at all. You have a very nice speaking voice. None the less, this is making me want to go to Newport for a few days, I am only a few states over, should be doable. After watching "The Gilded Age", it makes it even more disirable to see. I think I'd have so much fun on the cliff walk for sure.
This is a complete travel guide video for all and I am very happy to be the first one to comment. Very nice video and editing also I must add. Thanks for creating such a nice video. 😊
What a amazing tutorial i feel in love with the place maybe I’ll consider going one day , you voice sound so nice and calming its was enjoyable to listen and watch 💛
This video was really well done! I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I tried it a few years ago, and I had to end early and take one of the exits--something the video didn't cover. There are certain exit points along the walk which take you back up to Bellevue Avenue. You can only leave the walk at these designated points, which are clearly marked by signs, which also tell you how far ahead the next exit is. Bring water and a protein bar or two. And, yes, when they say rough terrain they are not kidding. Even with good shoes, it is very slippery.
thanks for watching, I was thinking when we started the walk this will be such a nice little walk and then it got super tough, crazy to see women in flip flops doing the cliff walk. Good shoes are a necessity for sure!!! Thanks again for the nice comment we really appreciate it.
Wow this place has so much history! What a beautiful place to visit. A must visit i must say. You have explained the recommendable places so well and so detailed. Youre definetly a great guide! Would love that you tour us when we visit Newport 🤗
😀. What, my hubby didn’t fool you for a native New Englander!? If you think these are bad, you should see his mispronunciations in our Mexico videos! 🤣
We are from Arizona 🌵 so I really don’t enjoy vacations that I’m wearing coats 🤣 we went in the summertime. I think March would be cold still, and as I recall dogs were allowed
Would love to go there, especially as I amelderly and have read that there is public transport, but oh dear I use a walker since falling ,splitting my head getting 21 stitches, would I be able to get aboutsime of the soiylts. Im a trier
Summer in Newport is absolutely nuts weekend or day. If you're looking to avoid crowds the best time is before memorial or after labor. Weekdays in the summer are very hectic indeed
Getting the trolly to the cliff walk is challenging. Your best bet, if you're in a car is to park at 1st beach (Eastons Beach (or if using the language in the vid, earsontoes)) if you're at a hotel, über
Not a single thing is pronounced correctly Salve Regina is Sal-Vey not the other word for balm Narragansett (Holy crap, do you call the beer the same thing?!?!?!? Wtf) Nare- A (like the letter) -Gan (like can) set Do a quick check before butchering our landmarks
@scottsdaletravelchick knowing how to pronounce where you want to go, is very important. It also shows respect to the place that you're visiting. I could cut you a break on something like Succanessett but, Narragansett is an international beer company. And Salve has a HUGE history that's worth getting its name right.
@@scottsdaletravelchick I kind of appreciated the Aquidneck/Narragansett mispronunciations. Makes me realize what I take for granted is perhaps more mysterious than I thought!
Nice job in spite of the mispronunciations of a few locations. I must be the only Rhode Islander to comment, made me chuckle.
Oh I’m so sorry which one did he mess up the most??? Ha ha I’ll work on him 😆
Narragansett and Salve (Regina) were the first two I caught. Didn’t finish the video tho….
Bro I love Rhode Island too
Narragansett = neh·ruh·gan·suht

Wow absolutely beautiful water
Such a beautiful place, absolutely stunning
This is so historical,it's well explained.Am downloading it for my use next year while traveling

Hi Gar,
Thank you very much! It keeps us motivated when we get nice comments like yours!

Wow , this place has so much history . I would love to visit one day
Excellent tourism video. I wish I saw this before doing the cliff walk.
Great video, good pace and very informative! Going there in a few Weeks. What about restrooms?
No public restrooms on the cliff walk. You may be able to hit a Porta potty around Salve
Awesome!!
During the COVID shut down, I walked the Cliff Walk almost every day . . . I don't care if I ever see it again.
Wonder full ,good review
Realmente me pareció un hermoso sueño o un cuento de hadas mi recorrido por las mansiones de Newport.Son bellísimas

Wow! These are amazing views and that beautiful castle took my breath away. Absolutely beautiful and fabulous video. Love it so much. Keep it up.
Lovely! However, being a former, though not native, Rhode Islander, there are some notable mispronunciations: "Narragansett", "Aquidneck" and "Salve".
😀. What, my hubby didn’t fool you for a native New Englander!?
If you think these are bad, you should see his mispronunciations in our Mexico videos! 🤣
OMG I forgot about aquanet 😂
Great video! Will they let you bring your dog on the trolley back to the car (20lbs)?
No pets on the trolly or on the beaches when they're open
It is the first time I see 0 down fingers!
Is it dog friendly? How is this end of March? Too cold? I’m from Florida!!
We are from Arizona 🌵 so I really don’t enjoy vacations that I’m wearing coats 🤣 we went in the summertime. I think March would be cold still, and as I recall dogs were allowed
End of March is pretty brisk and windy. Surf is really good at 1st and 2nd. Winter coats are worn up till may.
during the summer months are the weekdays a little less hectic?
absolutely!!!!!! I would go in the middle of the week.
Would love to go there, especially as I amelderly and have read that there is public transport, but oh dear I use a walker since falling ,splitting my head getting 21 stitches, would I be able to get aboutsime of the soiylts. Im a trier

I live here
Hi James.
Nice place - and nice that you didn’t complain about my husband’s pronunciations!
It should be called “the walk of greed!”
Where do you take the trolley and how much $?
Did you watch the whole video?
Getting the trolly to the cliff walk is challenging. Your best bet, if you're in a car is to park at 1st beach (Eastons Beach (or if using the language in the vid, earsontoes)) if you're at a hotel, über
some of the pronunciations are weird
The ocean walk looks nice, but why anyone pay to tour robber barons’ ostentatious displays of wealth escapes me.
We just enjoyed the walk, little ocean breeze & sunshine. Can’t beat it 😊
Agreed, cliff walk only has a couple of the mansions on it and, you're really just cutting through thier back yard. No charge
Not a single thing is pronounced correctly
Salve Regina is Sal-Vey not the other word for balm
Narragansett (Holy crap, do you call the beer the same thing?!?!?!? Wtf)
Nare- A (like the letter) -Gan (like can) set
Do a quick check before butchering our landmarks
🤣 this is from a tourist point of view
Thanks for the correction though
Wow - get a life Nancy!
It’s a pretty good guide despite the mispronunciations…
