WHAT I DID:
Used the Munich 1997 multitracks as well as live stems that I personally isolated, also bass swells by @NebulaMJ. This whole mix was made to show what I think is the peak Billie Jean sound for me, hence why I included the 1993 bass for example. I’ll do multiple other mixes more focused on the Munich 1997 show.
Also yes there’s still audience noise in this mix, but it’s so minimal that if you were to perform live with this mix, you or your audience would not notice it at all.

peak mix, I love the bass, sounds like 1993 bass, so does the kick, though I feel like the kick stands out a bit too much, I love the snare though. But fantastic mix nonetheless

I wish they kept the background vocalists' vocals in the History tour shows, at least in low volume, like Amsterdam september 28th, 1996
They did keep them, only some shows don't have the backing vocals during the breakdown, but a lot of the shows still have them
-edit: my bad, I thought for some reason you just talked about the breakdown bgs. I agree, wish they kept the live bgs throughout 1997 too

Question/Request: Can you try to make a Cologne 1997 Studio Mix of Billie Jean using the Munich Multitracks? I've tried to do it before but couldn't get it quite right, and Cologne has my favourite instrumentation

Yes it’s different because I didn’t really use the studio multitracks, only the Munich multis and isolated live stems and such
