- Ping are back for 2023 with the replacement to their popular G425 range, so what's new in the Ping G430 drivers and how do they perform?
I tested the G430 LST, G430 Max and G430 SFT and put them up against last year's G425 Max model to see if they have improved.

A great review Hannah. An added bonus was that you have managed to get all 3 new models of the G430. The sound difference between the 425 and 430 is a great advancement for Ping. I have the G425 Max, which I will stay with for another year or two. Thanks again.
Hannah, this is the first review of yours that I’ve seen, and I have to say, what a great job! Clear, precise and relatable. It’s actually what I want from a review. It’s about the club and not all about the reviewer. I stumbled across it because I’ve just changed from the Stealth 1 to the G430 Max, and I couldn’t be more pleased. I actually feel as if I finally have the right club in my hands, which of course just encourages confidence.

It's impressive you're getting these numbers with the Alta CB shaft, I picked up a 430 max and love it, wanted to love the callaway but the Ping was so easy for me to hit.
Really nice review Hannah it's great to see someone with average clubhead speed doing reviews it's more applicable to normal people

Always enjoy your reviews Hannah and im currently gaming my G410 plus and love it but seriously thinking of an upgrade to the G430 especially with that great sound improvement and cannot forget the stability and forgiveness Ping always delivers 😉

Played the G425 . max 10 . All last year, its is super straight and consistent ,,, but sounds like whacking a metal bucket.. 240yrds av..
so in September I switched to a TSR 2 .10 with a Brava 50 g -85 shaft .. its a whole different Galaxy.. now its 280 yrds plus ,,with a smooth smash ing-crunchy sound
and I,m well over 60.......
still love my PING 7 wood and 4 HY... and plan to upgrade them with the new 430 .. with the lighter shafts..
the GLIDE 4.O wedges are also brilliant. with graphite shafts, smac wraps.....you,re welcome .
Great reviews again. Significant new technology in the LST model, but I'm not sold on the other models being a significant improvement over the 425, aside from the better sound.
Brilliant review Hannah. The max seems a great improvement and you really hit that one well. How is the search going for the new driver. Is there a video coming where you chose??
Excellent review and comparison. Just been fitted into the Max 9 degrees lofted to 10, with Alta CB stiff shaft. My swing speed is in the high 80s and distance and dispersion is good. Club head looks flattened and feel is great. Upgrade from G410 is well worth while especially now that it’s been fitted to my swing.
High 80’s and stiff shaft? What were your numbers? My swing is around 97 average and I play regular, wonder if a stiff shaft will lower spin and gain me more distance through a more penetrating flight?
Nicely done. I swing the club at a similar speed to you so like your reviews. They're much more relatable than some of the others on YT. I have a 425 LST and it is a nice club. It is loud though. My dispersion is pretty good and its a real fairway finder. My issue is I don't get much down range run. If I was going to change anything, that would be it. I might try the 430 because I'm a golfing magpie - I love something shiny in my bag!!

I’ve had many Ping drivers over the years and can honestly say I’ve never had the slightest problem with the sound of any of them. I’m currently using a PXG but will probably go to a G430 Max next.

(I wont tell you its 70* here today)... from your review PING may have finally made driver to kick out my G400max, agree? finally kept same great forgiveness but added some yards and that you Jesus, fixed that softball bat sound that I hated but put up with for 10-12 fairways per round... wonder how this compares to hot TSR2?

@@hannahholdenNCG It was okay, but during the trial/demo the stats for my current ping dtiver was better, longer with less dispersion.
Glad sound has seemingly improved finally!! Been put off pings because of looks - hate the turbulators- and the sound and feel. So will look at a hybrid possibly against others to fill a gap in my bag. Not in the market for a driver but a quick point - I just picked up a new and fitted driver including a shaft that suits me - tsi1 - for £350. Don’t think the ping -aside from the looks which would not make me go with it anyway - would be worth the price difference.
One of the best reviews I've seen for this club and my club data is similar to yours although mine is no where near as consistent but is definitely very helpful as I've been thinking of going down to a 9 degree head as my g 410 is 10.5 standard but launches high I never liked the sound of g425.

Hi Hannah, thanks for this great review again !! As you may know Ping has also the High Launch version of the G430, special for slower- swingspeed- players. Ping even promise those players gained on average of nine yards with build HL....When are you going to review this ?

I know it looks colder in this review, but you were getting 30 longer yards longer carry with the stealth 2. That is a lot!!!
One thing i don't like with the ping is.... looking down on it at address the ridges on top really put me off. BTW your reviews are great 👍

I'm not an instructor at all but I noticed on your follow thru you are leaning slightly back which is probably causing your ball to go higher. Really nice swing though.
If you’ve got to choose Paradym or G430?
I am going to get a full fitting before I decide!!

How can anybody think that buying a new driver (new irons, a new putter) will give him or her a better swing, more control and consistency ? Keep your money for courses.
For the price of a new driver, I took 10h with an excellent pro and went from 25-35 to 13-18.
The 425 sounds horrendous compared to the 430 . 430 looks like a big winner for ping

Nice review.. but I don't believe 3300 RPM is optimal for anyone.. It's way too high.

To be honest I couldn't care less about the sound. I want reliability.
There no longer just aesthetics..colour and sound but £525 it's No for me...I'll stick with me Cobra LTDX.

HI CAN I JUST PONT OUT PING I WAS TOLD ARE GREAT NO THEY ARE NOT . HOW CAN I BUY A MAVRIK SUB ZERO AND HIT IT 260 AVERAGE YDS 16 H/C AND YET PING THE BEST MAKERS ALTHOUGH STRAIGHT ONLY GET IT 218 AVERAGE , THE MAVRIK WAS YES NOT AS FLEXIBLE BUT PING NEW MODEL 2023 IS SO FLXABLE FROM 4PM TO 8PM NOT FOR ME OH THATS A SWING SPEED OF 80MPH . PAUL
