You didn't use the tester correctly. This video shows you the right way to use the tester in the beginning. I'd be curious to know if you'd still get the same result if you set it to the right setting. The best way to get these dollar store grillz to actually fit , is to buy an extra set of molds then melt them in with the original molds. That should give you a good fit.

As someone who owns $20,000 grills I can confirm those are not real. The glue in, ones are fake and are dangerous for your gums.
Mine you can remove and put back on anytime you want and have the choice to make them permanent. No bowl involved🤣 They molded my teeth to be exact.
