Well done for braving the weather. We were going to go ourselves as we're only 30 mins away, bailed last minute. Organisers and competitors did their best, but when you can't see it's no good. Hope you've had a good Christmas
Its was still good to see even though it was cut short, I nearly didn’t make it myself after breaking down on route, we got recovered and then drove over in the other car, so missed the practice sessions. Merry Christmas
perfect weather conditions for the cb 500 just to get in some infights. love the sound of that bike with the right pipes on it. already had some of these and i loved it. only the brake performance would be a little bit tricky on the track. :D :D :D nice vid mate! thx and happy new year whishes from vienna.
Our Christmas Day is this year was 12oc and sunny which was great, so Mallory park in Boxing Day was unlucky. 40oc sounds nice but probably to hot 🥵 for me. 👍
Mallory parks lost its charm since they cut all the trees down, it looks soulless now, it was the 1st circuit i ever spectated at in 1970/71, aged 16 i rode my new cd 175 honda there from oswestry shropshire, and what a "race of the year" it was, agostini versus john cooper, best race ever, also witnessed phill read winning 250/350 races, this meeting got me into competing in motorcycle racing, eventually raced there on my td3 250 maxton yamaha and in my latter years ive done loads of trackdays there on my yamaha tzr3xvsp and yamaha owo2 R7, the paddock cafe was brilliant to, i was fortunate enough to watch yarno saarinen win the race of the year there to, also watched transatlantic trophy rounds there to,. I did tick a box and went to the plum pudding round a good few years ago and it was sunny but freezing and it to was cancelled after ice was on track, i think they spun a few laps and called it, fair play to all for keeping this tradition and going over the years,. cheers ,.
That’s an incredible history you’ve had with Mallory Park! It’s a shame about the trees; they really added character to the circuit. Your memories from the 70s sound amazing-Agostini versus John Cooper must have been electric, and watching legends like Phil Read and Jarno Saarinen in action is something most of us can only dream of. It’s fantastic to hear how those experiences inspired you to get into racing yourself, and the bikes you’ve ridden over the years are proper classics. The paddock café and events like the Plum Pudding round really captured the spirit of the place, even in the freezing conditions! Thanks for sharing.
Long suffering Wife dragged along to a cancelled bike meet in the fog..🤣..that's hardcore "living it up" .....😂 . Im lucky too, my g/f (im 63 and ride a streetfightered Busa for last 17 years) came up to my Ind unit last week and cut 2 tons of wood up for the stove with a small Makita electric hand saw when it was -2* ......well done "you Women " 👍🤣

Nice to see an historic track like Mallory Park still being used! 👍👍
Yes indeed, and a great turnout of spectators on the day. I like it as a local circuit to me, I’m not sure I would of fancied it yesterday though 🥶
Great job Simon & Amy
Thanks 👍

Thanks for watching, it’s brilliant to see a bit of winter racing even if was cut short 👍
Nothing like a cold greasy old track 🤪
Crazy 😂👍
40 degrees here in Sydney on boxing day.
No racing, unfortunately.

What a shame! Kids go free as well I’ve just seen which is a great excuse for a day out 👍🏼
It’s a great day out I think, you can’t have bad weather (or maybe you can) 😱
