Wonderful! It's always great to recycle. I also have a download page with tricks that can be printed out. www.worthwhimsywonder.com/trick-downloads Have fun with the tricks.
Hope that you have fun performing the tricks. Some of the gimmicks are available as free downloads on my website: magicwayne.com. You can print these out for free and perform the tricks. Best regards.
I love making my own gimmicks so I love this in general. So many “magicians” say “I don’t want to make gimmicks I want to buy them” the issue with that is (to me) it sounds like lack of experience. Making gimmicks is an ancient art and on top of that it creates creativity in you. Learning methods to gimmick making allows you to learn methods and be innovative. Magic creators do this all the time. That’s how we end up with things like flap cards or card to wallet.
Agreed. Creativity in magic is a great thing. 👍Well said and with lots of insightful thoughts. 🙏 I look forward to seeing your magic creations. Thanks so much for writing and best regards.
Glad you think so! We'll be posting free downloads for the tricks in this video. I had requests from viewers who said that they wanted to make and perform the tricks but didn't want to destroy their decks of cards. I think we have one of these tricks already available as a free download on the site. More of these free downloads are in the works. Thanks for writing.
I love the 2 Queens DIY gluing 3 strips of cards onto one of the Queens and 3 cards vanish in an envelope into just the 2 Queens. I just made it up out of 2 spare decks and the trick worked great on my family!!! Truly looks like you are holding 5 cards!!!! Subscribed.
Have fun performing the trick. If you like these fast, visual tricks with cards, we have a couple in our latest video lesson with gimmicked cards. 10 Tricks to Try Right Now: ua-cam.com/video/91RHZWHPM0w/v-deo.html Thank you for writing and best regards.
Nice job --- luv diy gimmicked cards. Share a different reveal for 7:30 trick: I use a narrow envelope that opens at the end, instead of the top -- cut off the flap, an then I can turn over the envelope without the flap giving away the trick.✌️👍👏
Glad that you liked our lesson. Since publishing this video, we've created free downloads for some of the tricks so you can print out and make your own cards. You can find them here: www.worthwhimsywonder.com/trick-downloads Thanks and best regards.
Good presentation. Not always keen on gimmicked cards unless you can produce them from a full pack. You could start with just the gimmicked cards in the envelope in the “magic envelope” trick, though.
We love your idea of using the envelope and agree that gimmicked cards take more care to handle when you can often accomplish much the same thing with card skills. Thank you for writing and best regards.
That's an oldie (but I guess a goody). I can't recall what tricks are taught in this video but I do have a download page with free gimmicks that can be printed out: www.worthwhimsywonder.com/trick-downloads Glad that you liked my video. Thanks for writing.

I remember you interviewed me years ago for newspaper article Wayne but I'm surprised that you're online teaching magician secrets for the world to see exclamation point this is horrible the Magic World will never recover from this
I'm trying to remember the interview. Was it for an online blog, or DVD? Or was this back when I was writing about business and technology? Did we talk on the phone or conduct the interview via email?
I never tried any gimmick, I am always scared to get busted. I stick to tricks where only has the sleight and routine has to be prepared. I would love some sort of electronic and invisible Gimmicks, for instance with a hidden switch in my shoe or else. Any Idea?
I agree with your ideas about gimmicks. The only thing that comes to my mind are playing cards that have chips embedded into them. By placing the card over a secret reader, a magician can tell the identity. This was sold about ten years ago and was very expensive. But spectators would probably never discover the chip. Thanks for writing and best regards.
These are good, but not safe in front of an audience. Why? Nothing is examinable. You can not go like ”look, these are normal cards...” Unless you ad a discharge system
You're right. Gimmicked cards - depending on the card trick - are always suspect. I always recommend that a magician always follow a gimmicked card trick with another trick to take the heat off of the cards. Try to get the spectator interested in something new before he has a chance to wonder if the cards were legit.
5 more gimmicks.. so happy I kept my worn practice decks.. some of those cards will thank you :)
