- Quick tutorial on mixing up your own graffiti paint. The homemade mop can be a variety of things to start, including the window marker shown or bingo dabbers. This is a paint so it will not flow through a traditional marker as ink would.

Im actually super new, and had no idea where to get a mop.
So i did this EXACT same thing, i bought like 3 of those markers from my dollar Tree, and then filled them with House paint, Paint thinner, and the smallest amount of mod podge.
They lasted me for about 3 weeks, then the base sponge wore off, so i replaces them with cotton balls, and got an extra week out of them.
Needless to say, i thought i was an idiot for doing it, but i didn't know someone already thought of it, i watched this video expecting a different way.

@@Marty_Kafa i dont really remember what the brand was, but it was just normal paint that you paint your walls with. i went with black because thats what i had at the time because my parents were painting garage sale signs at the time

If brake fluid corrodes plastic over time, then why is it that brake fluid comes in a plastic bottle?

Because there are different plastics and MOST plastics corrode. Not all. It's the same plastic they store acids/bases with probably.
+Arrow's Kinder Magic The plastic they use for bottles of brake fluid is the same plastic as most mops, bingo dabbers, stamp cleaner bottles, etc. Believe me, I've done my research and I don't talk out of my ass like Sive over here. I've left ink containing brake fluid in mops for pretty lengthy periods of time and have never had any problems with corrosion or even leaking.

Pentrol is also a great thinner and it acts as a sort of lubricant on the nib for those flowy hand styles
Paint doesn't absorb into surfaces so adding DOT3 and making it take longer wont cause your handstyle to have that 'ghost' when its buffed. That works with inks and dyes only. Thats from the pen ink and alcohol recipe.
I took the insides out of a glue stick and put some ink I already had in there and cut up a sponge to use as the nib. Sponges work very well, it can just be difficult to cut it to the right size so that the ink doesn't spill, but also can still flow smoothly.

I used the same window paint thing but I used the pen ink for it and used nail paint remover and changed the sponge with a mr clean sponge

Use a old shirt as the nib yo
Add a piece of old t-shirt or rag and rubber band around the sponge nib for longer lasting nibs. I personally use very thin gauge wire instead of rubber bands
I wanted to know how I can make a very dark and shiny black paint and also how do I make a white or silver gel using these things like fluid, thinner and etc ... why I make a white paint with latex and water based enamel but not fixed after a while .. And that black that you use what is called?

so i just used alkyd resin based paint and turpentine substitute but it takes hell of a time to dry

If I use wood stain instead of an ink can I treat the wood stain as a ink?
So what if you had gone thinner it would have had less drips or did I hear wrong. I like the look just I would prefer less drips. I know this video is old but if you could let me know it would be pretty ill.
Dude I was gonna make a mop and I found that at the dollar tree and then I searched up vids so I somewhat know what I was doing I just empty it out and add acrylic paint to it it works good

I made it and I put the paint into a pump marker and sometimes when I'm tagging the paint doesn't come out
For the brake fluid** use a king size sharpie they're made of aluminum except for the top so you could screw something onto the top
But then you cant squeeze

Just saying you can rip out the sponge from the car marker and clear out the bottom and the little stick inside the cap and then make a nib out of socks or shirt etc, then fill it up with ink and then you have a much better upgraded version of the car marker for graffiti. :]
would acetone work instead of paint thinner?
try thinning with acetone next time. dries fastest/best homogenization. (throw that brake juice in the trash)
can I do the same with acrylic paint? cuz I have a tone of that
I made this ink with same recipe but, my mop wont squeeze any paint out of it. What do i need to do? And yes I know Im late...
You can also use acetone to thin paint down

sounds like the seal on your threads is loose. might need some tread tape.

D N acrylic is even easier, all you have do do is reduce with water. I wouldn’t suggest chalk as pigment but there are loads of raw pigment that can help

heres a video idea : get the jacquard youcan and make a home. made paint mix that work and do some tags or a fill for a throw or something
Brakefluid in oilbased paint actualy eats the paint so its easier to buff thats only for achol baised inks

yo wassup im a writer from uruguay and i follow your tutorial with sintetic enamel (basically the same as oil paint) and thinner. i have a problem, the paint doesnt mix with the thinner and when i want to make a tag i need to shake the marker a lot. it works well, but i really need to shake it and its not convenient. what i did wrong? cheers
Hey hey! Sounds the thinner and the paint are not mixing. I would suspect that they are not compatible
how much would you say that costed altogether? And how many tags can one filling do?
$20-$25. depending on local availability and weather or not your going to use the brake fluid
Hey any idea where one could get stickers? I'm guessing that name tags are a dime a dozen at the dollar store and I think I've heard that post offices usually just give them away
