thank you
why did they not show the big incident and fire??
I have the same question. Who was in the car on fire ? Is he alive ? What happened to him ?
@@gordonshumway888 Both drivers walked away safely. The reason it isn't shown is the ghoulish pleasure some people seem to take in watching other people getting seriously injured.
@@fullmontyuk In american championships every accident, even a small one, is thoroughly studied and the video stream directors show that every person on track is alive and in good condition. I am just shocked with the attitude to people's health in european racing championships.
Maybe to avoid the grosjean type.moans after his car in 2020 did the same
@@fullmontyukoh, snowflake era. Can’t show anything bad, got it.
No wonder that f1 don't use this track for pre-season practice anymore. What a absolute joke to call this a race
As far as I know in pre season winter Testing in f1 you're not racing
99% of those drone angles ae just unnecessary
Agree
They are really cool looking when they follow a car behind it like a chase cam, but they only do it for a corner or two, do it for a lap!!!
@@fast_mattw8059 meh overrated angle imo. Its cool in rallycross though. But its just been very poorly executed over the past few races
They are very helpful in showing me how little of the circuit you can spectate from, such a shame they havesome of the best general admission viewing areas none of them used
@@ryansandall633 Im sorry I may be to stupid to understand your comment 😅 because barca is one of the best GA tracks besides Spa in Europe. You can pretty much walk all the way around the track and have it in sight 24/7
glad i did not watch this one live lol
26:38 Gelael aren't indian
Of course, Sean is an Indonesian
What an exiting 5 minutes 😂
Porsche results in Race 1 of Round 5/5 of the Sprint Cup (Round 9/10 Overall) at Barcelona 🇪🇦
🥈 Sven Müller 🇩🇪 and Patric Niederhauser 🇨🇭 in the Rutronik Racing 🇩🇪 n. 96 takes their 2nd Overall podium of 2024‼️🥳
❌ Rutronik Racing 🇩🇪 n. 97 received a post-race Penalty for the contact in the Last Lap, losing the podium in the Bronze Class and relegated to 4th place in class
Is there no red flagging the race in GT races, like in F1?
Wow, what a shitshow this race was. This coverage is also abysmall, we are under safety car for almost an hour and we dont show the incident for more than one replay, we dont update on drivers, we dont even mention the fire…this seems like some kind of sham i just watched. 🤔
@@fast_mattw8059 well the drivers walked away (did you miss that part when cameras showed both drivers talking)
They won't mention the fire initially bc they see it might be a serious accident, that should be obvious. Then, later on, they absolutely did update us on the drivers by showing them walking away.
Admittedly I am a new viewer to this particular series coming from three decades of Nascar fandom. Ive never been able to stand the older announcer here. He constantly drags on and on and mis speaks a lot. Called the audi a Mercedes in the first crash, mainly because he talked so slow that he sped up the end of his thought as he sensed how long he had been talking for already lol
Dislike him or not but he's still a multiple formula one race winner and should've been world champion
@@SilverHatch1600 no i totally get that he is a legend in his own right, but I mean, do YOU enjoy his commentary or do you feel maybe its tine for him to hand it off to someone else?
@fast_mattw8059 I do enjoy his commentary because he does know his stuff more than you'd think and he has a good relationship with David (main comms) which enables a good listen.
@@SilverHatch1600 ill give it another shot 🤘🏼
believe me john watson is far from being the worst offender when it comes to commentators making mistakes
First time ever watching GT. I thought it was a race, not a parade. I suppose I got what I paid for. Nothing.
Gt racing is amazing trust me. This one's just a special one. Unfortunate to have this as a first. Try other races/ also other gt series
The announcers in this series how f'ing hilarious. Some 'drama' in the back? Yea sure a fireball but just some drama. I see people complaining on here but let's remember this is free and these guys probably aren't paid much. Americans are spoiled by top level broadcasting typically at every level (im American). Why they'd ignore talking about the incident is odd but thats the charm of GT World. Its kinda amateurish coverage but its free so thank you. Thank god that guy wasnt knocked unconscious and gtfo quickly.
These two provide the best commentary in motorsports. Not talking about the incident is not an act of amateurism, they won't talk about the accident until they know everybody is fine. and after that a replay was shown and they talked about it. I do not really see why they should have talked about it any more than that. And as far as sportscar racing broadcasts go, this is pretty much as professional and high-level as it gets. Calling this amateurish is a bit wild.
In contrast to the American broadcasts, there is less gawking at the races here and they were updated...watch the race properly^^
Amateur broadcast looks different, no worries^^
@@theflagstand👍👍👍👍👍
Maybe he's used to a racing series where two cars driving behind one another called dramatic its called f1
Langosh Ports
What a joke. Awful
Yeah
Another boring winner..
Embarrassing.
What happened in the first turn of the first lap ? There definitely was a fire but for some reason it was not shown in the stream. 31:45. It was my first time watching european GT races in many years and what I see is that there was a very serious accident in the first turn with car on fire and this accident was not shown in the stream. This is disgusting. I doubt that I will watch european races in future after such strong attempts to hide evidence of serious accident in the race. Instead of showing the red flag when a car is on fire they just did not show a frame of the real accident. This is digusting.
Ghoul!
Oh how bout it potentially being against series policy to show things like or even UA-cam's own policies
Agreed. This was very strange to watch as an American. It was a safety car for almost an hour!!!! And they just talked in circles and tiptoed and ignored the incident at hand!!!!
@@markhunt7434Yea but grosjeans fireball incident is all over YT. gimme a break.
Yea wth is that? Someone in turn 1 uploaded the video on YT which i saw before this. So i come here thinking it will be covered.
