Agreed that Mammoth Tusk base definitely is solid all-around (looking forward to trying one of his original scents). And, that's a brush pour that will never get boring.
That is a very nice looking brush! I need to get a handle for my Maggard slant head - been borrowing from other stuff when I use it. Thank you for sharing HD!
@@HDShaves I see. Does the blade in the maggard slant need to have the same distance on the edges? In other words , the blade being parallel to the top cap? I hope I made sense
@@BeautyofScent the top cap is also slanted if that's what you mean. also when the razor head is assembled with the blade, the blade does not have even exposure all the way across because of the slanted angle.
Thank you for spending the week with Restore! Really glad Tusk was such a highlight for you.
Thanks for the thoughtful review HD and super helpful tip re: the sizing of the SHD knots!

MR11 is a great option. For another Maggard handle that's a bit heavier I might suggest the MR5.
does your maggard slant need blade adjustment when loading the blade?
Sometimes. The alignment has been known to give people trouble, it's definitely not perfect.
