I absolutely love winter village, probably one of my favorite themes in Lego. I’m moving into a new place at the end of the month and can finally set up everything I’ve been collecting.
That's beautiful Matt. What an achievement! I'm so proud of how far you've come, and so happy that you have nearly completed your dream of collecting all the sets. I love that tree, the penguin scene, the modern building with the glass window and tree inside, the way you did the snow, all the scenes - I could go on and on. It's amazing. Really well done. Looking forward to seeing the expansion next year 🙂
Aspen!!! So very kind of you! Thank you! I definitely humbled myself when I watched the last two years of videos. It’s crazy looking back and seeing the size and skill level increase each time and that definitely encourages me to continue on building day to day! Not to mention comments like this! Thank you very much!!! 😍
I’m making it much larger this year but not sure if I can afford lights yet. It’s very expensive. But eventually! 😍 I may try to start on some of it. Updates soon!
Thank you so much!! I’m currently happy leaving the last two sets in boxes until next year. 😅 now that the video is finished we’ve just been playing with scenes and trolleys. 😂 It’s awesome to play with.
Love this! You did such a great job. Plus you said in 2021 that you would MILS plate this one, and you did - very cool! That's my plan for my winter village for this year. I miss your skating area though. Not sure why I love those so much, but the icy blue color and the open space for minifigs to play is one of my favorite things. Looking forward to your 2023 village!
Thank you! I do have a large pond in the new layout. It’s one of my favorite new sections to the winter village this year! New video will likely come in December.
Lots of great ideas. Mine is expanding pretty quickly as well. Up to 32 square feet (38 baseplates) multi-level this past year and too big for my basement. Our local railway museum has asked me to expand it and display it this season for their Merry Market over 3 weekends this December. I'm thinking somewhere between 48 and 60 square feet as I have every set released in this theme plus Hogsmeade, Chinese new year, Laketown waterfront from the Hobbit, lighthouse, replica of our local train station etc. Debating on going MILS but the cost will likely be too prohibitive. Keep up the great work and thanks for some great ideas!
Well this is a fantastic video Matt! The village is looking fantastic. so many amazijf details around! The tiling looks nice. Great to hear you have taken this to a few shows. Also Very clear video 👌
Very pretty love the little details. The star wars method is epic. Is there two doggo mining there somewhere a certain German Sheppard and Chiuahua. Epic build mate
i’ve seen a bunch of these but this is my favorite one. also, how did you make that bakery?? the one next to the holiday main street set. it fits in amazingly well

Love to see some light kits being added.
Makes the whole thing come to life.

The Winter Village looks extraordinary - what a great home or showpiece. Just need to add some lights now!!
Thank you! Next year! I got the itch now. 😂

That’s incredible! I’m expanding to 60 plates this year for the first show and eventually 72.

Thanks Andrew! Can’t wait to share what else I’ve been working on. 😁
Good to see I am not the only one that leaves the IKEA stickers on the legs of the tables! LOL
Maybe if they didn’t always leave sticker residue behind I would. 😂
Great attention to detail! I can recommend the "Winter Village Old Inn" alternate build for the Hogsmeade Village Visit set :)
I definitely want to expand and eventually make hogsmeade it’s own sort of thing.
this is amazing man
Thank you! 😊

Thank You!!! I actually don’t have a chihuahua yet. My first one will be in series 23. But there’s a ton of hidden animals throughout. 🤣
I love it Matt
Thank you very much! 🙏
u mentioned possibly making ur own stickers for the police car. how do u make custom stickers???
Use transparent vinyl sticker paper and a printer. I design them in Canva or photoshop.
Sweeeeet!

Thank you!!! 😍 I took the original WV bakery (10216) and just MOCed it out to match the newer buildings that released this year. 😃
Next thanksgiving show I’ll just give you your own tables for the village. Nice to see the Hogwarts Express running.
What size table did you use
2 IKEA “Lagkapten” 63”x31” desktops.
