I had a similar setup for a long time then i sold it when i went overseas. I tried to buy it back but my friend won’t sell it back to me 😂. So here i am searching on Google for technics and i run into your video. I’m so jealous with your setup
No sound coming from my ge-70. Checked the connections pressed all the buttons. Just turned on my hi-fi stack after not turning on for about 4 years. I got rid of my warfdale speakers and now using a blue tooth receiver with a speaker.
hello as i understood pre amp tape out to-ge90 in ,ge90out to ge70 in ,ge70out to pre amp in also connect cassette player to ge90 (rec out, play in) then choose source on ge90
Hi, bit late to this video, but 2 questions if I may. What speakers are you using in this video (I have a SU-600 linked to Sony bookshelf 8 Ohm), am looking to pick up a SH-GE70 graphic unit soon. And secondly, what was the name of guest track you were playing to demo the link up (while you were adjusting eq levels) Tried using Shazam and Google sound search but, bigger all came up. Thanks fellow Technics follower 😎
you would need a cassette player as in the video. if the amp has tape monitor selector it will work. while running through tape monitor all other inputs work as normal, i.e cd, radio and aux. don’t ask me how or why as i don’t know myself lol. just follow the steps in the vid if you can.
hello komsu, as i understood pre amp tape1-2(doesnt matter, you can use which one you want) tape out to first ge70 line in, first ge70 line out to second ge70 line in second ge70 line out to tape1-2 in (which one you wanna use) you can connect a passive subwoofer like bose acoustimass 5 also if you wanna add a cassette player i think thats the solution: pre amp tape out to-ge90 in ,ge90out to ge70 in ,ge70out to pre amp in also connect cassette player to ge90 (rec out, play in) then choose source on ge90 lastly you gotta switch source to tape 1 or tape 2 its up to you which one if you wanna use
yes run it through tape monitor on your amp. you will need a cassette player to do this and follow instructions in the video if you can. amp will work as normal running through tape monitor i.e cd radio aux will all run through tape monitor and have better sound. if your still stuck trying this get back to me and i’ll help you out.
You connect Tape Out from the amp, to Line In on the EQ, and Line Out from EQ, to Tape In on the Amp. Then just flick the 'Tape Monitor' switch on your amp to use the EQ.
Hello: Good video. Could you help me. I have a Receiver SA-DX950, a SH-GE70 equalizer, a SH-GE90 audio processor, in addition to a CD player and a telecommunicator player all Technics. The processor I do not have it connected to the rest of the whole because it does not like it. I thought you could only connect a single team to improve the sound. You can connect to the set of components of I have.? If so, you can help me with a chart of how to make the connections ... Greetings ..!

Can you just Connect the GE 90 to a SUV 600 mk2 amp mate or does it have to go through a tape deck?
yes you have to run it through a tape deck. if your amp has tape monitor it will work through that.

pre amp tape1-2(doesnt matter, you can use which one you want) tape out to first ge70 line in, first ge70 line out to second ge70 line in second ge70 line out to tape1-2 in (which one you wanna use)
you can connect a passive subwoofer like bose acoustimass 5
also if you wanna add a cassette player i think thats the solution:
pre amp tape out to-ge90 in ,ge90out to ge70 in ,ge70out to pre amp in
also connect cassette player to ge90 (rec out, play in)
then choose source on ge90
lastly you gotta switch source to tape 1 or tape 2 its up to you which one if you wanna use
