I've been defending Kween but after this episode I just can't. 😭 Also, the non-Ru girls have been taking the riggory and critics very gracefully, and then you have Kitty and Kween. Very disappointed of those two tbh.
I wasn't defending her, but I was giving her some benefit of the doubt. The look in her eyes and her inability to let it go. She definitely revealed her unhealthy inexplicable anger at Nellie, insecurities. I hope Kween heals. If gossip is accurate she's been sabotaging herself like this with Aussie, Kiwi Queens and a queen from her DU season.I hope she breaks that cycle of anger.
Life spit them in their faces because they're not humble, not at all. They were in this bubble of "I'm ABSOLUTELY perfect and I'm ABSOLUTELY destroying this" when gurl, no you're not. Now that your bubble exploded, they're unable to see reality and they lash out. I personally stopped liking them when the riggory was in their max but indeed, this episode in particular was just... not very good for either of them. I thought that Kween was going to be crowned. After this episode? No way in hell. Either Nehellenia or Alyssa is going to take the crown by default, similar to Keta on DU S1
I wholeheartedly agree. I LOVED Kween on her season and was so excited to see her back again. Kitty I did not really care for but she is very talented. However Kween has been behaving like a child and frankly a bully and so has Kitty. They are spoiled entitled brats. You have 3 wins each which are super questionable and the only girls leaving are the non Ru girls and Nehellenia has had an amazing season. The judging has been questionable at best and this season could have been so much better. I wonder if the rumors of Alyssa defending Nehellenia and getting into a huge fight with Kween are true? 🤔

I'm very confused by your commentary on the whole behind the scenes thing? Because the only queens that have spoken about it are Nelly... and then Soa who cleared up a few things which were taken out of context from Nellys live but she never denied the Kween/Alyssa fight happened nor that queens asked for her disqualification. We've also had non-verbal confirmation from Tessa & Athena openly saying Nelly was bullied during that episode. Not sure where you're getting the "4 or 5 girls saying it didn't happen" from... because so far none have? That aside, I understand not wanting to cover the drama as obviously we have no way of knowing what happened for sure but I'd probably avoid having a whole segment where you're discrediting Nelly for no reason if you're not covering it??? Edit: I just checked now and Kween has finally spoken on things... and as you'd expect she's painted herself as the victim but in her post she basically confirmed it did all happen, just with a bunch of excuses and off-topic sob stories thrown in.
Well hearing Soa they are still under the contract that is why I think many queens stayed quiet. Not even Nehellenia has really agreed or denied the claims fully.

The only one who's posted in favor of Kween has been Soa and she didn't deny it happened. She just came for Nelly about their non-disclosure agreements, which sort of confirms it happened? I think it's sort of okay not to want to stir the pot about a clearly controversial season, but not calling bullying when you see it is why bullying keeps happening. One thing is shade and arguments which is fun, but when you take the WHOLE of the season, you see a pattern and what Kween and Kitty have been doing should be called out. Kinda disappointed in you for this video to be honest.

Yall thought the makeup on nelly and Pythia was rough? Pythia basically had Nelly’s makeup copied and pasted on her face, they looked like twins. Like even Athena said on X that Nelly was bullied by Kween.
Issue i think is that Nehellenia has naturally larger lips and a softer face so little contour and overlining works for her, where it might not work as well for Pythia (to where she kinda looks like valentina mask-gate) but it was undeniably Nehellenia's face on Pythia, that was stamped
Nelly said (referring to backstage tea) it happened and Tessa seemingly acknowledged that it happened, and Athena acknowledged what Nelly said about it being bullying Soa didn't necessarily say it didnt happen, just that it breaks their NDA

Athena Likis looked SOOO good. Tessa really turned her out and Athena sold/acted the hell out of that runway. I was surprised she was LOW. Also, super sad to see Vanity go, she was a joy this season and I'm so proud of her.
And Kween also reposted a comment about someone saying Nelly was being favored and that she should’ve won and it’s all favoritism when she and Kitty are probably the most favored Kweens on the show

I truly do enjoy Mera's channel and have been for a long time, but I really can't get behind her review of Global all stars. Are the fans taking it too far sometimes? Sure, 100%. But when people keep saying and saying that the show suffers from favoritism and some of the queen's behaviors are clearly uncomfortable and not okay, then something is going on, and ignoring it won't solve the issue. I know Mera either doesn't read the non-paying comments or don't acknowledge them, but I truly encourage her to read them this time and try and understand why people are upset, especially since y'all are native English speakers.

Even if her drag is considered alternative in most of the drag scenes here in the states, it’s still based on the American aesthetic of “female illusion” or characterization. So I don’t think she’s trying to play nice, it’s just her opinion. Every season has favoritism and production favorites. This season production misjudged who will be popular so I’m thinking they’re just aiming for engagement n drama at this point.

Disappointment by your take on the nelly/kween situation. Kweens (and kittys) treatment of Nelly the whole season has been off putting and yes, bullying. That’s what it means when you go after one person, continuously, unprovoked. It’s gross to see. I loved both kween & kitty before GAS, now I cannot say the same. Also kittys lipsync was making me physically cringe, it was messy and meh, surprised she won with that performance but really I’m not surprised based on how this seasons favouritism is so obvious. this whole season feels quite pre written in some moments. Of course they weren’t going to send kitty home, vanity’s lipsync this episode was fine also. I wasn’t floored by it but honestly I felt she performed the song better. But her fate was written already, having kitty in the bottom felt more for vulnerability (a trope we’ve seen before). I was so excited for this season, but i knew as soon as pythia was brushed off during snatch game, she was fated to go home in the roast. I anticipated it somehow. I was mentally checking out of the season after that

I totally see the point, but remember it’s Rupauls competition not the world’s view on drag. I wouldn’t sell a red velvet cupcake to a Texan with whipped cream on it (cream cheese!) ya know? It’s selling to your audience. Like Nelly is a fab queen but the most memorable moment she’s had with rupaul is the whole margarita pizza bit. That doesn’t devalue her product, because she really can’t control what her audience (Ru n the producers) think is funny or memorable.
Imo the reason why Kween and Kitty are getting more flack for their comments when we had other, more “explosive” fights on Drag Race is because in the edit it’s just so one sided. We never see Nelly be shady/mean towards them but they’re acting like Nelly killed their pet, family, stole their job and called them a slur. It’s not shade, it just comes across as spiteful. There’s no fun, it’s just mean and nasty.
Mabuhay! Hi Mera and Scarlett! Not because I’m a Filipino but Drag Race Philippines Season 3 is my top, best and juiciest season this year, yet. They are the best representation of LGBTQIA+ community here in PH. Filipinos are sensitive, passionate, generally happy most of the time and family-oriented. I love how unique Angel’s representation of trans community, her unbreakable her bond is with Maxie and that’s the real thing. I relate with Maxie since we are both the eldest and the go-to person for the youngs. It’s sad to end the season at this point because DRPH is the breaker of curse baby!
It's not only that Kween's "delivery" was "harsh" or "cringy", it is also that this is not the first, or the second, or the third time she comes for Nehellenia like that, not being shady but just plain hateful.
First let me say I look forward to your videos every week and I love hearing your viewpoints! I have to slightly disagree with your opinion on Nellie’s make up for Pythia. If you look closely, it’s a carbon copy down to the same eyebrows, cut crease, etc. I do agree that Nellie should have put more foundation on Pythia in the beard area, but again, Nellie made her look like her sister. Agreed that Kween was too harsh! She has 3 wins already and is one of Ru’s favorites…she should just calm down…
Damn, sorry to say this, but Mera’s takes are so off as of late. There’s a very visible and audible bias here, and instead of being honest about it, she tries to cover it with bs excuses. Kween knows better than this. You can't excuse poor behaviour by saying "Just being honest", Such a Daya moment. It's not always what you say, but how you say it. Kitty says it tongue in cheek, Kween came to set her wigs on fire. This wasn't shade, it came across as Heathers/Boogers nasty and she was trying to be the Reginia George. She's so much better than the character she has shown here. She has always come across as an honest but caring queen. I hope she takes some accountability for some of the things she has said, and how she has said it because she's a fantastic queen, and I would hate to see her lose the fanbase.
And even Soa didn't deny it, she said Nelly should be careful bc there's still an NDA going on and then talked about it directly with Nehellenia in live and they confirmed that something happened but Nelly's words were taken out of context and twisted (Hence why Soa at first talked about lies being spread). Even Kween herself, while denying the huge fight rumor, implied something bigger went on during untucked.

Kitty and Kween will not win after all the controversy. I hope Alyssa or Nelly wins. Those are the 2 remaining that are saving the season for me. Nelly is slaying it almost every week and Alyssa is very solid and brings it with the personality. But im over Kitty and Kween being delusional.
What are you talking about with that a lot of the girls are denying the fight in untucked took place? Literally no one else has spoken about it except Soa who cleared up some misconceptions but did allude that a fight between Alyssa and Kween happened regardless. It's getting hard to watch your coverage of global all stars when you keep defending Kween (and sometimes Kitty's) awful behavior. She's been a bully all season. Nuance is important, but it always feels like you're teetering over to justifying bullying.
Why are you trying to make it seem like Nelly said something, and then half the cast went and said it wasn't true? At the time of you posting this, the only queens who have said anything on it were Nelly,Soa, and Athena, with Anthena agreeing that Nelly was bulled this episode, and Soa only disagreeing that Alyssa and Kween got into an fight over what Kween said to Nelly, not that what Nelly said was incorrect, and not that that Alyssa and Kween didn't get into a fight. Even at this time, there haven't been 3 to 4 queens who have said what Nelly said wasn't true, so why was that brought up?
If Kween was playfully throwing shade to everybody every now and then, I'd understand it as shade. But coming for a single queen every episode is not it. And the delivery is also just weird and comes across as mean. Untucked drama and "fights" can be good entertainment to some point, but Kween has crossed the line.
It is a reality TV show. They edit down a person to look a certain way. And there have been literally worst fights in untucked. You could call almost all the All Stars 1 cast "bullies" against Mimi, but since she isn't that well liked it is funny.

I think it’s also rude of Kween to go in on Pythia looking like a man because, as far as I recall, Pythia is non-binary and it could come across as deliberately hurtful or misgendering of Pythia.
Just because there's been worse things said or more intense bullying (especially when commenting on a person facial hair that is obviously is attempting to be covered) that has happened on other season doesn't invalidate that experience.

Scarlet just agrees with Mera and has for years and it makes me click off until its a video with Mera and another drag with their own opinions. I love the Philippines top 4 the season is one of my favs of all time. I personally see Maxie winning but Khianna and Angel have been wonderful and Tita has been so great

I've read or watched nearly everything that we currently have on this whole 'behind the scenes' aspect (including some additional content that delves into this further) and it pretty much comes down to what isn't being said in responding (or not responding) to Nehellenia's comments. Soa also did a live; referring to a fan's question on the matter, Soa wouldn't get specific, instead implicating Nehellenia as potentially running afoul of her 'Drag Race' contract in terms of disclosing of something to the public that production didn't include in the final edit. That said, I do think this revelation goes a long way to illustrate why many of the queens have refrained from participating in the larger dialogue thats been ongoing as a result of what we're seeing develop week to week and what the implications are.
I've stopped watching the GAS part cause it's a bit weird how much you agree with production's questionable choices and skimming over the drama, it's disappointing but I'll still watch your other reviews.
I mean, you can clearly see in the episode how the others were reacting to Kween's comment, expecially Pythia, then Athena basically tweeted out clearly that she felt Nehellenia was bullied, Tessa implied it and Soa went on live with Nehellenia herself and cleared out that Nehellenia was not lying but her words were taken out of context and twisted and that she should be more cautious bc the contract is still up, which means what Nehellenia said was true at least to an extent if she could face consequences for that. The only one going against it is Kween and she's not even denying shit happened, she just added more context saying that there was more to it and that it's currently affecting her. And her words kinda made it even worse bc first you repost ppl saying the season is full of favoritism implying it's against you, when you and Kitty are CLEARLY the one receiving it, then you say you went off like that against Nehellenia and Pythia bc of a comment that was about what RuPaul said on the runway (and what Ru said was VERY uncomfortable tbh, bc she basically said Soa needed Kween to be finally seen as a superstar) ?? That's not making your position better. And she kept going there even when other queens like Vanity and Alyssa were trying to de-escalate, ironically doing the same thing she accused Nehellenia of when they first fought in untucked: taking away the spotlight from queens enjoying their good performance and sucking the energy out of the room. I really don't know how you can't grasp this when it comes to Kween and Nehellenia, either you're so biased against italian drag bc of one horrible season that left a bad taste in your mouth and that makes this behaviour acceptable in your eyes bc it's against Nehellenia or you're intentionally skewing the narrative and that's NOT the Mera I recognize from a lot of other instances where you were able to give a nuanced view and to call out shitty behaviour.
I’ve watched your videos right from the start, even during some testing times youve had with certain guests, and they’ve always been some of the most interesting and non biased out there but somehow, you seem to have changed ever since the Paramount stuff came about. It’s almost like you watch an entirely different show which is very, very sad ! There is a very big difference between being shady and straight out coming for someone personally and both Kween and Kitty have done this right from the start of the season. Not only have the come for Nelly in front of the others but they’ve also emphasized their views in their confessionals and I don’t recall one kind comment towards Nelly or her drag. I guess there will now be another 2 week interval of no videos based on many of the comments challenging your views was happened after the last Nelly attack. Even if it is an edit, Kween and Kitty (and everyone) have said these things and have given the editors that clips to use so they can’t deny saying them or the tone on which they were said It’s sad overall because this could have been an exceptional season but the world has been introduced to some amazing queens and I wish them nothing but the best I am sure both Kween and Kitty will come out of this OK and their careers will grow along with their own followers and supporters and hopefully, things will be ok for everyone

I would recommend you both take a step back and analyze your biases as Americans and native English speakers. It might help to imagine being constantly disregarded by someone not speaking your original language and then having to try and defend yourself in a language you're not fully fluent in.
I agree, DRPH3 is one of those gold level seasons. And I hate that it’s about to end cause I really connectes with most of the queens. The episodes are longer than other franchises, and add Untucked to that, and yet it goes by in a flash. And I have to admit, I’ve teared up a few times while watching. Now I’d be happy for any of the top 4 to win, but I’m especially rooting for Khianna & Maxie. I love Tita Baby, but I doubt she’ll win. But being in the finale has elevated her; just too bad that all she won are mini challenges, but she still got 40K pesos, some validation and an experience of a life time.
Really Mera? Spreading false info by saying 4 or 5 queens denied the situation? You are intentionally, INTENTIONALLY defending Kween so hard because of a hardcore bias and then making up stuff so you can write the whole situation off. Bussy Queen had a way better take on it. I agree that Pythia’s make up was not the best however she did literally have Nehellenia’s face which was awesome for the family resemblance. I think it was one of the fairest judged makeover challenges in RuPaul judging drag race history.
But is it something that we heard before? Definitely yes. The verse should be about your journey not just your skills. Tita, zymba and angel is the only one to do that.

I've been defending Kween but after this episode I just can't. 😭
Also, the non-Ru girls have been taking the riggory and critics very gracefully, and then you have Kitty and Kween.
Very disappointed of those two tbh.
I was also one of those who at the beginning of the season defended kween. Not anymore after this episode. She was just mean and rude to Nelly.
I wasn't defending her, but I was giving her some benefit of the doubt. The look in her eyes and her inability to let it go. She definitely revealed her unhealthy inexplicable anger at Nellie, insecurities. I hope Kween heals. If gossip is accurate she's been sabotaging herself like this with Aussie, Kiwi Queens and a queen from her DU season.I hope she breaks that cycle of anger.

I wholeheartedly agree. I LOVED Kween on her season and was so excited to see her back again. Kitty I did not really care for but she is very talented. However Kween has been behaving like a child and frankly a bully and so has Kitty. They are spoiled entitled brats. You have 3 wins each which are super questionable and the only girls leaving are the non Ru girls and Nehellenia has had an amazing season. The judging has been questionable at best and this season could have been so much better. I wonder if the rumors of Alyssa defending Nehellenia and getting into a huge fight with Kween are true? 🤔

I'm very confused by your commentary on the whole behind the scenes thing? Because the only queens that have spoken about it are Nelly... and then Soa who cleared up a few things which were taken out of context from Nellys live but she never denied the Kween/Alyssa fight happened nor that queens asked for her disqualification. We've also had non-verbal confirmation from Tessa & Athena openly saying Nelly was bullied during that episode. I truly do enjoy Mera's channel and have been for a long time, but I really can't get behind her review of Global all stars.
Are the fans taking it too far sometimes? Sure, 100%. But when people keep saying and saying that the show suffers from favoritism and some of the queen's behaviors are clearly uncomfortable and not okay, then something is going on, and ignoring it won't solve the issue.

Even if her drag is considered alternative in most of the drag scenes here in the states, it’s still based on the American aesthetic of “female illusion” or characterization. Disappointment by your take on the nelly/kween situation. Kweens (and kittys) treatment of Nelly the whole season has been off putting and yes, bullying. That’s what it means when you go after one person, continuously, unprovoked. It’s gross to see. I loved both kween & kitty before GAS, now I cannot say the same.
Also kittys lipsync was making me physically cringe, it was messy and meh, surprised she won with that performance but really I’m not surprised based on how this seasons favouritism is so obvious.
this whole season feels quite pre written in some moments. Of course they weren’t going to send kitty home, vanity’s lipsync this episode was fine also. I wasn’t floored by it but honestly I felt she performed the song better. But her fate was written already, having kitty in the bottom felt more for vulnerability (a trope we’ve seen before).

Mabuhay! Hi Mera and Scarlett! Not because I’m a Filipino but Drag Race Philippines Season 3 is my top, best and juiciest season this year, yet. They are the best representation of LGBTQIA+ community here in PH. Filipinos are sensitive, passionate, generally happy most of the time and family-oriented. I love how unique Angel’s representation of trans community, her unbreakable her bond is with Maxie and that’s the real thing. I relate with Maxie since we are both the eldest and the go-to person for the youngs.

If you look closely, it’s a carbon copy down to the same eyebrows, cut crease, etc. I do agree that Nellie should have put more foundation on Pythia in the beard area, but again, Nellie made her look like her sister. Kitty says it tongue in cheek, Kween came to set her wigs on fire. This wasn't shade, it came across as Heathers/Boogers nasty and she was trying to be the Reginia George. She's so much better than the character she has shown here. She has always come across as an honest but caring queen. I've read or watched nearly everything that we currently have on this whole 'behind the scenes' aspect (including some additional content that delves into this further) and it pretty much comes down to what isn't being said in responding (or not responding) to Nehellenia's comments. That said, I do think this revelation goes a long way to illustrate why many of the queens have refrained from participating in the larger dialogue thats been ongoing as a result of what we're seeing develop week to week and what the implications are.

I've stopped watching the GAS part cause it's a bit weird how much you agree with production's questionable choices and skimming over the drama, it's disappointing but I'll still watch your other reviews.
I mean, you can clearly see in the episode how the others were reacting to Kween's comment, expecially Pythia, then Athena basically tweeted out clearly that she felt Nehellenia was bullied, Tessa implied it and Soa went on live with Nehellenia herself and cleared out that Nehellenia was not lying but her words were taken out of context and twisted and that she should be more cautious bc the contract is still up, which means what Nehellenia said was true at least to an extent if she could face consequences for that.
The only one going against it is Kween and she's not even denying shit happened, she just added more context saying that there was more to it and that it's currently affecting her.
And her words kinda made it even worse bc first you repost ppl saying the season is full of favoritism implying it's against you, when you and Kitty are CLEARLY the one receiving it, then you say you went off like that against Nehellenia and Pythia bc of a comment that was about what RuPaul said on the runway (and what Ru said was VERY uncomfortable tbh, bc she basically said Soa needed Kween to be finally seen as a superstar) ?? That's not making your position better. And she kept going there even when other queens like Vanity and Alyssa were trying to de-escalate, ironically doing the same thing she accused Nehellenia of when they first fought in untucked: taking away the spotlight from queens enjoying their good performance and sucking the energy out of the room.
I really don't know how you can't grasp this when it comes to Kween and Nehellenia, either you're so biased against italian drag bc of one horrible season that left a bad taste in your mouth and that makes this behaviour acceptable in your eyes bc it's against Nehellenia or you're intentionally skewing the narrative and that's NOT the Mera I recognize from a lot of other instances where you were able to give a nuanced view and to call out shitty behaviour.
Kween or Kitty winning will be the cherry on top of one of the worst seasons ever 😂
I’ve watched your videos right from the start, even during some testing times youve had with certain guests, and they’ve always been some of the most interesting and non biased out there but somehow, you seem to have changed ever since the Paramount stuff came about.
It’s almost like you watch an entirely different show which is very, very sad !
There is a very big difference between being shady and straight out coming for someone personally and both Kween and Kitty have done this right from the start of the season. Not only have the come for Nelly in front of the others but they’ve also emphasized their views in their confessionals and I don’t recall one kind comment towards Nelly or her drag.
I guess there will now be another 2 week interval of no videos based on many of the comments challenging your views was happened after the last Nelly attack.
Even if it is an edit, Kween and Kitty (and everyone) have said these things and have given the editors that clips to use so they can’t deny saying them or the tone on which they were said
It’s sad overall because this could have been an exceptional season but the world has been introduced to some amazing queens and I wish them nothing but the best
I am sure both Kween and Kitty will come out of this OK and their careers will grow along with their own followers and supporters and hopefully, things will be ok for everyone

I agree, DRPH3 is one of those gold level seasons. And I hate that it’s about to end cause I really connectes with most of the queens. The episodes are longer than other franchises, and add Untucked to that, and yet it goes by in a flash. And I have to admit, I’ve teared up a few times while watching. Now I’d be happy for any of the top 4 to win, but I’m especially rooting for Khianna & Maxie. I love Tita Baby, but I doubt she’ll win. But being in the finale has elevated her; just too bad that all she won are mini challenges, but she still got 40K pesos, some validation and an experience of a life time.

I agree that Pythia’s make up was not the best however she did literally have Nehellenia’s face which was awesome for the family resemblance. I think it was one of the fairest judged makeover challenges in RuPaul judging drag race history.

It is different from other dramas because Nelly was not even defending herself when they came for her and it is not the first time . it’s fun to see the girl’s drama draming but when one of them is just being targeted for no reason and not being able to even formulate a reply, girl not cute
