@@ncbynovella Hello, will you be having another Q&A for hair growth? I really need help with my daughters hair growth. Any information I would be so grategul 🙏🏽
Hey sis! Not any time soon unfortunately. However I do offer live Q&A sessions in my private community. You can find out more details here:

@ Naturally Crowned By Novella which other oil can be used to pre-poo coconut oil dried her my daughter's hair?
It's easy to grow a young child's hair....it's when they turn 12 years old and don't want you to fuss in their hair and want 'styles'....and its a battle to stop the split ends.
Yes. That’s what happened to me. I insisted on getting a relaxer and proceeded to lose most of my hair for a few years…..
So true. It's actually really easy to grow a child's hair regardless of the curl type or texture as long as you are consistent. It when they get older and want to try all these heat styles, weave style and don't want to clip their ends. I was one of those kids lol I had long hair as a child but when I became a teen I wanted ADULT looking styles and I messed my hair up lol.talking I had to cut 10 inches off but I didn't care as long as It was relaxed BONE STRAIGHT.
very true, I’ve done almost the same method to my daughter’s hair && when she was 4 her hair was in the middle of her back.
💯
My hair started falling out after I turned 12. It took years to get it back to where my mom had it. It’s actually longer than it was when u I was a child.
Had to give a thumbs up for the realistic goal of five years. Some of these UA-camrs make videos about doing it in one week
😂😂, thank you!
😂😂😂
True grow your hair overnight😂😂😂😂
Can I just say that I love how kids are so quick to occupy themselves. I'm in the middle of the video and little mama is playing with the shower head and a toy and completely in her own world. I want to be unbothered just like little sis over here🤗
Aww thank you so much sis! Right, same here 😂😂
Great video as always sis. Now I see why my daughter hair is thriving. I follow your regimen and consistency since she was 2 years old now she’s 4 1/2 years old. Use the right products don’t become a product junkie and finally good nutrition is a plus as well.
Thank you so much sis! Whoop whoop 💃🏾💃🏾 I'm so happy that's the case. Yes that's right nutrition definitely plays an important role 👑
Don’t become a product junkie?! That’s something I’m working on. Lol. I love trying new products. 😊
Lol, see that's where I was different. I wasn't doing it for the love of it but more for "growing" my hair, "changing" my curl pattern etc 🤦🏾♀️
Naturally Crowned UK I was trying different diy’s to try to grow my hair. I did fenugreek diy, did it too much, caused protein overload and my hair fell out. That taught me that I need to just appreciate my hair’s length and texture. I went through a major setback and don’t want to go through that again.
That makes sense, when you know better you do better 🙌🏾 glad you're back on track.
Your hair routine resonated with me.
This is pretty close to how I would do my Childrens’ hair before I got busy with school and their hair thrived!
Now going back to basics.
Glad it did! Always the best way, let me know how you get on 👑
Beautiful hair! 👧🏾😍 Great job mama!
Thank you so much 👑
Beautiful video. The Beauty and art of natural hair 🥰
Aww thank you so much! right, natural hair is amazing :)
Pretty good hair cute
I loved it when you said that products don't grow your hair, they only helps with length retention and the maintenance of hair.
Thanks for that. 💞
Aww you're welcome sis! Thanks for watching 👑
I have a set of twins with different grades of hair. The older one’s hair is down to her back. The other one’s hair stops at her shoulders. I would really love for her hair to get longer because I know it’s something she wants. I’m definitely going to try your way. Thanks for the video and you do such a good job with your little one. I love it🙌🏽❤️
Aww thanks so much sis, please let me know how you get on 👑
Remember one twin takes more nutrients from the other in the womb. Is the one with long hair bigger, taller, less prone to illnesses or a bigger eater? If the answer is yes to any of these then you've identified why one has long hair and why one doesn't. Good luck 🙂
Go natural for that ones hair. If she's not allergic to these ingredients its guaranteed to work.
Shampoo:
- 1 yellow onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 tbs of rosemary, clove, or lavender depending on what is accessible. This is OPTIONAL but helps target treat.
- 1 inch piece of black soap. This is OPTIONAL.
- 3 TO 6 tbs of honey
- 2 to 3 cups of water.
Chop onion into big pieces. Take the flat part of the knife and crush garlic and onion. Let sit for 10-15 minutes. Bring water to boiling point and add onions and garlic. Boil till translucent. Turn off heat and add herbs IF desired. This will work just fine without optional ingredients. Let stand for additional 10 minutes then add honey. The drier the hair the more honey.
Once mixture is cool strain and apply to hair. Leve in for at least 15 minutes but the longer the better. It's also safe to drink and taste good if you don't put black soap. Very healthy too. NO it doesn't taste super garlicky or oniony. NOR does it smell after you rinse it out.
Conditioner/deep conditioner
- coconut cream or milk, depending on the dryness, cream for supper thick or dry hair.
- banana puree. I use Gerber.
- 3 to 6 tbsp of honey
To make it a deep conditioner soak 1/2 cup of oats in coconut milk, water or cream for 1 to 2hrs then strain the liquid. Or you can simply blend then strain.
Mix together and apply to hair for at least 30 minutes to overnight depending on if you are doing a deep conditioning or not. To make it a protien treatment (once a month) add liquid amino acids. Looks like soy sauce. Add 1-2 tbs for 30 minutes.
This conditioner works best on dry or damp hair, if not it will turn really watery, just a heads up.
Also we like to save a bit of the mixture to put in a blender with ice to make a smoothie some times adding a tbs of vanilla and it tastes sooo good.
Rinse OPTIONAL. But helps seal and define and adds shine as well as kill fungal growth.
- 1tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 cup of water or coconut water
- 3 tbs of aloe vera OPTIONAL.
mix and massage into hair and rinse.
You can keep it simple and dont do any of the OPTIONAL or do some or all.
Important to finish with a good sealant like castor oil or grease. If you use grease or petroleum you must use store bought shampoo 1st then the others.
Try this for 2 to 4 weeks doing these once a week and tell us how it went.
If you want to know what each ingredient does let me. I have over 15 years researching government experiments with each ingredient and it along with prayer cured my daughter of an incurable scalp condition. So I vouch for it. Stay blessed on your journey.
Your daughter is so cute! She was so poised even as a one year old 😍🙌🏼
Aww you're too kind, thank you! 👑

I have the exact same regime for my son, his hair were tail bone back length at age 4, we cut it this year March into a small fro, but it’s back at mid back length
Oh wow amazing! Thanks for sharing sis 👑
Great upload sweet .I joined your Channel your princess's hair is so beautiful rich. I humbly will suggest a satín pillow for the kids instead of satín bonnet . So that their scalp can Breathe fresh air. Except when they ve a Style to keep, or maintain for a function or for an event. And satín bonnet for adults to keep Styles in shape .Etc Thank you for sharing 👍
Thank you! Satin bonnets are fine for them as they only wear it for bed and not the whole day, so their scalp gets air. 👑
Your are so gentel with your baby girl hair❤❤
Aww thank you so much! 👑
Wow is real ! African hair can get lenght just with good care
It sure can! Black hair grows 🙏🏾
Beautiful thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much, and thanks for watching 👑
Absolutely, I watch another video where you said you treat your hair like your baby. I completely agree and do the same thing❣️
@@AlishasTestimony ah yes! Glad you agree. It's the best way sis 👑
Growing long hair is extremely hard and almost impossible if you don't want to keep your hair wet and keep your hair in protective styles. I like my hair to be dry ( not dried out, but not wet).
Growing long hair isn't hard at all, I don't keep my daughters hair wet (that's damaging to the hair) and her hair isn't kept in a protective style (only for school) on the weekends I take her hair out.
im jealous im 15 and her hair is longer than mine 😹
Aww don't be! With the right regime and consistency your hair can easily retain amazing lengths 😊
Dont be , follow a steady routine and u can have yours longer too
Lol im 35 and her hair longer than mine😂
Hi I’m new to your channel. Thanks for great content.
Hey sis! Welcome to the family 👑. You're welcome and thanks for watching.
Where did you get the bonnet for your daughter? I’ve bought so many bonnets for my 4 year old and they are either too loose or too tight. I’ve even bought adjustable bonnets. She doesn’t mind wearing it, but it doesn’t stay on.
Hey sis, aww that's annoying. Unfortunately the lady I purchase from no longer makes or sells bonnets. I'll update you when I find another seller.
Can you pls explain the first method that you use to retain moisture in your child’s hair? I’m only familiar with the LOC method. I thank you in advance for your feedback.
Sure, please check out the below free guide. I explain the LCO method in detail:

Hey Novela . What is first hair mask? Or shampoo ? Thank you
Hey Silmara, sorry I'm not sure I understand your question. First hair mask or shampoo?
Hallo Novela, thanks for the video. Do you pre poo her hair with an oil every time you wash her hair? What's her hair porosity?
Hey Rita, You're welcome! yes I pre poo with an oil every wash days :)
@@ncbynovella what is her hair porosity ?
Great video 🥰
Thanks so much sis 👑
My baby is 9 months old and her hair is falling out in chunks which has caused baldness in the front and the sides. She was born with a full head of hair, what do you suggest I should do? Is it a good idea to put her hair in protective style or I should let her be and make sure her hair is moisturized? Please help. And she gets bumps on her scalp when I do protective style.
Their hair falling out at that age is normal. Let it be for now.
Some people shave that hair off. Mine was shaved off when I was a child. I have always had long hair. Not sure if there's a correlation.
Do a allergen test, find out her porosity, make sure she doesn’t have any inflammation or scalp infection usually caught at school or daycare, if she is high porosity her hair loves protein and moisture, if it’s low porosity it loves moisture and Lco method for both types. Rosemary lavender and tea tree treats inflammation and infection
Hey please where did you get your satin bonnet? Thanks
Hey sis! From etsy online 👑
Thanks for the Video
You're welcome sis!
Products used?
Do you clarify her hair everytime you pree poo ie every two weeks?
No, once a month
Thanks. Can you do a video on hair products you use on your daughter/ children's hair?
@@ritalopes3158 Yeah sure, I'll add that to my list :)
How do you trim her hair? Do you go to professionals?
Can I ask where you bought the stool in the bath pls. My daughters are 8 and 11 yrs old and they don't like sitting directly in the bath to wash their hair, plus its uncomfortable for me too in terms of posture. Would appreciate your help xx
Hey sis, yes sure. The stool has been a game changer for me and my children. They sit on a stool and so do I when I'm washing their hair and like you mentioned my posture is so much better. Here's the link, I get it from amazon: amzn.to/3IeSJGa
Thank you so much ❤❤ i have ordered the stool. This should promote our wash day, as that's the only part my girls & I find uncomfortable and a put off. Much love for the work you do❤😘🙏
You're welcome! Aww amazing, please let me know how you get on sis 👑
beautiful mane
Thank you so much!
This video is somewhat helpful I just wish you would provide the hair products .. kinda feels like your leaving that out and parents like me would like to know
Hey sis, the focus of this video was to explain how I was able to retain my daughters length and not so much on products (as you know products don't grow hair). If you look at my videos where I'm moisturising or washing my children's hair, I always show the products I use and list them in the description box. Please check those videos out 👑
Thanks for the video 😊 but i have a question my daughter don't like bonnet can she also sleep on satin pillow or is bonnet really important ?
You're welcome sis, thanks for watching. That's fine, a satin/silk pillow case or fitted sheet will work just as well 👑
@@ncbynovella Thanks sis i love your videos i learn so much from God bless you keep it up 🙏🏽😊
@@Bella-xp4ri Aww amazing!! I'm so glad to hear that 🙏🏾

Whoop whoop 🎉, welcome to the family!! 👑
Someone can write down what she is using please
When did you start deep conditioning your daughters hair? I'm thinking to start deep conditioning my little girl hair when she turns one.
I started deep conditioning when she was 2 years old 👑
Good day ma’am! I have a question, I have a 2 year old with baldness on the sides of her hair and little hair in the middle. Do you suggest I cut her hair and start all over or just leave it
No need to cut her hair sis, what's important is that you find out what is causing the balding and then put a regime together that will help with length retention.
I know the alopecia can be a factor but I just found out that some of my hair thinning issues came from allergies. Gluten in particular. That may be something to look into as well sis.
hello novela I have a question again which brush do you recommend on fine strands hair type for a child ?
If I'm protein sensitive, can I still pre-poo with coconut oil or should I use an alternative? My hair type is 4a/ 4b.
Coconut oil is not a protein treatment. One of the benefits of coconut oil as a pre poo, is that it helps prevents protein loss. If your hair doesn't like coconut oil you could try olive or avocado oil 👑
@@ncbynovella ohh, okay! Thank you for clarifying this for me! 😃👑🙌🏼✨
