When I was a kid I desperately wanted this toy. I was also a huge fan of the incredible Hulk TV series, watching it religiously and playing with my school buddies. I was always Bruce Banner/Hulk, not because I was a big kid, but because I have green eyes and they came into play well when I was "transforming" into the Hulk. I'm 53 years young and I still want this piece. You did an amazing job restoring the box. Congratulations!
Long time viewer of the channel. This is my first response to one of your videos. Thank you for all the wonderful videos you've posted, taking me back to all the fun toys from my childhood.

Fantastic job on restoring the box! I'm a life-long Hulk fan who has since gone on to draw several Hulk comics for Marvel UK, and one of my favourite childhood memories is the Christmas I got this (I also had the Space Ranger Action Man and Gargon that year as well!). I was always gutted that the Thing version wasn't released over here, as the battles that I could have had with those two! 😃 Thank you for posting this video... it's brought back some awesome childhood memories 👍

Excellent restoration video! Even though I have worked with cardboard and cardstock since childhood, I have NEVER attempted to restore old toy packaging. Most of the time, I would cut out the pictures on the box to either hang up in my room or use as materials for another build.
Again, your video is Just beautiful!

Man, the Smash-Out Handcuffs are actually pretty ingenious. A simple addition that makes the play feature noticeably better. I can see kids spending all weekend finding things for Hulk to smash as he bursts the handcuffs. Great vid as always!

Great job on the box Tony. I've done lots of vintage box restoration work and when it comes to the ironing process, I use brown baking paper instead of a tea towel, it works perfectly, allows more heat in to flatten it and will not allow any sticking of the iron. I also spray cold water from a spray gun directly onto the inside of the cardboard, it won't harm it if you're ironing it straight away through the baking paper. Lastly, if you have less severe ripped parts inside, I suggest using brown water activated tape to shore it up. It's perfect for the job of reinforcing old boxes and it's the same colour as the inside of the box too, so is perfect, particularly if you're doing the flaps where you will see the new card applied when you're opening it. Everyone has a method to this and there is no wrong or right way, but that above after about 30 box restos is the way I've now found works best.
Great video, box restos really are a favourite of mine to watch, something cool about seeing an old tatty 50 year old piece of cardboard come back to life.

Love Hulk - he was my fayv go to hero character back in the day, too! Something about the Bronze age and the toy merch that went with it gives me the warm fuzzies. The whole superhero to toy market was so clunky, and hadn't been streamlined and corporatised yet.
