Let's sign De Ligt and move on from Yoro. It' clear his heart is set on joining Madrid where he's more likely to win La liga and the Champions league, We United are not there yet, no hard feelings. We need two CBs and I fear that if we disrespect De Ligt by focusing on Yoro them we will end up with neither. De Ligt actually wants to come to United, Uoro doesn't.

I have literally never cared about pre season results. If we get a big result against a big team bonus, if we had got hammered 4 by Rosenberg slight alarm bells but otherwise literally who the fuck cares. Lol Owen is 100% right here.

that's why that report makes no sense. Varane would have accepted one more season as he seemed to enjoy life in England with his family. Plus there have been reports about Lindelof being sold, is Maguire a United player for life now?!
While a agree nothing should be judged on preseason games I am curious about when people think is a fair time to judge. If for example we don't start the season well and similar failings appear as last season when would questions have to be asked? If Owen argues that we should have been taking ten Hag's first season into account when assessing his second then surely we should account for his second when doing the same this season.
We played the kids in the second half and only 3 first team players in the first half. We will not see any of the euro and Copa lads till mid pre season. Relax

Pre season only matters to people when the team plays well. Overalll though, the key to analysing pre season is not getting too hot or cold but increase in scrutiny as pre season progresses.
In terms of overall review, it all depends on what narrative you lean towards as none of us have the same views on injuries, recruitment, tactics and where the ultimate responsibility for failure/success lies. There's no right answer at this point.

6 of the starting 11 arent first team and then the other 11 that came on were also not part of the first team. So 27% were first team squad of that team. Then of that 5 senior players Evans, Mount, AWB arent starters and Casemiro is well not that good to control games
So what are you judging that pre-season game on? 17 youth players vs a full experienced team that have played 15 games of their season already
