This figure looks like it was executed really well. Gym rat Groot just doesn’t appeal enough to me personally for me to pick it up. I’m happy with the Love and Thunder wave Groot figure I own. I try to limit myself on how much MCU stuff I pick up. I tend to lean more towards comic and cartoon based figures because they are more timeless to me. This figure does look great especially for what it represents.

I’m wondering if the addition of the wings is what pushed Groot from BAF to single deluxe figure? 🧐🤷♂️
The usual case pack out is 2x Main, 6x 1 Supporting w/ BAF. Quill has no BAF, but it still seems weird that we get a six piece Build a DOG instead of the villain (like WF’s Attuma) or other large cast member. Like this new buff Groot.
As for Baby Rocket, it’s clear we’re getting flashback scenes of his origin. Beyond that, we know his significant otter Llyra/Lylla is in the film, too.
And most of the human cast is leaving the MCU after this movie. This cgi cast can be replaced by new voice actors.
Flying Trees are the stuff of nightmares! Marky Mark and the woman from New Girl were right!

Finally a physique to match the character’s voice actor. Honestly. I have opened all these Guardians. The Hasbro effort is fine. It’s a C+ for the group as a whole when it comes to the offering. Short on accessories. The paint is okay. The reuse is okay. Granted the movie designs may have been restrictive too. The overall look of the team is a B+. So I’m not unhappy to have them. They will modified and accessorized by my previous Guardians figures. Grout is a big boy. I’m sure his poppa Groot would be proud. I think his brown is a bit too warm in hue. I would have liked the gun slinging tentacles in addition to the wings. I’m going to find some Agent Venom tentacles to see if those will work when painted. I think the wings will be part of the film. Groot may be a tad too tall in scale too. It’s a good fig.

When I first heard that there was going to be a Groot figure I wasn't interested as I had a Groot. Then I saw this Figure and I knew I would have to get him too. This is a Full Power Groot! So yeah, I'll pay a little more for him!

Not movie accurate doesn't look like wood...when is wood shiney? Looks nothing like them trailer where are the extra gun holding limbs?
