I played one of these today in a music shop. It played exceptionally well and sounded beautiful acoustically. Plugged in, it rang out perfectly.
The built-in effects were amazing. I've been playing for 52 years and tried hundreds of instruments. This was one of the best I've ever come across.
All this from someone who doesn't like jumbo guitars...

I'd like to say how much I love my LLTA, identical to yours. And really appreciated Yamaha as a company. I purchased mine a few years back when they first came out and loved it but after a few months an annoying vibration started inside where the battery pack sits. I had a dealer try to fix it a couple time but wasn't satisfied. I call Yamaha Canada, they had it shipped to them fixed it and sent it back, no charge. But in shipping across the country a very very small crack started on the top just beside the neck about 2" long. I told Yamaha about this and they simple shipped me a brand new LLTA, no charge, no scrabble.
    Best guitar I own.

I thought in my eleven years of playing guitar that I would never ever buy a Yamaha. I never gave them a look or even considered trying one because I thought that their product was...well...shit. I have owned Larrivée, Martin, Taylor, Guild 12 string, Breedlove, Stonebridge all high end American made guitars. Then I went out and purchased this one just on the basis of seeing these videos. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with this guitar, the overall construction, quality of the materials, and most of all the sound of it. Incredible!! Most of all the other aforementioned guitars are no longer in my arsenal of guitars. I only have the Stonebridge and the Yamaha left.
If you are looking to buy a new guitar that is constructed of all solid wood body for a great price, then I highly recommend you at least give this guitar a try. I don't think that you will be disappointed.

I got on with the aged spruce top. I’ve played guitar for over 20 years, owned martins and Taylor. I’m confident in saying that no guitar player would be disappointed in anything about this guitar. Its obvious they spent a lot of time on fit and finish. It’s shines like no guitar I’ve owned. The neck is super smooth. And when you press that button it takes you to another world. I get lost in this guitar like no other. It plays so easy and that chorus and reverb really surround you when playing. You have to hear it in person to really appreciate what it does

As a guitar teacher I used the same Taylor from 2003 until 2017... during which time had body repairs and a re fret.... I always loved the sound of that guitar.. That was until I bought Yamaha trans acoustic ta in March 2018.....Simply amazing... I was hooked from the day that I tried it out in the store.... Now I can't be without it

Great review. I bought one of these in March and it has been truly awesome. I pretty much always play with one of the effects engaged because it sounds so good. It doesn't sound bad without by any means but the reverb especially just brings everything to life.

Good demo - I tried one today (December 28th 2017) at Kenny's Music in Aberdeen and could quite happily have spent the afternoon playing it. Basic build quality of the guitar is excellent with a well made guitar (it is a Yamaha after all), easy to play with good action, feel etc. Using the add-in "effects" was a revelation and I can relate to / confirm with claims made in the video. I play in church and at small house-group evenings where this guitar could be very effective. Did not try out the guitar plugged in to an amp ....

O que eu acho fantástico nesse violão: madeira do tampo, fundo e laterais é maciça. Ou seja, ele é 100% maciço! E a tecnologia transacoustic leva ele a um nível não alcançado por outros.
What I think is fantastic about this guitar: the wood on the top, bottom and sides is solid. That is, it is 100% solid! And transacoustic technology takes it to a level not reached by others.

I read all the comments and watched all the reviews on this guitar before I bought one. One of the things I notice about these guitar reviews is that almost nobody doing the reviews has a really negative thing to say about the guitar they are reviewing. Are they being paid for the review and not "biting the hand that feeds them"?
I own Taylor and a cheap Martin guitars. I was in a guitar store trying different guitars and I was really impressed by a Yamaha guitar that was only about $400. Sound and the action was incredible!
Any way after the glowing reviews and comments I bought one of these LLTAs. Unfortunately I never was able to actually play one before the purchase since none of the dealers had one of these in stock. The guitar arrived at the dealer and I took it out to play it and the first thing that surprised me was that the strings were all loose, some requiring many turns of the tuning keys to get in tune. When I played it, the first thing I noticed was an incredible and very noticeable buzz on the A string when playing a simple C chord. It was very very noticeable and needless to say I returned the guitar before every taking it home and listening to TA.
Now I just read that Yamaha sets up all guitars before they leave the factory and are play ready. Hard to believe when some of the strings were un strung. And who knows if it left the factory that way how long it stayed in a warehouse without proper tension on the strings. Possibly the neck twisted from uneven tension on the strings ( a few strings had some tension on them, most had little)?
I was real leery of purchasing any guitar without actually playing the guitar I was purchasing, I have had similar experience buying a Taylor in the box, when the demo one I played was different I found out. That guitar I returned to the store and bought the demo guitar and it was fine and a nice guitar.
Bottom line, no more purchase guitars, sight unseen! I don't care about all the hype about reputation! If I can't play the actual guitar I am going to purchase, I won't buy it.

Sounded brilliant but yeah... reminded me of a Fender Tbucket that gave me back trouble from playing... so, I got a epiphone hummingbird and a tonewood amp instead... I like this better because the better neck on this and the lsta dont have delay as an effect either plus the whole thing was half the money.

The LL-TA is all solid woods, solid Engeimann spruce A.E.R top, with solid rosewood back and sides, with a mahogany and rosewood 5 ply neck , whereas the FG-TA has solid spruce top with laminated mahogany back and sides, and a nato neck. All things considered the LL-TA has a remarkable high spec for the price. Plus it comes with a case; the FG-TA doesn't. If you can, find a store to try them both out. That was a pretty terrible demo of this guitar. He's making it seems like the guitar is dead without the effects. It's actually quite the opposite, it's a great sounding guitar with sustain for days.
Deliberately playing 0.2 seconds of a note/chord without effects and saying it's dead, then soaking the thing with both chorus and reverb to show you the worst possible output from the TA effects.
If you get a chance to play one of these, you'll see just how bad this review is.

Sorry, I have to disagree. The video was titled “review,” not “demo.” As a professional guitarist with four decades of concert performing experience, there was much I learned from his explanations that could never be inferred from only hearing him play the instrument. For example, who would know about the battery in the end pin? The reverb could be taken for an electronically produced effect, say from a pedal, rather than from Yamaha’s technology. There are features of the instrument so new as not to be commonplace. Anyone wishing to buy this instrument would certainly want to know what’s behind the sound in addition to the sound itself. Very informative to those wishing to learn about the instrument.
