That was definitely Rhodie. People keep forgetting that Rhodie is and always has been a company man.
The Skrull game has become sort of ridiculous. Eric Voss said Sonya could be a skrull who is not on Gravik's team, I was like "did you see what she did to that poor dude? Suffice to say, she does not need to prove her identity." Apart from making jokes and not arresting Fury, Rhodes also told Fury his suit is made of titanium so it keeps him safe. This is an argument against the idea the suit was a waste of money but it also assures Fury that no can hide in the shadows and shoot him and succeed.
Yeah, but still something about Rhodey firing Fury it just doesn’t add up
People don't like to believe it's Rhodey because he spoke the harsh truth.

I actually don`t agree. The thing about Rhodey is Rhodey`s the establishment company man obsessed with National Security over the Constitutional rights of citizens Fury used to be before SHIELD was infiltrated by HYDRA, also hanging out with Tony for so long made him extremely intolerant of hedonistic, adventurous bullshit and for all their differences Nick and Tony very much had that adventurous, anti-heroic spirit in common.
It was a great episode, and I really enjoyed it. Gravik trusts no one and hates everyone, but he still has to work with other Skrulls to achieve his goals. Nick Fury's interaction with Talos and Rhodey in this episode was a lot of fun, and he's one of my favorite parts of the series. The action scene at the butcher shop was pretty impressive. Overall, I really enjoyed the twists and turns of this series. Who would you trust? Without a doubt, Sonya Falsworth is one of the most reckless and funny women you'll ever meet. There is a lot of political paranoia in this show, and I find it very interesting.
Besides seeking to provide a home for his people, I think Gravik hates Nick Fury in particular and wants to make him suffer. I think we’ll learn in future episodes that Gravik and Fury had a kind of father-son rapport when Gravik was younger and Gravik felt abandoned when Fury blipped+went to SABER
I deadass am enjoying the very serious side of the MCU here. It was fun watching Gods, the Multiverse, the Quantum Realm and other things post-Endgame. But, it was quite nice seeing something that reminded me of Captain America: Civil War (aka the BEST MCU movie).
What a damn great episode. I don't know if whether or not I liked this episode more or liked the first episode more.
Yes, it's not as flashy as typical MCU content (which "fans" ironically complained about), but I'm still digging the meaty elements of this show.
The tense discussion between Rhodey and Fury, as a Black man in America, was *chef's kiss* Damn, I LOVED it. I also really loved the tense conversation between Talos and Fury on the train. Have I mentioned that this episode was tense?
Kingsley Ben-Adir as Gravik? The more I see him onscreen, is shaping out to be a damn great villain. I know people will be disappointed that no big names are revealed to be Skrulls now, but I think the fact that World Leaders and political analysts are scheming behind the scenes is much more topical to right now.
Olivia Colman during the torture/interrogation scene was delightfully charming and disturbing. I'm liking her vibe in the show/universe. That twist at the end??? Holy hell! Fury is married to a Skrull!?!?!? WHAT!?!?!?
Honestly, if the show keeps up its pace, it'll be up there with Loki and WandaVision and Moon Knight for best MCU Disney Plus show.
Can't wait for next week!

Except that THIS "old" man is not the Fury that we've seen from Avengers. THIS old man is tired and worn out. He's NOT getting to Rhodie. Especially not when chances are extremely high that he's wearing War Machine on him at this very second. I doubt very much that tony would give himself and Peter Nano-tech suits and NOT make a War Machine Nano-tech. Rhodie's watch is probably where he keeps his armor. lol I don't really know that for certain, but it's more than likely he can just put the suit on at any moment. Hell, He's walking, so maybe his exoskeletal leg enhancers have the armor inside them. I mean sure fury can still probably take out a security guard or two, but take out Rhodie??? Not very likely at all. He couldn't even help Hill.

Thor lost his eye in Ragnorok but in Infinity War, he got an electronic one and after Endgame, it felt like it never happened. By Love and Thunder, we can assume his eye got fixed. I would not be surprised if it is a similar situation with Rhodes. Perhaps, they never intended to paralyse Rhodey for the rest of his time in the MCU.
