It's such a good video from beginning to end! You both work so well together, the cumroderey and interactions with other sellers watching each others backs make it easier and less stressful when dealing with the public! Great beginning for the start of the new flea market season! I wish you continued success this this year. Catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
Great items! I usually spray musty items down with vinegar and let sit a day or 2. The vinegar smell leaves and takes musty moldy smell with it. Also kills mold.
This was so enjoyable to watch. I loved the whole process and watching how you guys and all the vendors buy things to sell one another, fun friendships. The closing bake light bit was sweet. 😘
Re cloudy glass, I did a look up, according to the spruce, soak in white vinegar for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm soapy water. If cloudy doesn’t come off, apparently it is permanent.
Alright, gotta go out, but will gladly watch the rest of this most fascinating video later. Really like the ceiling light fixtures and the chair! Good thing I’m in 🇨🇦 because if I was any closer, I would probably spend a bit of money at your flea market. We call them flea market or swap meets here. Kelly/Kellie? You loved that little rabbit made in Japan. It is definitely cute. You are both very laid back and it’s relaxing to watch you work well together.
i always rub bakelite till its warm and do the sniff test.. it stinks .. we find alot of these back scratchers in the uk 1970s . just found your channel and in awe of the finds you get ..so much of it too
I didn’t know that! Thanks for the tip and for checking out our channel. I was surprised (and a little disappointed) those back scratchers weren’t Bakelite.
Wow! That was informative and fun! Thanks for taking to time with your video! Always impressed in the care you take with your business! Here's to a fab reselling season!!🎉🎉
The brass clips themselves ARE gloves. I think that's what was meant. I was wishing you had used a knife to empty the bank! That's how I used to empty mine, as a kid. Insert a knife or other thin strip and you can make the coins come out of the slot. Your light fixture mounts with one hole in them would make amazing stands for crystal or stone balls or paperweights.
love love love this video!!! well you have an amazing selection of items! I remember a while back didn't you buy two of those red shade lamps? I think those would be so awesome in someone's tattoo parlor!! They're Gothic yet Art Nouveau yet very punk!! Also I sold a very large piece of artwork kind of like that zodiac. I wasn't sure if you realize but UPS will package it all for you. I think that is very valuable.!!
Alright. You two and your channel are my new guilty pleasure. I watched it with earbuds in at work today. I watched it in the car. And now I’m in bed with popcorn no less, watching your channel. It’s like finding my tribe. I hope your channel explodes with watchers- it’s that fun and great! Do you do this full time? Great editing on the videos and I love when you add awesome music. Just terrific!
Ha! This is so nice to hear! Thank you. We have a lot of fun doing it. Melissa is full time and I am in the summer. I teach ten months out of the year.
Wow your flea market must be expensive, most of what I see at that market from your videos would be about 1/3to1/2 of those cost and I'm in Washington State boarding Portland Oregon. I just bought that glove holder for$25 at a antique shop in my town and its really nice and old.so I guess prices very from place to place but seem to tap out in the east rather high.I never thought you would have to pay like eBay prices at a flea market or a garage sale but seems to be compared to all the time I did all this before on line sales and things were cheap.I'm glad I'm done decorating my mid century home cuz I couldn't do it today at the prices.
Hi Ladies-Really enjoyed this video from beginning to end😉🥰! I love the eclectic variety of amazing treasures; just a bummer that I’m 1300 miles away🥴🙁! I so so wanted to go shopping, especially since your prices are very reasonable. I am a reseller in Sioux Falls, SD and I specialize in Fine Art and Dog and Cat themed anything and everything. I was drooling over all the cat paintings, the mini fruit ptg, the colorful portrait, etc. etc.🥰🥰🥰! I hope this is ok to ask, would you two ever consider an online shopping trip for a long distance buyer?? If you have more mini to small original art and dog and cat items, I would be very interested to see them. I would completed understand if this isn’t something you’d have time for; as I know from 20+ years in this business, it’s incredibly time consuming🤨😱!! I hope that you are able to do more of these Flea Market prep videos. Again, it was quite enjoyable from start to finish😉🥰‼️ One last thing-I’m sure you are probably already aware, but I thought I should pass it along just in case. Half dollars that are pre-1971 have real silver so they are worth more than face value. Be sure to check the coins dates before you decide to sell. Anyway, I’ve rambled on for far too long🥴🥴. Keep doing what you’re doing-Just Love Your Content🥰‼️Best Regards-Antique Ang
Thanks so much for posting this comment! We can definitely keep you in mind if we find these things. If you see something in a video you like please reach out. We’ve had viewers want something and we’ve sent it to them. I wondered about potential silver in the coins but then forgot about it so thank you for reminding me of this. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks!
Since they didn't sell at the first flea, we ended up using the one that was already open in our home - sometimes the answer is right in front of your nose!
Wow it’s a lot of work I’ve been doing this buying selling trading collecting 40 years I will be 70 yrs young lol February getting tired need to sell my whole hoard and go on vacation yes yes yes. Competition is crazy everybody has stuff stuff stuff.
Vintage curtains and fabrics have been getting VERY very hard to sell because a lot of NEW companies are making "vintage look" patterns . It's infuriating as so much stuff is getting reproduced . I'd not over price those curtains--not in a flea market setting anyway. . 27:41 The "flower power" patterns don't sell as well as classic 1940s & 1950s "elegant' patterns. Generally . They ( Flower Power / Brady Bunch loud patterns) are also much easier to find "in the wild". It's one of the few things that can still be had in thrift stores and yard sales ..and estate sales. Towels , linens , etc.
Do you think you can tone down the negative comments pls? Not sure if you’ve noticed but every comment you make on our videos is how we shouldn’t sell something. Kind of an unnecessary downer.
Just an observation on vintage fabrics sales on Ebay . I suspect Etsy takes away a partial part of the market as well. And it's generally true: the "Loud Brady Bunch fabrics " are easier to find in the wild. I see them all the time. Just sayin from experience. I have been buying and selling since the 1980s. @@earthlydelights
Your prices were right on the money. I enjoyed pricing right along with you. Do your due diligence with the jewelry. Costume jewelry can be worth some doe, ray, me. Some books I can recommend are, “Monet The Master Jewelers, “Costume Jewelry” Judith Miller, Smithsonian “Gem, The Definitive Visual Guide”, “Hattie Carnegie Jewelry”. These books are really wonderful and visually stunning. It will give you a better appreciation for the craftsmanship and various styles throughout the last century. Be well.

i tried, but couldn't get them out... maybe I don't have the skills or patience. Once I realized it was already broken and repaired and that there are a lot of similar ones listed on ebay, I was done.
Yay!!!! Flea market season, that means more Great video's..Always enjoy them..!!!😊
Thanks for taking us along on your first flea market extravaganza, that was so much fun! You two are killin' it!

I just found your channel yesterday and I've been binge watching your videos. Just wanted to say I've been delighted. Keep making great content!
Thanks so much! Glad you’re enjoying our videos!
Denture tablets work wonders on glass.. 🎉 amazing items ❤
Re cloudy glass, I did a look up, according to the spruce, soak in white vinegar for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm soapy water. If cloudy doesn’t come off, apparently it is permanent.
Thanks! I’ll definitely try that on the next one. I decided to put it out as is and it sold.
This was such a fun video! Love how the two of you work so well together. Enjoyed the Bakelite demonstration at the end ❣️
Try some charcoal 3or4 of the barbecue squares works good for the woodbox.
Wish I had someone to do eBay with me and cheer me on too. You guys are lucky for sure to have each other!

Hey gals! I am back for 2nd viewing. So impressive the depth of your inventory, I learn all the time seeing your treasures.
Hey there. Welcome back! 😊
For cloudy glass especially the swung vases I use the denture tablets that fizz!!!! Soak for at least over nite for a clean inside.😊
Use at least one to three tablets depending on size.
Thanks for the tip!
Thank you!
I’m excited to see your video on the paranormal event you felt. You are definitely open and I believe you completely
I’m a fan
Thanks. I’m hoping I can capture what was felt.

This is an awesome video…..great filming, great detail…..I really enjoyed watching this. Thank you.
Thank you! So glad to hear.
Vinegar will take the cloud off of glass, just let it soak a little bit in white vinegar and it should take care of it
I could be wrong, but I think those funny shoes with springs are called moon shoes
Loved the video. What a fun day you had.
Thanks! It was super fun.
Very nice job on the first flea market! 😊
Thanks!

We had those jump shoes in the 60s.
Yep , still guessing. Good game.
i just opened a shed I hadn't opened in a while and found more lids! Maybe they will fit the bins that i couldn't find a match for.

I enjoy it very much when you are selling the interaction is fascinating 😊 more then when you are picking sorry 😊
I want that box of oddities...hands +mask. I think it may be too groovy for fleamarket

Melissa here - thanks for the kind words and for watching. Also thanks for the tip about the coins. - I'll check those dates!
1:13:00 he made a great choice! good to behold.
@@everlyfrizzell6690 thanks for inspiring me to go back and watch this part. I’m assuming you referring to the hat. I think it worked on him too.
Best way I find to clean cloudy glass is soaking it overnight with denture cleaner works 80 percent of the time. I have had success with this method.
Love love love those curtains,

Newspaper and in the sun would help with the smell
For your cloudy glass throw in a denture tablet and water and let it soak overnite
Hold wood stacks
Oh my gosh I love the art work…. Both the tile and the canvas……
I love your style, is it difficult to work out how much profit you make?

I appreciate you saying this with the jewelry. It’s a good reminder to not rush selling it. Thanks so much for books recs def going to check them out!
Are you ladies still selling on eBay??
Yes we are. Not quite as much as we used to but it goes in waves.
Hello , I'm from the UK, and just discovered you on u tube . Enjoyed your video so much I subribed for more .You both work so hard, do you sell on etsy ? Xx
Thanks so much! Glad to hear you enjoyed the video. No we just sell on eBay and at flea markets at this time.
👍
Do you still have the dog wall hanging
@@toddlewis5339 so sorry it sold but thanks for inquiring and watching.
You should offer some kind of a bag don’t you think???
A shopping bag? Sorry wasn’t sure what you mean. We offer them but sometimes run out.

Your Prices are Ridiculous
Please be nice but do you mean too high or too low? Every area is different for pricing.
I thought they were too high for a flea market. I’m used to the good old days where things were .25 to no more than 5 😅
