@@sinistercinemareviews5420 I definitely recommend it, its got that mockumentary style to it and everything which I love personally in The Office and Parks and Rec too
The cameos by Peter, Roger and Tom Savini from the original are great! Also the CGI helicopter in the beginning of the film is supposed to be the one from the original. Really looking forward to Army! Awesome review as always !!!!
Seiferboy Gaming when they first make it to the mall and there all watching the tv. Peter says his famous line from the original and Roger is a military official
I liked it a lot. It seemed like what a resident evil film should’ve been. Only thing I didn’t like was the Russian girl giving birth to a zombie baby. Lol 🥴
It would be awesome if Zack manages to pull a Shyamalan with Army Of The Dead. Knowing his style of storytelling I wouldn't put it passed him to do it.
Always loved this movie, never seen original so I dont know if this does it justice or not, but characters are so likeable and I have a good time with it
So glad you reminded me of this one. Saw it in the theater and was unimpressed. I dont know why....it is NOT like I remember. Very well done film. Great review!
Jason saw this movie in theaters at age 11, and it gave me zombie nightmares for a while. Great film. Your right about CJ, he had an awesome character arc. Not to mention a very badass death
Zack Snyder is an awesome director. Man of steel, watchman, 300, Dawn of the Dead, are all great movies. I'm Curious to see how army of the Dead turns out.
I've been watching scary movies since I was like 2 or so. I think the original Nightmare on Elm Street might've been the first one I saw. At least it's the earliest one I remember. The bonus scenes with the news broadcasts seriously freaked me out! That's the first time a scary movie made me feel that way!
The Unrated cut is definitely better. I guess that’s the version you watched because you mentioned the scene with the guy talking about when he realized he was gay. That scene wasn’t in the theatrical. The unrated cut is 10 minutes longer and it’s mostly character development, which really helps the film imo.
Awesome shirt. I was 10yrs old when I saw the trailer for the original in the theatre. I never forgot it! I wanted to see it soo bad but never got the chance. When I finally did years later it had worn off. When the remake came out I saw it opening day and was not disappointed. Someone should do a remake of this movie every 30yrs , keep tradition going lol
One of my all time favorite remakes let alone zombie movies, I've rewatched this countless times and yeah CJ is a certified badass! Def my favorite character too. I agree also would have loved for them to make a Day of The Dead/Island of The Dead sequel to this. There was that Day of The Dead movie that came out in 2008 which starred Nick Cannon that everyone thought would be a continuation from this one but uhhh yeah...it wasn't good lol Love watching your vids man, keep up the great work!
I love House Of Wax. It was 2004. I prefer this Dawn Of The Dead over the original. Just my opinion. I didn't grow up watching the original. I only watched it a couple years ago❤❤
Enjoyed the analysis/review. I don’t have too much to say about this that I didn’t like; I found all the characters likable and the fact it takes place in a mall works for me(love that elevator music).I go back to this every few months; really good zombie movie.
Is what makes this one of the better zombie movies is how aggressive in a fast the zombies are that's what you need to make scary zombies Walker's f****** stupid there's no reason you should get killed by one. 28 days later 28 Weeks Later they did a really good job 2
When this came out, I hated it. I think its biggest mistake was being called Dawn of the Dead. I remember people watching the 2004 version first and then saying the original one was shit in comparison. Its a great standalone zombie movie though, even though it has the fast zombies.
Great review!! The only thing I didn’t like about this movie was the super fast zombies and I agree about the pregnant woman not turning for a long time not being realistic. At least some people would have checked in on her periodically. I do think their leaving the mall to go search for some unknown island was not a good choice.
@@ReviewsRankingswithRobbySobel I love what Romero did with Dawn and Land is a lot fun and I like when Cholo gets bit he wants to see how the Dead live that was a cool idea by the legend Romero.
Pregnant girl was dead and tied up... delivered zombie baby. You liked the second 300 because of Eva Greene’s boobs... me too. Overall this movie rocks. No debate, the beginning of this movie is easy top 3. I’m sorry ... I throw this on more than the original.
Im debating on whether i should watch this movie forst before the review. The first 30 seconds doesnt seem promising. I get burnt out for zombie movies bc i cant suspend my disbelief. Everytime i see a bad zombie movie kills my interest in the genre for a while
The original is a slow burn but it is definitely one of the greatest zombie movies of all times(coming from a hardcore fan of the sub-genre). The zombie makeup isn’t great so don’t expect that, but the social commentary plus the character development/relationships really drive the movie home. The zombie is utilized pretty effectively as a monster for what they are in the film. If you have any other questions that would help make your decision i’d happily try to explain.
While I know this is a great remake, at the time it was released I didn't feel that way... This came out within a year of LOTD I believe. I seen both in theatre. In my opinion Dawn and Day should never been remade... It took time for me to appreciate Dawn remake and LOTD.
Honestly I don’t blame you made the right choice in not reviewing Day and Night remakes they are so 💩 except the 1990 version of Night that was amazing
Idk if you'll see this because the video is older but I have to say, unusually put off Snyder movie reviews on UA-cam because he's so unnecessarily hated, glad to see someone not like that. Also just want to add, while Gunn was credited as the writer, his script was heavily redone by two other guys. I guess it was some contractual issue or something for why Gunn is the only one listed and the other two guys were (rightfully) pretty bitter about it.
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 I should have known better anyway. I have to do the same thing for Rob Zombie's Halloween and you've gone to bat for those in the past too.

Well this is one of my favorite zombie movies along with Return of the living dead. I enjoyed C.J.'s character evolution too, he was one of my favorites by the end. I don't think you're racist for finding the joke funny, it was written for that. I have to say Shaq and Ving Rhames look nothing alike though, C.J. was just being an a$#hole.....but great movie, have not watched the earlier version. One last thing the women that run once they know you have kids......says alot about them and not you. My best friend knew her husband was a good guy by how he treated his kids. ....my two cents for what it's worth. Thanks again for your review.

I believe the pregnant lady was scratched, not bitten. So I guess the infection takes longer to spread if it's only a scratch.
