    Much better detail than other UA-cam videos - everyone else is a bit too superficial but your detail is great for medical students

    In the part of the lecture about simple and complex cells, it's worth noting that many simple cells also respond best to movement in a particular direction (so it's not just complex cells). In fact, in layer 4 of visual cortex, where visual input is received, simple cells tend to be more direction selective than complex cells.
