Those were afghan melons (very similar plants but Paddy melons have fruit that are bristly and 2-3cm in diameter).

Seems to me you need some Bridgestone Dueller's or some Mickey T's...to handle that work. So were there any springs or billabongs along the track, or would that only be in wet season?

On a serious note, so you guys are passing through The Murray Sunset National Park ? That follows the Murray River along from Vic to SA ? Going by your map footage its definingly not the case.
I know this place oh so well back in my younger years and there are so many tracks through this place to take you into beautiful camp sites.

I went on the Border track with my family and friends and it took me about two hours to get up one particular bill which I recon you would’ve go up

My first search told me the track closure dates.
Maybe look a bit harder.
Epic track isn't it but it is always closed during the hot summer months it's really only a winter track and those bog holes get a lot bigger good episode guys anyway cheers legends ☺️

That section of the track has been closed every summer for many years now. It's the best part but not the best for towing.

Last time I was warned about a track that gobbles up cars (Harry’s Hole in WA) I did it and the car got gobbled up 😅

It’s the worst road I’ve ever drivin on, massive wombat holes that just throw your car from side to side for the entire track
