- Hi All in this video, the first of a series, we'll take a look at the town water fill point on the rear of my 2014 conqueror UEV 490 van.
There will be plenty of vids coming up on the 490 with similar tips and tricks videos just like this one. feel free to share if you know something that might be worth doing a video on for other 490 users.
Nice bit of gear
Good luck on your new journey
Always a pleasure to watch what ever you put up.
Love the new dog, hope all goes well with him.
Thanks fore sharing
Talk about people looking like their pets, the only thing missing was his glasses. Looking forward to new camping and products vids😊.
Well done on the new van mate, looks like a great piece of gear, looking forward on the next videos
I’ve been day dreaming at those for years. They look like a great camper.
Having the sink buckets, the pantry system and inside outside tables look to be real smart thinking.
Id love to know how big the front bed is and what the Weber storage looks like.
Interesting mate. Cheers Steve
Most other 490 town water is on the draw bar, just one thing, move your tank breathers from the rear as the movement of water in the tanks sucks water into the pipes as you drive in dusty conditions.
Cheers Mike. Yes the discussion that was had questioned if it was factory or not and seems locations can vary. I would have expected it to be at the front somewhere. My normal tank filll point is at the rear beside the spare tire. Cheers for the pointer on the breathers. They did have some filters in the end but they had clogged up so I pulled them out. It seems they're still not breathing though, as I'm still getting suction from the fill cap when opened. So that's on the list of things to do.
@DENMONKEY also check your dual battery wiring, they come out of the factory with a badly wired system, you will need to re wire them if it already hasn't been done, message me if you want clarification on this, especially if you are considering lithium.
You could look at getting an inline ball valve and have it there permanently.
Who's that good looking chap at the start of this vid 😁
You just removed the dust cover, Get a brass fitting they only need to be finger tight to seal against the rubber seal. That’s a dumb move leaving it as you have.
