Through the preaching of the word at church I knew God was correcting me on wasted time that I was doing on instagram,giving more time to him is so much more important ❤

You are such a blessing. I started a Bible reading plan in January and it goes through the whole Bible in a year. I listen to my verses each day usually while doing dishes or laundry. I love it because my kids hear it too. We have a rule about no screen time until you’ve read your Bible each day, and I like to show my kids that I stick to that rule too.

I admire that you are able to keep a slower pace with 3 children. My children are in their 20’s now but I tried and tried to keep a slower pace pace but the world of sports did not allow that.

They are long and it takes a long time to get through one for me but I love them. Moving social media icon off my main Home Screen of my phone has helped. Amy I want to let you know that about 4 yrs ago I had to leave my job for health reasons. As a hustle and bustle type of woman, going on disability which took another year…was difficult for me. I too sought a therapist for this reason and still see her. She’s like a friend now. Then covid hit. I spent my time learning to take time for myself, fixing the house and quite honestly with my then high school son home for school, I enjoyed it having lunch together, talking more. And one of the main reasons I mentally was able to tackle a lot of things are bc of channels like yours. Such motivation! So Thank You! I have found motivation to make my home more cozy and comfy. I love your channel especially bc of our love for God. ❤

Our world today is too fast paced and upsetting- and yes, God wants us to to slow down and savor the everyday precious moments with our children because they will be all grown up before we know it. My routine has been way off for a while now and I've struggled to get it back together, but I'm currently dealing with a minor injury that is keeping me from doing my favorite activity, which I acknowledge is a time-consuming activity, so though I'm bummed to take the necessary downtime to heal, it has definitely helped me to catch back up with some tasks (weed-eating, cleaning up the back of my property, etc.) that I had been woefully negligent with lately! Your videos are always a calming place I like to visit when I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed, and the timer tip is always one I enjoy and am so glad you reminded me of today!

I asked on instagram if you could give me the details on them. I would love to start a rose garden next year and the color of these pink/lavender tea roses are spectacular. We moved into a different home last July so we are finished with the landscaping that we are going to do this spring. But next year...roses are something I would really like to venture in to. Amy you have encouraged me to scale back on social media. I have been thinking about putting my phone and iPad down and read my Bible more or listen to worship music. We are alike in a way that I love serenity and don’t enjoy having lots of things to do in one day.

Amy, time with God and His Word fills are hearts no matter when we read or listen to it. As for moving, I am sure you have been given this advice, wait several months of living in your new home before purchasing furniture or rugs, etc, put what you have now in your rooms and live with that before jumping into large purchases.

I so loved your talk about wasting time. I've been there now for about a month trying to cut back on my time on utube and Facebook and more time with bible study. Your video is just perfect in every way❤ My husband and I exited social media all together as our own personal choice because we were missing out on each other, our children, and our lives. The Lord really led us to that decision 🙏 It's been the best decision for us, though I know it isn't for everyone. I started doing the Bible recap with Tara-Leigh Cobble this year. It only takes about 15-20 minutes a day. Reading the Bible in a year seemed intimidating, but I usually just listen to the Bible and Tara-Leigh does a recap about the verses. It has been super attainable.
Same! I am half way through it now, I love Tara-Leigh Cobble & her books she has out as well are a good read!
